The biggest match in football club history (el clasico) Is Barcelona going to let Madrid go ahead on the league table? Let's watch and see by 9PM. |
What Amaechi is looking for will soon catch up with him. |
I have been wondering why politicians in general happen to turn yes-men when they're are politicizing. They say all sort of things to make sure they're elected in to that office and once they get there, they forget all their promises. I have been reading a lot of posts, newspapers, blogs etc. and I hear Buhari saying he won't be a dictator, that he wont tamper with the press, that he would give the south what is due them etc. I'm asking, how do these politicians sleep at night after making these promises... No one is an exception including Jonathan. Politicians!!!! we are tired of your wash.

The Assistant Inspector General of Police AIG in-charge of Zone Six, Calabar, Tunde Ogunsakin, has ordered the police commands under the zone to withdraw policemen attached to politicians in the state with immediate effect. Also, Ogunsakin warned that the C4I Unit of the Department of Operations should function as a formation of the Rivers State Police Command. He gave the order at the weekend, after a meeting he had with the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command, Mr. Dan Bature, and some other senior police officers at the State Police Headquarters, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt. According to the Zone six Police boss, the directives hinged on “serious reports” of allegations made against the C4I Unit, allegedly being used by a political party against members of another political party. Also, at the meeting was the Expatriate Supervisor of the C4I Unit, who denied all the allegations against the outfit. The allegations further held that there were plans to frame some individuals with the connivance of the C4I Unit. Ogunsakin further ordered the Police Officer, who heads the C4I Unit, SP Cashmir Ihiezu, to give daily situation report to the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command every morning. “The C4I Unit of the Department of Operations must continue to operate as a formation of the Rivers State Police Command and, in that light, must not take any action or make any deployment without the knowledge of the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command. “The Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command, and other Commissioners of Police in-charge of Akwa-Ibom, Cross River and Ebonyi states, should immediately withdraw all officers attached to political appointees in line with the directives issued by the Inspector-General of Police.” According to him: “This is premised on the fact that the Inspector-General of Police has withdrawn all previous approvals issued by him as more men are needed by the police commands during this electioneering period. “Anyone desirous of police security should re-apply to the Commissioner of Police for a re-consideration based on the merit of his application and the need for deployment of policemen during the forthcoming elections.” Ogunsakin further warned the C4I Unit of the Department of Operations should on no account post their officers to any political appointee or VIP. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations and the Officer-in-charge of Special Protection Unit (SPU) should take over all guard duties where the C4I unit was hitherto involved. The C4I unit should henceforth, stop featuring in political campaigns.” Also, the AIG had mandated the Commissioners of Police in the Zonal command to enforce the ban on use of tinted vehicle glasses and to carry out a thorough search of all vehicles. “The Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command and other Commissioners of Police in-charge of Akwa-Ibom, Cross River and Ebonyi states should immediately enforce the ban on the use of tinted vehicles and vehicles with sirens in line with the directive issued by the Inspector-General of Police. Military, insurgents in fierce battle at Damasak BY DORIS OBINNA Nigerian Air Force (NAF) warplanes yesterday sustained air raid on hideouts of Boko Haram in Yobe and Borno states. In the attack, many insurgents were killed. [img][/img] This is coming when the military yesterday engaged terrorists in a fierce battle at Damasak, a border town between Nigeria and Niger Republic. According to Major-General Chris Olukolade, Director, Defence Information, as part of ongoing operation to flush out terrorists in North-East, the Air Force continued the pounding of identified hideouts in Yobe and Borno states. “In the operation, many warplanes swam on identified locations, raining bombs, with mop-up on the ground simultaneously.” In a related development, troops yesterday engaged Boko Haram at Damasak, in an attempt to retake the border town. Nigerian soldiers and those of Cameroon, Chad and Niger Republic were involved in the operation. Boko Haram had attacked Damasak and Ashigarchi towns in Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State, killing over 50 persons on November 15, 2014. The insurgents had stormed the communities in Hilux vans and motorbikes, burning vehicles, houses and forcing hundreds of residents to flee to the Cameroonian borders. Sources confirmed that in the battle, the military had an upper hand, as soldiers push to recapture Damask, one of the boisterous border towns of Borno State, where farm produce like beans, pepper and tomatoes are produced in commercial quantity. The community is close to Diffa in Niger Republic and was seized by terrorists last November, as part of Boko Haram’s campaign to create a caliphate. Source: http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=109374

He looks like a thief too.. I heard the Monorail was complete already. What is he completing again? clevvermind: |
Thieves, dictators, scammers, quoropt people. GEJ ooooo that's who we want. |
Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Dakuku Peterside, has pledged to continue with the monorail project initiated by Governor Chibuike Amaechi, when voted into power, adding that the project was borne out of uncommon vision. Peterside, who described the rail project as a product of a man who saw tomorrow, commended the initiator, Chibuike Amaechi, for what he called his courage and visionary leadership. Speaking at a Town Hall Meeting in Port Harcourt, he said some projects by their size and revolutionary concept, are designed for more than a generation and that the Rivers monorail is one of such. Peterside said the monorail is at the same level with Jebel Ali Port, the maritime marvel of Dubai, which is the largest man-made harbour in the world. “When Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, a former vice president and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirate conceived the mammoth engineering feat in the 1970s, he was derided by people of his generation. But the truth he revealed is that Maktoun was clearly ahead of that generation. For instance, the Seattle monorail in Washington took eight years of planning; the Mumbai monorail in India also took eight years of planning and another eight years of execution”, he said. INEC plotted for the card reader to be used to rig the election with the following process. 1.) The card reader will only recognize the PVC 2.) The card reader will have to do a Bio-metric recognition of voter by capturing the finger print and then using an internet over GSM network to query the server of INEC in Abuja 3.) At this stage, most card reader will be jammed or network manipulated or INEC will just block the card reader from it`s office, thereby making the verification to fail. 4.) The person with the card will then approach the next adhoc staff to issue him/her with an Incident form, which the voter will fill and then be allowed to vote. ISSUES: INEC handed over bulk of PVC to some politicians across the country to help them distribute and these cards were warehoused by them On the election day, these politicians will use those cards, in connivance with the INEC recruited staffs. HOW? Remember, that the card reader is being used for accreditation, which means once a PVC is placed on it, it will count it as accredited (even if the finger print fails). So, this point is where the rigging takes place, as the politicians with these cards will now accredit all the cards they have the incident forms filled and then vote against these cards. PLOT: INEC will deliver faulty card readers to areas of strong hold of any candidate they can to loose and the cards there will not be verified and voters denied to vote. PROOF: In Afikpo of Ebonyi state, the card reader was unable to authenticate any single voter in the last saturday INEC mock testing of cards, even after all cards were verified by the card reader as INEC issued cards |
About 80 children rescued from a Boko Haram camp in Cameroon cannot remember their own names or origins, according to an aid official who visited them. The children - aged between 5 and 18 - did not speak English, French or any local languages, says Christopher Fomunyoh, a director for the US-based National Democratic Institute (NDI). The children were found at a camp in northern Cameroon in November. Nigeria-based Boko Haram militants have extended their campaign into Cameroon. The militants are fighting to establish an Islamic caliphate in north-eastern Nigeria. They control several towns and villages in the region and recently pledged allegiance to Islamic State (IS) militants, who have seized large areas of Syria and Iraq. 'Lost touch' The children were rescued in Cameroon after security forces - acting on a tip-off - raided what was thought to have been a Koranic school. Mr Fomunyoh told the BBC's Randy Joe Sa'ah in Yaounde that he had visited an orphanage that was helping rehabilitate the children. He said the children had spent so long with their captors, being indoctrinated in jihadist ideology, that they had lost track of who they were. "They've lost touch with their parents," he said. "They've lost touch with people in their villages, they're not able to articulate, to help trace their relationships, they can't even tell you what their names are." Meanwhile, a suspected Boko Haram attack on Tuesday killed at least six people at a marketplace in the northern Nigerian town of Maiduguri. The suicide bombing was reportedly carried out by a middle-aged woman. line Boko Haram at a glance Founded in 2002, initially focused on opposing Western-style education - Boko Haram means "Western education is forbidden" in the Hausa language Launched military operations in 2009 to create Islamic state Thousands killed, mostly in north-eastern Nigeria - has also attacked police and UN headquarters in capital, Abuja Abducted hundreds, including at least 200 schoolgirls Controls several north-eastern towns Launched attacks on neighbouring states Source: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-31815810 |
Well said. seunfly: |
A lot of people are above the law... GEJ is afraid to make some drastic decisions because of Ethnicity. Being a minority is GEJ's greatest weakness not BOKO haram... Still I think he's still the best candidate. |

A court in Ivory Coast on Tuesday sentenced former first lady Simone Gbagbo to a 20-year prison term on charges of “undermining state security” during post-election violence in 2010-2011 that left nearly 3,000 dead. The wife of former Ivorian president Laurent Gbagbo was also accused of “disturbing public order” and “organising armed gangs” after her husband and his supporters rejected results of the December 2010 presidential elections showing rival Alassane Ouattara had won the contest. simeone-gbagboThe court “unanimously” condemned her to 20 years in jail, court president Tahirou Dembele said in a statement Tuesday. Gbagbo’s face hardened as the verdict was read. She was “a little affected” by the sentence, her lawyer Me Rodrigue Dadje told newsmen. “I am ashamed of Ivorian justice,” he said, adding that they would appeal the sentence. “We showed that impunity in Ivory Coast must not continue,” said state prosecutor Soungalo Coulibaly. Laurent Gbagbo’s son Michel, a French-born dual national from a previous marriage, was also sentenced to five years in prison for his role in the violence. Once referred to by admirers and opponents alike as Ivory Coast’s “Iron Lady,” Simone Gbagbo has been on trial since January with 82 co-defendants accused of varying degrees of involvement in the deadly unrest. A key issue in her trial was whether she played a part in directing the death squads that ran amok in the weeks after the disputed vote. Prosecutors had asked for a lighter 10-year jail term for the 65-year-old Gbagbo. “Simone Gbagbo most certainly participated in the composition of armed gangs,” state prosecutor Simon Yabo Odi told the court Tuesday, adding “her men… participated in an insurrectional movement.” The previous day, the former first lady gave testimony for nearly four hours, confronting witnesses who said they’d seen her distributing arms to youths in Abidjan with flat denials. She told the court that she “forgives” her accusers, saying: “I have suffered humiliation on humiliation during this trial. But I am ready to forgive… because if we do not forgive, the country faces a crisis worse than what we experienced.” She also said she did not “know exactly what the concrete actions are that I am being accused of”, and insisted her husband had legitimately won the 2010 election.Prison400 Nearly 3,000 people were killed in months of post-election violence, which was halted by the intervention of international forces acting under a UN mandate and led by former colonial power France. The defeated regime allegedly used brutal militias to attack supporters of the declared winner of the poll, Ouattara, but some of his backers are equally accused of atrocities in violence that killed thousands. The Gbagbo couple were arrested in April 2011. The former first lady was taken into custody in the north of the west African country, where she testified she was “beaten with incredible violence”. The former president himself is in The Hague awaiting trial in July for crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court. Affi N’Guessan, the former head of the first couple’s political party, was sentenced to 18 months in jail for his role in the unrest, covered by the two years he has already served in detention. No one close to Ouattara has been investigated or prosecuted in connection with the violence. - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/former-ivory-coasts-first-ladysimone-gbagbo-sentenced-to-20-years-in-prison/?utm_source=&utm_medium=facebook#sthash.DaPZbZ4W.dpuf |
