ariesbull:LOL. Its just normal poverty. Poverty makes people or a place too old. Far older than their normal age and Ibadan is not an exception |
kristonium:Its like you think this is a joke |
So Ariesbull, Ibadan is actually a brand new poverty estate. There is nothing old about it. |
ariesbull:Founding and becoming a city are two different things. For founding and permanent settlement, Owerri was founded in the 14th century, but she became a city around late 19th or early 20th century. Ibadan was founded in 1829 as a war camp and was designated as a city when she became the regional capital in the 20th century. If you can remember, Owerri was one of the capitals of Biafra. Ibadan is the practical example of a house built on a weak foundation. Ever asked yourself why for an acclaimed ancient city, Ibadan has no archeological site? |
ariesbull:Owerri was actually founded in the 14th century. She is 500 years older than Ibadan |
ariesbull:They just ride on the fact that majority don't know that Ibadan is a modern estate to hide their poverty by claiming "ancient city" Even Ife is about 600 years older than Ibadan. Ibadan is as recent as Ikoyi estate in Lagos |
ariesbull:Ibadan is not an ancient city. Ages of cities is not judged by how brown their roof is. If we are to compare ages of cities in Southern Nigeria, then Awka is the oldest city in southern Nigeria. Awka is exactly 1,000 years older than Ibadan. By proven archaeological and scientific Carbon dating, Awka has been continously Inhabited as a guild city since 9th Century while Ibadan was inhabited as a permanent settlement from 19th century Benin City is even older than Ibadan. She was founded in the 11th century. That is 800 years older than Ibadan. Ibadan is one of the youngest cities in Southern Nigeria Research what I just told you. If we want to go by age, only Awka deserve the right to go by the title "Ancient City" |

Religion is what is holding us. See the fraudsters collecting thanksgiving for the fight of two unequal corruption. |
"Abandoned buildings" Damn, this brings back memories |
Very beautiful |
Advocate500:The future of Abia state to me will change unexpectedly when the people get tired. Currently, the majority don't look tired to me if you judge by recent political happenings in the state. Most of the indigenes that care and know what's up are either a great minority or don't have the capacity to play major roles in the next election. To be honest with you, if PDP field Abaribe for next election they will win with a great margin. The people currently have been programmed to overlook his poor performance in the senate or that of PDP in the state for the past 2 decades for the euphoria of his recent opposition comments. |
Advocate500:Oga give honour to whom Honour is due. It was the people not "luck" Looking at Anambra last election. Looking at the contestants, all of us reading this knows that of all the Igbo states, it is only in Anambra that Chukwuma Soludo will win 1. If it was Abia, you and I know that the winner will be Andy Ubah. No arguments there. He ticks everything most of Abia people want in a leader and you and I know what he ticks. 2. If it was the remaining 3 states (Imo, Enugu and Ebonyi) the winner will be Valentine Ozugbo. He ticks what they are looking for. So I repeat, what we have in Anambra is not luck but the decision of the people. Coming to Ngige and Peter Obi, Ngige wasn't voted for in that election due to what Anambra went through in the hands of his party (PDP), but someone PDP pulled a Nigerian politics move on the state and we got Ngige. For a candidate of PDP, he beat our expectations. Ngige started well but some of his projects were not completed before time elapsed. The person that completed it was Peter Obi. He could have remained docile but he choose to do it based on his and his party principle. Peter Obi still went ahead to lay the foundation of this development revival we are witnessing in Anambra state with his policies, financial management and reformations. So the face of Anambra reformation is Peter Obi. Speaking of political awareness, I doubt if Abia was Anambra state that TA Orji will win the second tenure and if he manages to win that PDP will continue after him after his shambolic display while in office. Coming to Imo, I doubt that other cities of the state will be neglected in the state, no matter the party affiliation and there won't be political ruckus. Mind you, when talking of political awareness, put in mind that Anambra state is the first Igbo state to introduce zoning of Gubernatorial candidates which has worked perfectly well for the state. |
Advocate500:Anambra did not become successful by chance. The people decided to make the feeling of the majority of the people in the state known after Mbadinuju. They unanimously voted out the two useless ruling parties despite the odds for a newly created Igbo oriented party. And yes, Nigeria repeated Buhari because he is the will of the majority. If Buhari contest for a third term, he will still win. Forget all these media noises, it was like this before 2019. Ngige did not win my dear. Ngige, though he did some excellent job in his short term before the decision of the people came to fruition and that decision was APGA. We tasted PDP once under Mbadinuju and ran away. We then vowed never to allow them near the government house until further notice. This is what Political awareness is. We didn't give PDP chance to take root like they have done in Abia state. And Yes, Anambra was arguably almost at the same level with the current Abia when PDP was running it until THE PEOPLE said enough is enough. Judging from your comment does Abia state look like something that will witness salvation when you rely on chances? We (Anambra) did NOT do it by chances. We came out to vote. The majority rejected Kerosene. We rejected Garri and Egwusi. Even in the last election, you saw the majority rejecting 5k after some people like the majority in Abia state collected can malt. So it was never by chance like you claimed. We know what we want and went for it. See how we defended our democracy in the last election after unfortunately, what looks like IPOB manipulation to return us to PDP because until now I have not heard them calling for election boycott in Abia 2023. And that your political awareness ranking in SE is wrong. The states getting it right tops the chart. I don't need to call names or point fingers but you know who. By now, if Imo State was Anambra, she would have gotten a commercial city not totally depending on the capital while Okigwe and Orlu is left for ruins. So I ask again, from your comment, do you see salvation coming to Abia state anytime soon? |
SoNature:Then what made "leadership" to fail in Nigeria? This is why I said "read to understand" Now go back and read that comment you modified out of ignorance. |

Read to understand |
SoNature:What builds morals and security is knowing the consequences of defaulting and how effective and swift the consequences will come. Do you know that in the land of those that dumped this dead religion on us, that the churches dare not use loud speakers except on special occasions with announcements duly made prior to ensure human comfort. The reasons why you lots are not developed is because there is no consequence for corruption and incompetence in Government. You know that your ruling politicians are corrupt, you can prove it but nothing in place to make them account for it, instead they move with your religious leaders to tie you down and prevent you from demanding your rights by deceiving you to pray for your oppressors instead of holding them accountable You catch a thief or any nuisance disturbing the peace of the society, instead of holding him/her accountable, you are encouraged by your religion to pray for one God to touch his heart. He goes free and still return to do more. This is what is holding Africa down. It is Religion. |
Ikpeazụ won free and fair. Even if Ikpeazụ is allowed to contest again, he will still win. The elected leader in any place represents the average mindset of the masses. Let me tell you people the truth, in 2023 Abia state will still get another person that is exactly like Ikpeazụ. Lets look at it critically, does Abia citizens see any issue with Theodore Orji? Or OUK? Nope. The same people that voted in three succession the likes of TA Orji, Orji Uzor Kalu and Ikpeazụ without seeing any issues with it will definitely vote in another person in the same mould. Just look at their best politician Mr Abaribe that haven't done anything in the past 4 years but is considered their darling. Forget social media fake intellectuals, the people of Abia still see Orji Uzor Kalu, TA Orji and Ikpeazụ as saviours.

MelesZenawi:I don't have time for fools, especially not on the last day of the year. Go back to your anti-Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB obsession |
SmartProf:I am concerned about the youths in the community because whether I like it or not, once the church is through with the youths, it will affect me wherever I am in the state. There is no poverty worse than that of someone defending what makes him poor like you are doing here. One thing about black people is that most of them are naturally generically engineered to be irredeemable useless, mental incapacitated to think beyond their nose like their continent. |
OK let the tithe, offering collection and brainwashing begin. Watch as joblessness, poverty and ignorance will skyrocket in the area while the deceived that fell for the scam will be waiting/hoping for advanced money and goodies in an imaginary heaven. This is an ancient but still surviving scam built on human greediness. They promise you eternal life which cannot be logically proved and unending goodies in a mysterious place while they take your remaining money, render you useless and (they) enjoy the current life and your money they made you reject in anticipation of the heaven, eternal life and goodies. Once you are not greedy and don't believe in easy route to enjoyment, you can never fall for religious scam as well as other similar scams like ponzi etc. Having said this, I will like to thank Obi Cubana for bringing more uselessness and poverty to his community. |

Still can't prove shit. Inferior savage |
No wonder their shapeless men are dying to have our angelic women. They risk dignity, tooth and nail just to have an Igbo queen they don't deserve. Marry or date an Afonjaress at your own risk. But seriously, the Afonjaress really "designed" the man |
mobilenewsnetwo:Nke a apụọ, "Anambrans" kwa after we have battled "Anambrarians" What is wrong with you people for God sake? If you make the name Igbo sounding like "Ndi Anambra" will your penis fall off? |
JANK23H:Still can't prove that your pirate savage ancestors were not existing in Southern Nigeria prior to 18th century? Mtcheww.. Its not as if I was expecting a surprise. Bloody inferior being that was dropped of by Europeans to constitue nuisance amongst us. |
Bigflamie:This will be the end result last last. They said that those who refuse to learn from history tend to repeat it. Many people that used to see this as an imaginary Biafran struggle is now seeing it as an attack on Igbo existence. This was how it was during the war. At the start of Biafran war, Biafran troops numbered around 2k-3k but at the end of the war they numbered 40k with an increase of 5k within 2 weeks. Many that stood on the sidelines decided to take active role because they saw it as a fight of survival and like the observers recorded "they were like moving death showing courage never seen in modern history. Some say they were like men with death wish" It was then that the Biafran side started retaking cities most notably Owerri. Effiong surrendering at that time was actually to return those men to humanity. I am opportuned to meet many of them and one thing I noticed that was common with all of them is that they rarely speak. Those that tell stories about the war are mostly those that didn't take active role in the later stages. |
JANK23H:Aro wannabe, you have not answered my own question. I gave you not 1508 but a thousand years before it so replicate the favour by accepting that you lots are just latest slaves that were dumped by the Portuguese and British ships at our shores that later took up piracy and cannibalism for survival. As for respect, it is not our wish to demand online respect when in reality you and your people literally worship the ground we step on. There has never been any near equal relationship between us and you savages. Unlike some people that their relationship is slave to master in Nigeria ours is Gods to Worshippers relationship. Your ancestors literally worshipped us. So no amount of blackmail or online rant can change that history. Inferior being. |
JANK23H:@ emboldened, when did you drop such senseless challenge? Every cat and dog knows that the earliest writing by those that saw southern Nigeria recognised the existence of Ndigbo, now the archaeological evidences like the pictures below finally justified the existence of Ndigbo continously in the geographical space they occupy today for at least 1500 years. We practically wrote our own stories which is older than when your first ancestor formed. Let me answer your question anyways, according to "Thurstan Shaw, Those Igbo-Ukwu radiocarbon dates: facts, fictions, and probabilities, Journal of African History, 1975" the radiocarbon dating of Igbo Ukwu artifacts date 9th-10 century while the site itself dates 850AD, showing proof that Ndigbo have been where they are for at least a thousand years back. The question shouldn't be about Ndigbo but you, is there anything that mention Ijaw, Jo men or any term you pirates go by these days prior to 19th century. Remember the time, unlike you that is looking for 16th, I said late 19th century. Anything before 1800. Archaeological or otherwise. And while at it, don't be as stupid like you when you Shameless lots claimed a Scottish man by presenting the Ibibio/ Obolo sculpture you drunks parade around. Have some dignity. It's not as if the sculpture is that old by the way, it dates to 18th century.
|
Do you know that the Igbo people don't believe that somebody can be homeless? This is one of the amazing but funny fact about the Igbo people. |
JANK23H:History is not borne out of wishes, talkless of that of a drunkard. None of the recorded part has been to your favour. If there is any, I challenge you to drop it here. Until then, you lots are just unfortunate drunkards with no history that think of themselves Aro whom unfortunately they worshipped. |
JANK23H:Getting discomfort from something borne out of severe inferiority and mere wishes? The only proven something between me and you drunks is that your ancestors used to worship mine, any other thing is mere wishes which end up backfiring like that of Scottish Jo (John) Wedderburn whom you savages of no history claimed to be one of you. When you talk about people with slaves, you talk about people like the Igbo family in the picture
