I have a lot of igbo friends and trust me their intention as at the election was simply a destructive plan to destroy the chances of an APC guber.
Was the candidate popular? Was he the preferred candidate? Please stop this APC sympathy Sh!t.

Folks like you would be the ones to vote APC again because you hate pdp forgetting they are the same.

I understand the lack of trust in govt. But I choose to give this administration benefit of the doubt.
Besides the bigotry started when igbos chose to marginalize themselves further by deciding a block vote for GEJ. Who's fault is that? Let's not play the blame game.
I never believed in this government from the word go because I'm a good student of history and I knew from the beginning buhari had nothing to offer than massage the ego of the north over power returning to them and the south west over pushing out their enemy GEJ.

Now you brought the Igbos into the matter. Did I mention them? Also if you think it's just the Igbos, think again. Right now in this country, the average southerner especially SS SE hates the Fulani Hausa mainly because of the herdsmen menace and the handling by government. The average Christian is ready to take up arms against Muslims because of their excesses and the non chalant attitude of government towards it.

The Igbos or any body has a right to vote for their preferred candidates. Was it all Igbos that voted GEJ? Likewise it wasn't all yorubas and Hausas that voted Buhari.

So let's stop that rubbish talk of why did this party or group vote like this; this is a democracy and everyone has a right to choose their preferred candidate.

And you must be a PDP avenger.
Your assessment is so biased it's ticklish.
Is APC responsible for ethnic bigotry?
How do you rate job creation zero? You no get Fear of God?
On corruption, what else do you expect when the erstwhile govt has bought out the judiciary? And you must be kidding if you deny that money's have been recovered.

Agreed businesses have suffered especially due to the forex fiasco. This is where this govt must concentrate among other things as it has a domino's effect on the cost of living.
In all fairness my assessment was more transparent and realistic than yours which is obviously tainted with bias.
Ethnic bigotry has always been in the country but your master increased it astronomically by his 97 and 5 percent theory. Nigeria was divided across religious, partisan and tribal lines but he widened the gap.

On corruption you claimed The last admin bought out the judiciary...seriously can you hear yourself? The monies been recovered without owners you seriously believe those stage managed media brouhaha? What the average Nigerian doesn't know is anti corruption war is beyond running after thieves and jailing them. You are simply making them to think smarter.

Anti corruption is creating an environment that makes it difficult for people to steal. But has your god done that? Does he even have an idea about that?

About being a pdp supporter, I'm not.. .in fact f**k pdp. They are all the same but Buhari has failure engrained in his DNA. He breathes, baths and eats failure. If failure were a course Buhari would have a Nobel peace prize in it.
Politics › Re: Bola Tinubu's Democracy Day Message To Nigerians by bishopkay: 12:32pm On May 29, 2017
Is the president not meant to release a democracy speech early this morning to us? OK he is sick and incapacitated and in the hospital but I thought they said osibanjo is the acting president?

OR IS THE "COORDINATOR" CLAUSE DOING MORE HARM THAN GOOD? because in his capacity as acting president, he is meant to address the nation.

This among others were the concerns raised by patriotic people who spoke against ambiguity in the constitution but they were shouted down and called wailers.

These are really trying times for Nigeria because it means osibanjo is just a figure head and can't make executive decisions.

pressplay411:
Happy Democracy Day!

It's been 2 years of the APC Buharii led government. Do they deserve kudos or knocks?
Lets weigh their achievements along side their failures sectorally.

Reporting as observed in Lagos
Achievements
-Improvement in Electricity in recent times.
-Improvement in Transportation. Road repairs and reconstruction is impressive.
-Stable pump prices in recent times.
-Payment of public servant salaries has been steady.
-Impressive fight on Corruption evident in recovered stolen funds. Kudos to whistle blowing.
-Security is commendable although improvement is still required.
-Job opportunity created by N-Power is also commendable

Failures:
-Forex is a fiasco, destroying so many businesses.
-High cost of food items
-High cost of running business
-Healthcare system is still a mess, pray not to have an emergency.
-Public education system is still an eyesore, with schools and students shutting down due to strike actions.

Rating the governance of this present APC led adminstration may be premature, it is still imperative to assess its performance. So far, they get an average. A lot of improvement is needed especially on the areas of Commerce and Agriculture, Education, Healthcare and Ease of Business.
From what I read there, I concluded you are an apc symphatizer. This is buhari government score card after 2years
1. Ethnic bigotry -excellent
2. Job creation-zero and if you call n power a job, can 30k cater for a fully grown man in Nigeria today? Also let them wait till the two years contract expires then they go back to the streets.
3. Killing of businesses, job losses -excellent
4. Corruption: on the issue of recovered monies, how many people have been prosecuted? Can they account for the recovered monies?

The middle class is gradually being eroded away from society by this clueless myopic government.

I haven't even began Talking about the visible cracks and division in the Nigerian polity

LOL first of all you need to stop lying to your fellow wailing zombie, Crude oil was still above $80 in 2014 and drop in late 2014 and was still above $60 per barrel.. Mind you when it fell below $100 that was when dollar rise from 199 to 225..

When crude oil price fell bellow $80 dolalr rise to 265.. By the time GEJ hand over to Buhari crude oil has drop bellow $60 and then dollar was around 285..

Again Emefiele was the CBN Governor under GEJ and still remain the CBN Governors please why can't he perform the same magic..

When there's corruption in the land everything will keep flowing because someone that stole money will build/buy house, Buy cars, share money to people etc.. But in a situation where there's is no corruption no one will splash money around since they have no access to free money anymore and those that stole money then are afraid to spend it...

Either you like it or not PMB remain the best and international community are commend him so far because that know how badly Nigeria was looted in the past..

All you can do is wail PMB till 2023..
About your claims on oil price, hope you have proof? cos I can give you a dozen proofs on what I said.

The economic policies maintained by a government goes a long way to make an economy buoyant or not.

Well it'd be a waste of my time to even argue with you; as from your "recessive grammatical constructions" I can only conclude you are one of the almajiris who need alhaji's support to feed so who are you to go against the wishes of alhaji?

Have a nice day

Sai Baba till 2023..

The lady fail to tell us how much is crude in 2014/2015 and now..
You can vote a dog for all I care I don't give a damn! I just want to correct an impression - crude oil prices Started falling in 2013 and fell below 30 USD in 2014 and maintained that low till 2015; yet things weren't this bad.

I don't know why you people would never tell yourselves the truth.

If the problem was all about low oil prices and corruption, why is it that even with the appreciating price, the economy still remains in shambles. Why is it that even with the "massive looting" that took place under the previous admin, it never got this bad?

This administration pack lacks what it takes to maintain a stable economy. They lack the know how and policies to alleviate the sufferings of the masses on the economical haemorrhage they've made the country pass through.

These facts are glaring yet we still support the rubbish! Nonsense!

At times I wonder how people still survive in this hell hole of a country

Please Mr blackaxe I would like to know how I exuded ignorance on the subject. The subject said the FG paid 2million euros from our national coffers to Boko Haram to release some 82 phantom girls. The indirect meaning of this is the FG is indirectly funding terrorism on its own soil as nothing would make Boko Haram not to plough back the said money into the fight against the Nigerian state.

Had it been GEJ who did this, Sahara reporters, the nation newspaper, punch, APC media office ET Al would have turned analysts now on how the money would be chanelled back to fight us,. This is like music to my ears. Read my yesterday post below. Mtn are thieves

Good day House. Mtn just ripped me off my data. They said I used up 1.5data in 24 hours for facebook and nairaland.

I subscribed may 15th at about 11 am. I had a 50mb bonus on my phone from the vtu recharge I made that was still very active then even before I subscribed. At about past 2 pm yesterday 16th may, I was sent an SMS that my data was exhausted and my access suspended. I initially thought it was my 50mb bonus that just got finished so I went to dial *131# to confirm only to see the shocker there that my data was gone. Now let's lay down the facts

1. I use data but I've never used up 1.5gb in less than a week before. This includes streaming of YouTube tutorials ooo and tethering to my laptop.
2. Since 1.5 GB wasn't lasting me again like before, I had to start subscribing 3.5gb at 2k. Which lasted me last for about 3 weeks with streaming and tethering.
3. Now I didn't even stream any video nor did I carry out any downloads; I didn't even tether to my laptop. I only accessed facebook, nairaland and some few sites within this time frame when Mtn fraudulently stole and zapped my data.

So I called their customer care and they suddenly couldn't access the portal where they could check my data usage. Even when I went to their office; they told me the same thing.

I waited till night then called again and this time, they could access the portal. Guess what the lady or one of their robots on the phone said. She said and I quote "you used high data volume between yesterday (being the day I subscribed) and today 8 am when the data got exhausted". When I probed to know the "high data volume" applications I used, she suddenly went mute as it became obvious she was reading that rhetoric from a computer screen. Because I have been made to understand they can to a great extent tell you how you spent your data.

Now they were so dumb that they couldn't even perfect the steal. To prove they are lying, my data access got suspended at about past 2 pm yesterday not and not even 8 am their "robot" said. Also my people please help me ask... Since when did facebook become a high data consuming app? Since when did nairaland become a high data consuming app? Since when did Google Search become a high data consuming app? That can finish 1.535gb in 24 hours?

I have normally let their many excesses and high handedness slide but this particular one, I won't let it slide. The 1k is very small money to me but what if it had been my last? What if it was the only hope I had to the outside world?

What I've promised myself to do is launch a major social media campaign against them and totally boycott them while advising my colleagues and friends to do same except they either return my data or explain to me the "high data volume " applications I used.
The phone number where the data was stolen from is 090383563**please if you also know where or how I can report then to the NCC please help a brother. If you can, forward same. Thanks

If you are honest with yourself and not trying to justify your salary at MTN, is nairaland a high data consumption site, using facebook on chrome is it a high data consuming activity? Putting my phone ON CHARGE and going to bed is also now a high data consumption activity abi?

Newsflash pal... Life is hard! You think making a logo and branding it is easy ehn? Did you see the products the girl displayed on that thread? I doubt the whole business including the shoes and equipment the girl displayed is even worth up to 50k. Yet you want her to go and "make a logo"

Every business has a budding stage just as how many people go into business for many reasons. Some go into a particular business to create a name -a long lasting one while some go into a business to avoid hunger. The girl may be in the later category I just mentioned who's just trying to make ends meet and jump upon the next available job she sees that would pay her 40k a month.

Availability of a tool does not warrant its abuse.

Nigeria already has a very bad image, we don't want to add "knock-off exporter" to it.
The lady might not be aware of the gravity of her actions but many of people
praising her work(including the logo) knew but ignore it because she is industrious
which does not follow.

We should demand higher standard from ourself, else we and our children wouldn't
escape the mediocrity class.

I don't know where you get "tribal hate" from my post, I never suggested such
and foreigners do not see tribes they see Nigerians.
Does it make sense if I suggest that you are supporting the girl for tribal reasons,

My friend, you got me wrong in the "tribal sentiment" talk. I'm sorry if it rubbed off you the wrong way. I was only just stating the obvious tribal bigotry that has become so glaring on NL and I was hoping you were stating your points from a neutral point of view. I'm sorry once more if you misunderstood me.

Obviously we have a lot of work to do in this country as regards some things but let's get there first. Remember the Bible says "when there is no law, there's no sin"

When customs and the authorities prevent these importers from bringing in these logos and copyright materials and selling them in our markets with confidence, then we can begin to blame the cobbler who's just a small fry in the scheme of things.

Nigeria isn't yet a sane clime so instead of you roasting the young lady, take out your bile on the importers and producers of the logos and materials, the customs service that cleared and allowed them into the country and the authorities that allow them sell it openly with confidence.

Until you do this, attacking the lady would be hypocritical on your part because if those things weren't in the market for sale, she wouldn't have had access to them to produce her shoes in the first place
