biuti: You don't drop courses registered for previous semesters in a new one. This is why you should do so before, during or *immediately after the exams of the semester in question.
I met a woman that wanted to do exactly that last semester but was told to wait till this semester and was told now that it's not possible again.

ev4real:
yes. i have registered for the courses before, they are about 5courses. i will pick them one after the other. thanks alot from benin study centre.
Check aned's post, he said things has changed that you need to get the exams under "current registered courses". Maybe you should ask a counselor in your SC.

for any failed course, pending result or a course whose exam wasn't written as of the time it was registered need to be captured under current registered exam for such course(s) to be attended to.
any exam written in a particular semester whose total credit unit exceeds 24 units will only have result for courses that is less than or equal to 24 units.the excess units will be discarded.
the earlier we realize this. the better we make future academic plans for ourselves.
Discarded? That'll be serious. So one will have to write the exams again?
EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by biuti(f): 12:02am On Feb 10, 2016
NixowL:
Yeah, but only at the SC.
. When last did someone you know tried dropping it in SC? Because as of Monday 8th, Osogbo SC ICT said it's no more possible.

aned:
this use to be possible 'in those days',but as of sept/oct 2015 exam it wasn't any more.
any course that wasn't found under 'current registered exam' had issues.
all the people that came in for the e-exam to write courses they registered for in previous semesters did not find that very course in their e-exam portal, and the IT guys where under strict instruction not to attend to any exam issue that did not fall under current registered exam.
for pop all the people that wrote such courses are still having them as 'pending' in their portal.
so make your findings and let us know.
thank you.
Really? I'll find out. Maybe e-exam students didn't re-add the missed courses and redo the TMA. As for pop students, many registered courses in same last semester results are also pending.
PunterTim, read other's post or ask your school counselor, Noun changed many things this semester.
EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by biuti(f): 10:59pm On Feb 09, 2016
NixowL:
@ev4real, PunterTim: If you find that you missed an exam, it is expected that you drop it asap so your TMAs are not graded alone for the said course. This is the current position of things. Every other thing biu.ti said holds true though.
Really? I thought dropping of registered courses and exams are not possible again.
EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by biuti(f): 10:54pm On Feb 09, 2016
PunterTim:
..so you didn't re-register the exam?
Yes, one re-registers exam only if one fails.

PunterTim:
Is this option new,cos it wasn't available before?
It's not new, I've missed quite some numbers of exams at different semesters, I did only the TMAs and exams as told by the school. Every other person i know who missed exam did it that way and we didn't have problem with our results.

thanks alot. i will just register 10 courses while during exam registration i will add 2 courses to make it up to 24units.
You don't understand, course registration will close and you can only register for the exams of the courses you register now except you have registered for the courses in previous semester.

Goodevening to this honourable house, i greet tola9ja, MimiHANS and many others. please i will like to find out if after registering 12courses =24units can someone add 3 more courses during exam registration? total registered courses will be 12 but total registered courses for exam will be 15. is it possible ? i anticipate your prompt reply.
You cannot register for exam of courses you didn't register but if you have registered for these 3 courses you are talking about in the previous semester, be sure that they have automatically added them to this semester courses, so you won't be able to register up to 24units again. This change started this semester.

The normal protocol is to register 1st semester courses during 1st semester and 2nd semester courses during 2nd semester.

One can do only the compulsory courses without ever doing the electives?
Don't try it if you want to graduate. There are numbers of electives you must do before you graduate depending on your department.

Take some time to consider the following :

1. Do you know how many ballpoint pens he has lost to clients?

2. Have you considered that that could have been the only pen he had to work with?

3. Did it also occur to you that having dropped the pen on the banker's desk(and not handing it back to him directly) , that another customer could have easily picked it up and probably forget to drop it back thereby leading to its loss?

4. Let's assume the pen gets lost, being the only one he's got to work with, he will have to leave his desk in search of another, customers would be kept waiting, he will be abused and accused of incompetence etc.

He may have over reacted but let's be considerate. He was gracious enough to let you use the pen. You should have returned the gesture by waiting for him to return so you could hand it over to him.
Wow, so on point.

Abortion is bad, no matter what.
The child should be seen as innocent which he or she actually is.
