Former Head of Military Ruler and Chieftain of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Major General Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Federal Government to stop the clampdown of Boko Haram insurgents, saying Niger Delta Militants were never killed or properties belonging to them destroyed. Buhari who spoke on Sunday on a Liberty Radio programme, Guest of the Week monitored said accused the government of killing and destroying houses belonging to Boko Haram members while the Niger Delta militants get special treatment. The former dictator said that unlike the special treatment given to the Niger Delta militants by the federal government, the Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished by government. While accusing President Jonathan of failing from the beginning to address the security situation in the country, Buhari said he has never been in support of the state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa state. According to Buhari “what is responsible for the security situation in the country is caused by the activities of Niger Delta militants. Every Nigerian that is familiar with what is happening knows this. The Niger Delta militants started it all. “What happened is that the governors of the Niger Delta region at that time wanted to win their elections. So they recruited the youths and gave them guns and bullets and used them against their opponents to win elections by force. “After the elections were over, they asked the boys to return the guns; the boys refused to return the guns. Because of that, the allowance that was being given to the youths by the governors during that time was stopped. “The youths resorted to kidnapping oil workers and were collecting dollars as ransom. Now a boy of 18 to 20 years was getting about 500 dollars in a week, why will he go to school and spend 20 years to study and then come back and get employed by government to be paid N100,000 a month, that is if he is lucky to get employment. “So kidnapping becomes very rampant in the South -South and the South -East. They kidnapped people and were collecting money. “How did Boko Haram start? We know that their leader, Mohammed Yusuf started his militant and the police couldn’t control them and the army was invited. He was arrested by soldiers and handed over to the police. “The appropriate thing to do, according to the law, was for the police to carry out investigations and charge him to court for prosecution, but they killed him, his in-law was killed, they went and demolished their houses. “Because of that, his supporters resorted to what they are doing today. You see in the case of the Niger Delta militants, the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua sent an aeroplane to bring them, he sat down with them and discussed with them, they were cajoled, and they were given money and granted amnesty. “They were trained in some skills and were given employment, but the ones in the north were being killed and their houses were being demolished. They are different issues, what brought this? It is injustice”. While fielding questions in English in the same programme, Buhari said that the promoters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) were aware of the challenges ahead of them in an effort to get the party registered, saying “the road to merger is quite rough. “The ruling party, with its enormous resources and its capacity for coercion has seen it as a threat and they have said it. Personally, I came to realise since 2007 that Nigerians believe that the only way to stabilise the system of multi-party democracy is for the opposition parties that have representatives right from Councillors to the National Assembly come together to deliver their constituencies democratically. This is the only way you can counter PDP’s enormous physical and material influence in the country” He expressed optimism that the All Progressive Congress will be registered saying “by nature, I am an optimist. If I were not an optimist, I will not attempt to contest the presidency three times and end up in the Supreme Court three times. I believe we are going to be registered. “There is a law guiding party registration which states that you must have your headquarters in the nation’s capital that can be identified by INEC and you must have a convention. All the three parties involved have held their conventions and have agreed to forsake our existing parties and go for APC. “At the national level, we must have those who will run the party. As soon as we meet these criteria and INEC acknowledge that, 30 days after the acknowledgement, we are APC whether INEC write us and give us the registration or not" Source: http://scannewsnigeria.com/news/down-memory-lane-stop-killing-boko-haram-members-buhari-tells-fg/ |

There is a propagandist video by the reporter in the picture below with Buhari's family in which she 'interviewed some youths protesting against Buhari' in front of Chatham House. The reporter did not mention her name nor the organization she represents - whether TV or print media. On investigation, it was discovered that she was a disgruntled sacked staff of NTA. She is a close ally of the Buharis. She was, from the beginning, part of the scam to arrange two groups of protesters at the Chatham House - a larger pro Buhari group, and a smaller pro GEJ group. It was part of the scam to say the smaller group was arranged by FFK, while the larger group was natural. She rehearsed very well with some of the protesters in the smaller 'FFK group' before coming to interview them openly in front of Chatham House. FFK did not organize any protesters. PDP is strictly focused on local campaign. Below is a picture of this fake reporter with Buhari's wife and daughter earlier on in the month. This woman no pitty her smally at all at all! Na so she strap am for belle come dey carry Oluwole General's banners! She no fit afford nanny o! Yet, she dey open her rotten trap to call people names! Now, see bursting again, by the one and only lady Viola Ifeyinwa Okolie ; "Nomnso, I knew it. Here is my observation of her: I was there, I saw her, even took pictures and videos of her as she went about her activities, cos something did not seem right with her. I walked up to her once or twice and she told me there were no problems. She refused to interview me and others. Those people there are plants. I re iterate that a lot of people I met and joined minds with on Facebook, I met them there on ground, outstanding professionals. I insist that APC knows what they did with these plants. We were there. Lots of us. They refused to interview us and when the press came, they swamped them, almost suffocating them, cutting us off from them'

Be the 'CHANGE' you want to see in the world... I got the above line from the closing scenes of 'Prisonbreak', Season 4. Yea, Prisonbreak, the beloved TV show that most of us cherished. Remember how Michael Scofield and Co. brought down 'The Company', the almighty organization responsible for Lincoln Burrow's frame-up and incarceration? But the subject of this post is not about Prisonbreak. It's about our dear country, Nigeria. How many times have we been confronted with a situation where we are denied our rights, and we just chicken out or decide to let it pass. I had another encounter with a petrol attendant who wanted to shortchange me, again. This time, when it got to my turn to buy petrol (after queuing for like 30 minutes), I asked for N1,500 worth of the stuff. The guy dispensed petrol worth N1,400 and switched off the pump. I challenged him as to why he didn't dispense the full volume of petrol, he didn't respond. Instead, he went on to attend to other customers. I asked him to turn it back, since he wasn't going to dispense the actual volume I bought. He went ahead and turned the product to another customer. Pathetically, some of the customers standing there asked me to just let the guy have the money, "That's how its done you know". I told them straight that I don't do what others do. What could I do now? I went to look for the manager of the station. I calmly reported the matter to the guy. After hearing me out, he summoned the guy in question, queried him to find out his own version of the story. To cut a long story short, the manager apologized to me, and told me to return to the queue, that the attendant was going to serve me right. I got back on queue, got my petrol and left, after spending roughly 1 hour plus. Why am I taking these pains to write this post? There is a dangerous trend among citizens of this nation, Nigeria. It's been a common saying that 'Nigerians don't know their rights'. That's true. The worst is that Nigerians refuse to enforce their rights. How is Nigeria going to change? How is corruption going to be reduced? What legacies are we leaving for our children? How are we actually going to enjoy a better society when we can't even enforce our rights? I find out that majority of the problems we have are actually solvable, if only people would put their foot down on injustice and corruption. Remember Rosa Parks? She staunchly refused to give up her seat during the racist era in America. Her action sparked off a movement, which produced the famous Martin Luther King Jnr. I believe in Nigeria, that's why I can't tolerate thievery, injustice and corruption in any form, and I urge you my fellow compatriots, do not be silent. Let your voice be heard. Speak out against injustice, corruption and all the vices in Nigeria. Let us save this nation, for God will not hold us guiltless if we fail to do what we should do. He would say, 'When you felt cheated, why didn't you report to the authorities'? Don't worry about what they may do behind the scenes, but just speak out, write a complaint, just do something to register your grievance. Be the change you want to see... PS: This post is not in any way in support of any political party. |

Buhari: How are you, gentleman. Ekwueme: Fine, thank you. What are you up to? Buhari: Nothing. So you are still in that party? Ekeueme: Yes, I am still in PDP. Any problem with that? Buhari: No, no problem at all. The only minor problem is that this time, you will not escape my wickedness. If I have my way, I will jail you for 501 years as punishment for being Member, Board of Trustee of PDP, a rival party. Ekwueme: Is it an offence to be a member of PDP? Buhari: In my own view, yes. That is simply corruption. Ekwueme: How do you mean, rtd. General without certificate? Buhari: If you are not with us then you are our enemy and all our enemies are corrupt. Ekwueme: So if I am with you in APC I will be your friend and I will not be corrupt. Buhari: Exactly. Abacha was my friend and as you can see he is not corrupt. Ekwueme: Are you serious? Even with all his millions of stolen loot they are returning to the federal government from all over the world? Buhari: I do not care whether they return billions of US$. Another example is Tinubu. He is in APC and that is why he is not corrupt. Ekwueme: Even Tinubu who stole Lagos dry is not corrupt? Do you know that Tinubu converted almost all Lagos state govt properties to his personal properties? Buhari: I do not care. As long as Tinubu is working with me, he is not corrupt. Ekwueme: I am learning a new meaning of corruption. Buhari: You better learn fast before it is too late. Please do the needful. Join us now before it is too late. You know what I did to you and your people last time. I can still do it. Do not dare me. Nigerians only want to hear that I am fighting corruption. They do not want to know how. Nigerians do not believe in due process, they believe in action whether negative or positive. Ekwueme: Really? Buhari: Yes. You can doubt me if you like. You will only find out when I start jailing you all for nothing. Nigerians do not care. They will be hailing me as long as those am jailing are not directly related to them. Ekwueme: That is not why am here anyway. I came to find out why you do not think you are too old to manage a country as massive as Nigeria? Moreover, you are sick. Buhari: I know am too old. But what do you expect in a society where the youths refuse to grow? If there are capable youths to take over from us, we would not be here. Isn't it? Ekwueme: Yes, yes. It is true. You are right. Our youths have no confidence in themselves. The boy in Italy, Matteo Renzi (PM) is 39 years. Slovakia's PM, Robert Fico is 45 years. David Cameron is 48 while Obama is just 53 and on his eight year as President of not just the USA but also the whole world. Buhari: You are very correct. Ekwueme: But our own fifty years and above old men and women are killing themselves saying that we are the only age grade that can change their society for them. Buhari: Everytime I hear that, I wonder what they mean by change. Is change not suppose to be for the younger ones to substitute us with themselves? Ekwueme: You are right. They are suppose to be changing their society from old to new. But instead, they are working towards changing from new to old. Buhari: In civilised countries, my mates are all enjoying their retirement because the younger ones have successfully taken over. But in Nigeria, the younger ones, lazy as they are and very pampered, say I can not go on retirement because only me, a 92-year-old grandpa, is able to put food on their table, provide them with fuel and kerosene, fight corruption on their behalf, e.t.c., in a country of about 180Million people of which the labour force should be approximately 80Million energetic young men. Ekwueme: Our boys and girls have refused to learn anything meaningful for the development of our society. Most of them spend 25 hours a day on facebook gossiping without shame. The men now gossip more than women. Buhari: When a group of men and women above 60 years of age lack absolute confidence in managing their society successfully, without our input, when comparatively, we started managing this same country as early as when we were just 20 years and a little above, then you know that our society is doomed. Ekwueme: This is critical. Buhari: No one should blame me. It is not my fault at all. I did not invite myself into APC. I did not nominate myself. I did not vote for myself at the primary election. Please blame our youths that want to die crawling. At forty our youths are still using feeding bottle. Ekwueme: This is a societal embarrassment. I hope they will not wake up one day and ask us to go to Olympics and Commonwealth games to win gold medals for them, since they have been trying without success. Buhari: My friend, that is another problem entirely. If they ask me to go to Olympics or Commowealth for them because they cannot win gold medals, Walahi, I will enter coffin alive and even bury myself. Enough is enough. The last thing I will do is to face Hussein Bolt on the track. God forbid. No one can disgrace me forever. Ekwueme: Who knows, they might want us to go to African Cup of Nation for them since Keshi and his boys could not even qualify. Buhari: When you have a situation where thirty years old adults are inviting a man old enough to be their great grandfather to come and lead them as president or in any leadership role, then the future is bleak. Ekwueme: What do we do about this? How do we solve this problem? Buhari: It is easy. After all, I am not hoping to win anyway. Tell your people to #StandWithJonathan and thus #VoteJonathan but please keep it a secret. Tinubu must not know about our discussion. Ekwueme: Ok. I will. I promise. You are truly the people's General. |

By Daud Olatunji ABEOKUTA—Men of Ogun State Police command, yesterday, allegedly rounded up five councillors out of the 100 local government councillors in the state allegedly planning to defect from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state. Councillors from Ijebu North East, Odogbolu LGAs The arrested five councillors were said to belong to the Ijebu North East Local Government Area and Odogbolu Local Government Areas of the state. Vanguard gathered that the arrested councillors were said to be on their way to the PDP secretariat, the venue of the defection in Atan, the headquarters of Ijebu North East Local Government Area when the bus they were travelling in was accosted by about eight armed policemen around Ogbogbo. Plots by councillors to defect A source told our correspondent that no fewer than 100 APC local government councillors across the state had concluded plans to defect to the opposition PDP in their various areas. They were also said to have already met the PDP leadership in the state and had concluded arrangements on when they would formally defect in each of the 20 local government areas of the state. The councillors allegedly arrested by the unidentified policemen include Hon. Dele Talabi (Ward 6), Rufus Onadega (Ward 2), Hon. Rosanwo (Ward 9), and Hon. Ajayi (Ward 5). The name of the fifth councillor said to be from Odogbolu Local Government could not be ascertained as the time of filing in this report. The chairman of Mobilization and Organization Committee of the PDP in the South West, Prince Buruji Kashamu who was planning to receive the defectors expressed shock over the incident. APC scribe denies alleged arrest claims But the state Publicity Secretary of the APC, Alhaji Sola Lawal said that the alleged arrest of the five councillors was not true. Lawal said: “That cannot be true. We are not aware of that; that is not to our knowledge.” The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi said that he was not aware of the arrest of the five APC councillors. We are not aware of the incident—Police Adejobi said the policemen that made the arrest were not from the Headquarters, saying, as far as the command in the state is concerned, he was not aware of the incident. He, however, urged the affected party to lodge their complaints at the command for them to commence an investigation. - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/01/ogun-police-arrest-5-apc-councillors-alleged-plot-defect/#sthash.S9lFIe0e.dpuf |
In a compelling sermon, Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Emmanuel Bosun warns Nigerian Christians of the spiritual consequences of voting against President Goodluck Jonathan in the upcoming 2015 general elections. Pastor Bosun who was a delegate representing Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) South West at the National Conference which held earlier this year, said Christians who were ready to vote for the All Progressives Congress in the 2015 elections were only subscribing to the Islamic agenda for Nigeria, and were digging the grave of Christianity in Nigeria. In the incredible sermon, the Pastor warns Nigerians of a similar occurrence that plagued Turkey happening to Nigeria if care was not taken. He also warned of Sharia being enshrined in the Federal constitution of Nigeria, and the APC being on a mission to find expression for the Islamic laws already enshrined in the constitution. To imagine this guy as our president is a nightmare. Nigerians should be careful with who they choose. They should have fielded someone else to run vs Goodluck Jonathan. The change I see that's coming is a change going anti-clockwise.. Beware |
Thank you boss, its just that I didn't want to have any Gobe with those immigration people.. Thank you anyways. If you have additional advise for me, it will be welcomed. Amefrica: You are allowed to go anywhere you so wish, just make sure you report to the school on the orientation day. |
Good Morning all.. My school resumes on the 6th of January.. My flight is on the 30th of December.. My school is in Oklahoma. Can I be allowed to stop by a family friend's place in New York while waiting for the school to fully resume? Besides, I could not find a direct flight to Oklahoma... |
VO's have noticed almost the same kinds of terminologies, be careful of the words you use. You can use synonyms instead. I was there when someone was bounced for cramming. Don't forget this is the internet and you can't tell the amount of people who use the same term as you. Bottom line, give it your own touch.. Tochium: Congrats |
Plenty oo. Undergrads . domex007: Congrats bro.. But honestly, how many schools did you apply to? And were you going in for undergraduate or masters?? Congrats once more. |
I said more to come later. Here is the transcript of how it went. I lodged some where around Obalende, I woke up the next morning and had a cab pick me up at around 5 am, the night before, I was shaking in fear but I just thought I should sleep on the fear.. I woke up differently at about 5 am and headed to the Embassy. Omo the kind of rigorous checks that was happening at the Embassy was like hell. After all the checks I went into the hall waiting on the queue to do my biometrics, after a while, I was called by the Chinese guy to do my biometrics. He did the biometrics for a while and the packed some of the passports he and just processed and started interviewing... He called the numbers serially (at that time, my mind skipped because I was focusing on him, he called and interviewed from numbers 100 to 112 and my number was 114, made up my mind that I was going to face him anyways because it was most likely that he would be the one to interview me.) The next thing I saw was that number 113 was now called to be interviewed on another window inside my mind I was like that you Jesus, meaning that I was going to be the next. After that window interviewed the girl then my number flashed on the screen, I quickly rushed down and here's how it went. Me: Good morning Sir, VO: No answer Vo: what are you going to do? Me: To study VO: What are you going to study? Me: Bla Bla bla VO: Where exactly? Me: bla bla state VO: What schools did you apply to Me; named the schools from different states. VO: Why did you choose this specific school? Me: It was recommended to me by someone who is known in the educational sector here in Nigeria. VO: Oh you mean like an educational consultant? Me: Yes. VO: Do you have the contact of the consultant? Me: NO VO: (brings out blue denial paper and gives it to me, at that time I wasn't shaky) Please write down the name of the educational consultant and the name of the of the consulting firm. Me: Wrote down what he wanted. VO: You finished your secondary school in 2005, why? Me: I was born in a non English speaking country and by the time I came back I had to adjust to the new language, it took me some time to do that. VO: when did you come back to Nigeria. Me: 1989 VO: Hand me the file you have, all the documents. Me: Hands them over VO: He flips through all my documents. VO: did you write any tests? Me: I have a waiver from my school but I still registered for TOEFL. (he kept flipping through my documents. I never registered or wrote TOEFL oo) VO: Who's paying for your trip? Me: My father. VO: What does he do? Me: He's a civil engineer and he also does contracts for the Rivers State government. Vo: What does you Mother do? Me: She's a Medical doctor. VO: (brings out my WAEC and looks at it closely though I attached my scratch card to my certificate) Me: Takes off my glasses so he sees me well without my glasses. VO: I see you're coming from far, you can either tell someone to pick up your visa for you at the address I have circled on this paper or you can come pick it up yourself. Me: (inside my mind) Thank you Jesus. Me: Thank you Sir. Ricky Rozay thank you again... But make una Thank baba God, na him do pass. |
Visa Granted... Miraculous... More to Follow |
Noted... But this is the advise I got from my admissions officer, just wanted to add that.. He might have been wrong but there's every need to share it anyways... imperiouxx: Check this Nairalander square65. The error on his I-20 was mistake on the calculation of fund (just few dollar short) on the I-20 and he didn't know until the interview. The VO stopped the interview and God made the VO to give him a paper that allowed him to bring back a correct I-20 (second chance). It was after then that his interview continues. |
Let me add something here.. I think the I-20 is a vital Document is right. If you call the school and ask them to change it on the SEVIS platform, the VO wont be able to see it. I think its an online thing and they might not even look at what is on your hard copy 1-20. My admission officer made an error on mine, he said if he corrected it on SEVIS platform that it would be visible to the VO, I still insisted that he sends the corrected copy. Once they're facing their computer, they won't see what's on the paper. And when the spot it, then you have a little explanation to make. You will be safer that way, tell them you couldn't get the corrected copy because the delivery wasn't going to be possible before your interview.. My advise, get your admissions officer on the phone and push for the correction that way, you stand a better chance. Gaskiya. Ricky Rozay: What are your plans regarding the correction of the Error on your i-20? |
