Politics › Re: Inconclusive Elections – A New Concept We Must Embrace And Support by bishopkay:
DropShot:
What's your point?

Please enumerate them without betraying your emotions.
My point is this
1. Elections been inconclusive isn't a healthy way to run INEC cos of the kind of country we are in. The winner takes all kinda affair will definitely show in the results.
2. It is a show of incompetence by the police and other security apparatus in the place if an election is inconclusive due to electoral violence. WTF are they doing therehuh
3. It shows the level of unpreparedness, laxity and incompetence of the INEC and its elecoral officers if logistics fail on that day. It is their job to plan and they are well funded for that.
These are just a little of the points that abound.

Then i have a question for you. If the present INEC is having a hard time conducting elections in just a state or senatorial zones as the case may be, what becomes our fate when they finally conduct the 2019 general election?
Do you know the tension, bad blood, hate and possible civil unrest that would occur if peradventure the presidential election were declared inconclusive?
How did Jega manage to conduct conclusive election? Our elders say a fish begins to rot from the head and its fast becoming clear that the inncompetence of d Bhari administration is already seeping through to all agencies and parastatals under it.
Also if you claim all election results conducted by PDP were doctored, since they weren't declared inconclusive, then it would not be bad belonging to the school of thought which says Jega rigged the last election results for buhari; afterall we even saw the pictures and videos of under aged voters in the north.

So many mÔrons running loose on NL. Elections been inconclusive is now what you people want Nigerians to accept now ehn? How do you people even think?
So you really feel the area at Imo state rerun that was declared as conclusive didn't have any incidences of violence, or intimidation or electoral malpractices?
If this is what we have become as a people...so blind to the truth because of partisan affiliations, then I sincerely weep for this country!

Also, as a precaution, I usually take everything this administration dishes out with a pinch of salt.
We've all seen the draconian and sectional modus operandi and drama surrounding the DSS under this administration.

Which mighty dey fall? You have made very good points. Let us blame Buhari for this strange happenings.. Under this government, efcc can arrest, speed off to the nearest customary court, seek for extention to allow for long time to detain, and then detain and look for evident, under this Buhari government, dss has turn to polgovernment, the dss, the efcc etc. do not know how many people are arrested, how many people are charged to court. How many cases have actually started. Under this Buhari government, every thing is gone meaningless. If Buhari, his zombies, the dss are an inch near normalcy, how come dss can arrest for planning an impeachment? Under normal situations, the dss should have asked the governor all the accusations first and follow up.Those are some of the points you would have mentioned and not how are the mighty fallen.
True tak man...the impunity they were shouting during GEJ'S time, they have even added a new meaning to it. Thanks to Buhari

I doubt you reside in Lagos.

But to the main issue, I agree with you that Fashola didn't understand the power sector and that was the reason he said all the things he said. But now that he understands he attempts to let Nigerians know the real situation of things and that these things take time. But is it not that because of your dislike for him you refuse to see the factual nature of the situation? I am glad you didn't contradict any of his facts. Whether you like Fashola or not facts are facts. Eg. TCN cannot yet transmit more than 5000MW but they are working on it. Thanks to NDA they work will take longer than it is planned.
I don't stay in Lagos...I only visit. Then we finally agree on something wink grin grin Fashola was garrulous and that's why people don't want to hear any of his explanation. If you check the stats, hope for power has never been this high on any minister of power before fashola because he said he could do it and was given the job.
I don't hate Fashola I just hate it when people think they know all. I pray for him to succeed even though I know it will be like a camel passing through the eye of a needle because the problems are not yesterday's problems...they are accumulated problems right from when Obasanjo spent 16 billion Dollars and couldn't add to our national grid.

They are productive
You are not
That's why they can afford the living standard at 315 per litre and you can't at 145
Maybe you are not productive because I'm and the last I checked, I'm an employer of labour.
Even if pms sells for 500 a litre, I'll still afford it to run my house and business but what about the poor man? The one that relies on his I pass my neighbour to light up his house at night and charge his phone.
Lesson: Life doesn't revolve around you.
Back to your topic...pms is sold at an average of 3.44 Ghana cedis. Ghana has under 3% of its population living below poverty line. She has under 1.9% of its population unemployed with an average net salary of 873.65 USD per month https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Ghana?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C8515379219 and a minimum wage of 7 ghana cedis per day. Compare with Nigeria’s https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Nigeria?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C7767116164
My friend hope now you can see that your comparison is vague. For the records, Nigerians are very industrious and hard working people

I doubt you read a quarter of the piece but here you are showing your dislike for intellectual reasoning. It is like a child who cries (or wails!) to mummy that he wants to eat and mummy says the gas just finished and that she would go and buy kerosene to complete the cooking. The little child most likely not understand that 'epistle'. All the child wants is food! Whether the mum has to cut his hand for him to eat he doesn't give a damn!

Many Nigerians are like that baby. The don't understand process. They think results are magic. Why won't they think like that? Some of them had their Final year Long Essay(project) written by 'consultants'. They have not yet developed the power of intellectual rigour to get things done. Hence they can't show empathy to anyone doing the same.

Fashola, to me, is a presidential material.
gringrin Sorry to ruffle your feathers but I doubt you could comprehend what I wrote there.
Over the years in my business dealings, I've a simple principle...put your mouth where your money is. Fashola said a serious government should be able to solve power problems in six months. He further boasted of what he did in Lagos and peeps like you applauded him.

Fast forward to over six months since getting the portfolio of the power ministry and we are even worse off than before he took over. Excuses, excuses and more excuses. Is he indirectly telling us the Buhari government isn't serious?

About you thinking Fashola is presidential material, that's your own opinion and you are entitled to it. I actually thought in that light too one certain time until he went about maintaining websites for 175 million naira.
Also for your information, the problems there are not unique to him and I read more than QUARTER of the original post gringringrin #peace

You didn't answer my question.

Remi Tinubu's silence on the issue shows she regretted her wrong use of word.
Did she take the issue further after that? No
But Dino won't let it end there, would he?
If you can approach the issue above ethnic lines and get over the hangover of your lost in the last election you'll understand why most people blamed Dino.
My point here is premeditated on Dino's antagonistic attitude in the house.
So u say Remi regretted her use of wrong words hence her silence on the issue. So let me ask you...did anyone call out Remi Tinubu, Did anyone tell her not to come to Kogi or NC or issue any ultimatums for calling a grown man a thug and a doghuh Did anyone issue any statement condemning her action? No But y'all flooded media space cursing, threatening and issuing ultimatums to Dino to apologise and not come to the SW until he does.
So in my opinion, Dino acted right and like a man by going to Lagos to prove to everyone you fear God not man and deflate APC SW ego forever on the matter of declaring him person non grata in the zone.
Tinubu is a man and can't do sh1t! I just SMH for y'all idolizing that guy.
