Who brought your shameful culture here?

NOT ME

However your lies will not go unchallenged

Your claim of egalitarianism is nonsense
yours is a misogynistic and backward culture
The more we go deep into this the more you will understand why the whites called Igbo political system the perfect democracy.

The more you see the huge gap our ancestors gave your primitive savages.

Can women land inherit in Eboe land
I told you that unlike your uncultured women that breed in their fathers house, ancient Igbo women marry.

They had established marriage system where the lady inherits what she would from her father at her marriage day.
She then later inherits her mother after her death.

Did you hear inherit her mother?
Unlike your uncultured and none industrious women, Igbo women make enough money and acquire wealth that upon their death is inherited by her daughters and her last son.

That is one of the rule of inheritance in ancient Igbo land.

One criteria for marriage in Igboland is that the prospective husband MUST provide her spouse with a house and enough farmland which is registered to her name (this is the female land inheritance you are asking for)

I can go on and on to explain the law of inheritance in Igboland but we will stop here as I have answered your question.

By the way, as you read this, take out time to savour the difference between our ancient sophisticated culture with that of your primitive improvisation.

What s striking about your history is you cannot mention ONE NAME of an Eboe person of significance

NOT A SINGLE NAME

When pressed you will say olaudah Equiano

A slave of arguable origin is that not embarrassing?

Not a single person male or female of any significance who did anything of note INSIDE Eboeland
Your history is one of enslavement by Ijaw Itsekiri, Efik etc

keep quiet and stop making noise
The only people with history of enslavement is Yoruba.
Prior to the christening of "Hausa Banza" which was the term you people were referred to by the civilised Huasa people, the modern day Yorubas were categorised as uncivilised people down south of Hausa land who were raided by Nupe and Jukun for further enslavement in Kano.

Kano was a city that at her zenith comprised of 60% slaves of which 40 out of the 60 is Yoruba.
The history of Yoruba in Nigeria can be demarcated into four.

1. Their enslavement by Hausa. Hausa later sold them off to the Arab world via trans-Saharan slave trade.
2. Their enslavement by Nupe and Jukun.
3. Their civilisation by Fulani.
4. The trans-Altlantic slave hunt. Hunt because unlike others, that of Yoruba wasn't really a trade.

The third was the last before the British took over. The remnants of their civilisation by the Fulani can be seen in their Aso oké, baban Riga and the official dressing of the Alaafin of Oyo which is a female Fulani dressing

Don't confuse your history with Ndigbo.
Ndigbo were never enslaved by any black.

When you are losing the argument or run out of ideas change to attacking others. The same tired tactics
We are not discussing Yorubas here. YOU are the ones claiming egalitarian NOT Yoruba
Yoruba do not deceive themselves claiming egalitarian

We are just letting you know that that egalitarian story is bullshitt

Leave that umuada story
Can women inherit land in Eboe land?
Can you talk of Egalitarianism and OSU ISM in the same space?
Was there slavery and indented labour in traditional Eboe society?

Women have no say in Eboe society just like in Feudal Northern Nigeria NO DIFFERENCE
You are the one that is losing here.

You can't bring my culture to the table for both of us to be analysing it while yours is hidden. You are ashamed of your own culture because of the injustice against her citizens and the misogyny associated with it.
So if I am to prove to you how egalitarian our culture is, I must use another for reference. Probably a proven one that is strict on women and commoners. That's where the questions on Yoruba unjust culture comes in.

Speaking of political equality in Igboland.
If you had known what Umuada is, you won't be asking how egalitarian Igbo culture is.
Of all the nations in Nigeria, its is few that their women participate in decision making of the community and Igbo is one of them. Yoruba is far from it.

Umuada is the opposite of Umunna in literal translation. Umuada is strictly for women as Umunna is strictly for men to ensure equality.
Both have specific roles they play in the society and one doesn't superimpose on the other.

Can the same be said for Yorubas?
PoliticsRe: How Igbos Lived In The Olden Days by Bkayyy: 4:17pm On Jan 08, 2022
aribisala0:
You will always have an alibi and excuse.
There s nothing egalitarian about Eboe society
You worship money as a god
What is egalitarian about the OSu caste system
Do Osus inherit Osu status?
Was there no slavery in Eboe society? How is that egalitarian
What role do women have in Eboe society? Egalitarianism does not extend to women?
Can women inherit from their fathers land?

Stop kidding yourself

Umunna is not egalitarian it is misogynistic
There is a political arm in the ancient Igbo Democracy called Umuada.
It is run by women. They participate in setting and reviewing laws in the society.

Now, to the misogyny allegations and caste system.
One of the prominent misogynistic culture in Nigeria is Yoruba.
Can you answer me these questions.

1. Why is it that a woman cannot be the Ooni of Ife?
2. Why is it that the only woman to be monarch in contemporary Yorubaland has conditions to be celibate why her male counterparts can marry as many wives as they like?
3. Why is it there are sections of the Yoruba community a female indigene dares not go close?

On the issues of segregation and caste system.
1. Why is it that not every family can become king in their own ancestral land?
2. Why is it that Yoruba titles are not borne out of merit but reserved for special families?
3. Why is it that a yoruba man is limited to the level of honour he can get from his own community due to circumstances of his birth?
4. Why are some families designated as unfit for equal treatment and some designated as sacrificial entities called "Abobaku"

These are just few of the over 20 questions on equality, caste and victim of birth circumstances in Yorubaland. Care to explain?

You can't confuse Ika Igbo phobia with any of Ijaw or even Yoruba.

Mr EILTD and Bonesking, if both of you are also Ika say so with your full chest and stop disguising.

If you two like playing ostrich when Ndigbo are smeared but have issues when concerned Ndigbo give the manner less groups a piece of Igbo mind or decided to return their smoke with fire then you two need serious deliverance.

You can play ignorant that the Ika history baring wouldn't have happened soon, especially not on this thread if the Ika dude didn't play the Ijaw game on the few Ndigbo holding up to their identity like a badge of honour in Ukwuani by wrongly calling them slaves whereas Infact they were the ones that bought and sold Ika slaves from their Bini masters.

Such stupidity is the height of tolerance we can give any self hating group like Ika.
And yes, Sufferingboy is Ika not Ijaw and what he he says here is unarguably the mind of most Ika home and abroad. Don't downplay it except you can prove me wrong with facts.

The Ika history baring/expose is bound to happen. Me helping shine a light to it on this thread is not even as a result of what the dude said but to address their stupidity old stupidity, atleast the new slave style now that it is still young.

Thank you both and God bless. Next time I can't guarantee that I will be this smooth.

Hello. I guess you know quite a bit about the civil war era. I wonder why the Biafrans fought like a national army Knowing they lacked a lot in armament? And they sustained that strategy till their defeat.

Do you think irregular approach or guerrilla would have made much difference in the outcome of the war?

Reading Chinua’s “there was a country,” one can see that the Biafrans were fightBig to hold territories. I think that was a wrong approach against a well armed “regular” Nigerian Army.

What do you think?
I go for Guerilla warfare. According to Wale Ademoyega, Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu suggested the same to Ojukwu but he didn't buy the idea.

If Ojukwu had agreed with Nzeogwu, Biafra would have been independent by now and the casualties would have been averted.

I don't care about getting the answers from any horses mouth that is Not Kaduna Nzeogwu, I had made it clearly I love Nzeogwu despite everything, if he wanted to fight from Midwest, he could have fought from Midwest, the only reason he was so involved was because he felt some guilt and he took responsibility and let me make something clear to you, wanting to preserve Nigeria is a personal choice and don't think you can ever trip anyone into going your aim, we are all entitled to our preferences, having said that, preserving or not preserving Nigeria is none of my damn business and so is fighting for Biafra, I'm entitled to my choices.
Nzeogwu realised at the denying minute that Nigeria is not worth the sacrifice him and his colleagues paid with the coup.
When the war started he aligned with his Nation, the Igbo nation. That's why he crossed the artificial boundary of Eastern and Midwest regions to identify with his Nation and the allies of his nation (Ibibio, Efik etc) that are facing the same threat.

As for your view on Nigeria, I don't know if you have realised that right now Ndigbo are at the verge of understanding that what matters is not ancestry but ideology. Ancestry plays a huge part but Ideology supercedes it. One can't use his Igbo ancestry as immunity to sabotage the interest of Igbo nation.

Technically, when looking at you, I see no difference between you, Udele and Chukwuma Dike. You are all the same to me.
I am even more cautious or you three than the Sahel dwelling Nigerians.
PoliticsRe: If There Is Any Past Nigerian I Would Go On A Long Bus Trip With, It Nzeogwu by Bkayyy: 11:45pm On Dec 17, 2021
Akụkọ.

If you wanted to know why
1. He fought for Biafra despite being from Midwest then, you should have asked Col. Joe Achuzia before he died in 2018. He was the most successful Biafran commander during the war and he is from the same town (Okpanam) as Nzeogwu.

2. He did the coup, you should have asked Col. Nwobosi before he died in 2020. He was the leading commander that captured Akintola in the Coup and he also fought for Biafra.

You see, answers to your problem were there but you ignored it while you were chasing shadows in the name of preserving this abomination of a country called Nigeria. Those of us that got our answers directly from the horses mouths have made up our minds.
