If you are a Lonzo fan, you should be rooting for this guy to get away from LA. Anyone who hates Lonzo wants him to stay in LA. The only person benefiting from that arrangement is LaVar.

Lonzo is lucky he has a rookie coach. What do you think Rick Carlisle, or Doc Rivers or Lionel Hollins or many other NBA coaches would have done - they would bench Lonzo forever just to prove a point to pops and GM, even if it threatened their jobs. Plus, what do you think is the trust level of other players on the team for Lonzo? With this much media attention, you have to be careful what you say when he is around, you dont know how much will leak back to pops.

In hindsight, LA was not the right spot for Lonzo's career. The kid needed to leave home so he could grow wings. Im hoping Magic Johnson realizes this and pulls the trigger sometime. There is some team out there who will trade meaningful pieces.

Different world, different strokes. I cant go into details here, but if you see an AA man in his right mind, with wife and kids, the guy is not ordinary. If you put him in Lagos, Kingston, wherever, he will succeed. It is impossible to depict the mental and spiritual warfare they have to contend with from jump. That is probably the one thing I still dont understand about LBJ. For someone with no father figures, he still grew up and came out well rounded. My point exactly...Durant has not shown he can carry a bad or average team into the finals, much less win. LBJ carried a really crappy Cavs into finals vs spurs very early in his career.

Imo, if you trade Durant and get P George, Warriors still look deadly. If Durant goes back to OKC, do they win a ring? I doubt it. If Durant moves to the east and joins cavs, and LBJ joins any other team in the east, who is still the favorite to come out of the east. The king nau.

If people are knocking LBJ for not winning every time he went to the finals, the same standard needs to be applied for Durant - has he done what LBJ has done. No.

I am sorry, though Durant is nowhere near Lebron, considering their overall careers, Durant is better at this point, seeing is believing, he outplayed Lebron in their christmas match up, he guarded lebron most of the time, thus he was most instrumental in limiting Lebron to a low 20 points. And for skills, he is probably better than Lebron now, skillwise.

I saw that caption on Yahoo but can't ascertain if it was just a click bait. Fact is, the post game interview I watched he basically said he wanted to guard Lebron because both are small forwards and he felt the players playing the same positions should guard themselves.

Whether he will achieve more than Bron is debatable. I don't think he will (individually) but as of now, the least he can be is on Bron's level. It might sound quite unfair to Bron considering he is having one of his best regular seasons statistically, but KDs much improved defence cannot be overlooked. Players genuinely fear to go to the rim when they play us.

you should check it - he did say that. and the way he was clapping yesterday, after fouling LBJ on the way to the rim like he achieved something was annoying. but its durant tho.....what else is new

no you are not wrong. Notice no one is comparing Durant to Kobe, or Jordan. They mention Lebron because he is the face of the league. A lot of what Durant is able to do is on the back of being on an already great team. I know SmoochChn and co will rag me for such a statement, but its the fact. Durant is nowhere near Lebron caliber. or Kobe caliber. Or Jordan caliber. Cat needs to be a little humble - Kyrie has a bigger impact n the Celtics than he does on the warriors, yet you dont see Kyrie claiming he has the same skills as Lebron

The nets have the fastest pace in the NBA. Only natural for an old team like the Cavs to have troubles against them. Plus they're shooting the 3 ball amazingly well. The Cavs defense is definitely improving, more players like jae and wade blending in and becoming more consistent.

LeBron just came back after getting those stitches pissed and decided he wasn't going to lose. Plus he only played 33 minutes which isn't too bad.

Calm down, it's a process. You've seen glimpses of their brilliance and what they can be even without their second best player IT. Assembling the great heathen army won't be easy, but once they do it, boy will it be glorious to watch.
