Fashdeejay:That's what they are pushing for o. https://www.nairaland.com/5591763/cjn-sharia-law-not-islamisation .Read the first three paragraph of this news well please. They want the law of their religion to fully govern their life. |
freeze001:Please who is "you people"? |
Debaiz:No o. they know how to soften it to the advantage of their religion once that is allowed. |
Khaleell001:Do you follow news at all? It was stated in news few days ago now. https://www.nairaland.com/5591763/cjn-sharia-law-not-islamisation read how they claimed the "whole life of Muslim is governed by the law of his religion" there and stop making it look like I overreacted. |
It is worth as a Nigerian, but in Nigeria, I don't think do. |

What is religion? To me it a channel toward your spiritual edification. It is faith based and therefore based on beliefs and interpretations. We debate about needless thing too much. Let the seating govt be neutral for once. |
I have been watching this attack on SW choice of 2015 and 2019. If in 2011 the SW split their loyalty almost equally between both leading parties like they did in 2015 & 2019, why are some persons blaming it for giving Buhari advantage? The argument that Tinubu or SW installed Buhari is flawed. The battle was won and lost in the hands of the millions of Christians in the north. They felt betrayed by PDP with the violence going on under PDP. They turned against PDP. The underage army also played a good part but then they did it under the watchful eyes of PDP. So let the bitter talk about SW subside please. |
There is a reason why people don't do change of religion when they convert, that's because religion is just a belief system towards the edification of the spirit man or the spirit of man. It is a link or channel to the unseen realm. We are taking it too far when we start having talk like what OP is supporting. A law is a central entity and common denominator for orderly society that cannot be duplicated talk less of being open to numerous interpretations. |
Please OP should answer some basic questions. 1. Will this law cover Christians and non muslims in a Muslim dominated area? 2. How does the constitution determine who is a Muslim and who isn't when a criminal is caught and about to be charged? 3. Who is a Muslim by constitution? 4. If while maintaining Christianity as status, I molest your sister or close female relative in the morning and I am caught in the act then docked, can I accept Islam before being charged and still be taken to a open court as against Sharia court? 5. In event of a conflict with constitution, can sharia override constitution? 6. Will the handlers of sharia court be elected by non muslims if they can judge cases affecting non muslims? 7. How does one Muslim hold the right to interpret the Quran for another Muslim? 8. Who handles a case involving a Muslim against a non Muslim? Sharia or open court. The duplication of law is clearly a potent recipe for unimaginable anarchy and I wonder why anyone would try to hijack a belief system like sharia advocates are doing. God help us in Nigeria. |
Under the new sharia push, the captured terrorist will be tried in sharia court because the Quran state that muslims should have their lives governed totally by Quranic laws. God help the Nigerian army. |
They clearly have nothing on him. |
kiekie1:If you wouldn't mind, I have some questions about these tabular and GEL batteries. 1) Can a regular solar charge controller work or effectively charge tabular and GEL batteries ? 2) Can I get 50 AH of brands like Luminous/Mercury ( good brands in Nigeria ) ? Am Willing to consider between 50 AH and 75 AH values also. 3) If No. 2 is possible, where can I get them ? copy CAROLYN19 |
Good. Let govt form a habit of reimbursing such entities and we will see an improvement in road constructions. |
Hostels with total capacity for 8k students or 8k hostels? |
The state defends a religion. I am wondering exactly what his offense is. |
I cannot disagree with the USA on this. |
Focus is beautiful. |
tartar9:So because of the posibilty of Enugu govt build churches, you support wastage. Thats strange. |
RichDad1:This is to technically a private affair. One northern state was reported to be planning to build over 50 mosques with taxpayers money. That one isn't being taxed. |
Racoon:The problem with trying bring personal religious beliefs into the judiciary system is simple. 1) Who is a Muslim? For example, can I offend as a muslims and convert to Christianity to escape harsh punishment or offend as a Christian and convert to Islam for lighter punishment? 2) Can change of religion warrant punishment? 3) Can religiously inclined laws override constitutional laws where there are conflicts? 4) Will sharia police go after Boko Haram(Muslims) instead of the NA? So many simple question begging answers about this our religious division of a thing. |
@Unique357, she disobeyed your order by not buying what she willingly collected money for, which amounts to deception. If she returns the money, fine, if she refuses then she did it out of bad heart for the maid/helper. You went a lil too far with the mother statement though. |
Nigeria... get well soon. |
Smell lies. How can your sisters not know the father of your out-of-wedlock babies? |
Are you sure there isn't a spiritual angle to this? Your mum shouldn't be praising you for being idle/lonely/depressed at home but you said she is. "Kokoro to oun je efo, ara efo ni o wa" translated that means " the insect eating vegetable towards death is always on the vegetable. It is a proverb used to stress the proximity of Sources of spiritual attacks to the targets. |
@Amujale, you are attacking the bible and have nothing against salvation. |
