I really pity the situation GEJ find himself because in the strict sense, GEJ is not a bad person as alleged by many, he's just inept and lack charisma to lead.

I went to the closest collection centre to where i registered, was told I should go to where i registered, that they would come this past weekend but no one showed up. Guess i'll have to see what this final week holds. Too much confusion...*yuck*

The situation is very hazy my broda. Im one of the unfortunates caught it that web. Im gradually losing hope of voting in this elections. Iv tried every means but its brickwall all thru. One adhoc I kno told me in plain terms 2014 registrants have a great chance of experiencing a snowfall in their wards than gettin a PVC for this elections. Pathetic I dare say.....

necessary to share. Cannot tell for
certain the source of it but the content is
useful.
Read below:
The PVC and card reader are very important
tools for us all, whether you are for
CONTINUITY or CHANGE.
If you go through my earlier letters, I
emphasized on the fact that elections are
won and lost at the polling unit, specifically
at the point of accreditation.
In 2011, accreditation was simply done
queuing up, identifying your name from the
register of voters and then getting inked to
wait for election. Let me tell you how it was
abused.
Firstly, most electorates never bother to
know before the accreditation commences
the total number of registered voters for
that unit. It is like never knowing the
balance of your account before and after
withdrawal of cash.
Most of us go to the polling unit to just
vote. When you vote without knowing the
total registered voters or accreditation,
chances are after the voting, the unused
ballot papers will be thumb printed and
included right at the polling unit before
counting or on transit to the collation
centre.
I know you will say, how possible after the
counted votes are clearly written on FORM
EC 8A? Well, know that the form gets
swapped most times on the way to the
collation centre of course with the
‘cooperation’ of party agents. Don’t ask me
how and why.
The above swap could be done at any
juncture from the polling unit to the ward
collation centre or from the ward to the LG
HQ, or from the LG HQ to the state HQ, and
finally from the state HQ to the national
HQ. Each point has its form for inscribing
results but as you know, results could always
be changed if it’s done manually and paper
based.
2015, INEC took into consideration all the
above and imagined more and came up with
what I regard as the KOKO blow against
rigging. Enter the PVC and card reader, now
dubbed ‘the election sheriff’.
We all know that the PVC is a smart card
that has your biometric information, picture,
name, address and name of polling unit.
The PVC has certain features and benefits
that will deter another person from using
somebody else’s card.
The card reader is configured to be used in
one particular polling unit. It cannot be used
in two places. It also contained the complete
information of all registered voters of that
polling unit as on your PVC.
What the above means is that INEC has no
less than 120,000 units of the card reader
since we have 120,000 polling units in the
country.
The card reader has a battery with 14hours
life span and 3 SIM cards slotted, screwed
and cannot be altered by the polling officials.
No delete. No addition. No CHUWA-CHUWA!
Accreditation in 2015 election will be via the
PVC certified by the card reader. When you
insert your card, it will authenticate to be
sure it is an INEC card and whether the
owner of the card is the person bearing it.
The individual must put his thumb on the card
reader and it will bring out the individual’s
features. It simply means before you are
accredited, the PVC must be recognized by
the card reader, the information on the card
reader (already pre-stored) must match with
the PVC and your thumb print (physical)
must match with the biometric information
on the PVC and the card reader.
The moment the information as stated
above matches, the card reader will vocalize
its approval and subsequently synchronize
with the INEC server to create an on the
spot database of all accredited voters.
Note that voting with the TVC (temporary
voters card) is like photocopying and
laminating your ATM card with the intention
of withdrawing money from an ATM machine.
WAHALA DEY!
There may be issues with some voters
regarding the biometric matching of their
thumb prints and that of the PVC and card
reader, you explain it well to them when that
happens, they should just stand aside so
that the next person gets cleared. Note
that the time for accreditation is 8am-1pm
(remember the battery life is 14hours).
What is the implication of all above? In case
you are yet to decode.
If you don’t have a PVC, no accreditation. If
the PVC does not match the information on
the card reader, no accreditation. if your
thumb print fails to match the information
on the card reader and the PVC, no
accreditation.
If you go to a different polling unit, the card
reader will reject your PVC even if it is
genuine.
No accreditation, no voting.
So now, what are the possible attempts to
be made to beat the above FIREWALL? Trust
Nigerians, some will try for sure.
People that are yet to come to terms with
that, thinking that they will buy packs of
cards and use on polling day, are in for a rude
shock.
Before you steal my vote now, after
stealing or buying my PVC, you have to also
cut off my fingers to take to my polling unit.
Then you have to have the cooperation of all
the polling officials and party agents at my
polling unit.
In case you are thinking of ballot box
snatching or stuffing; that is where the
synchronization of the information on the
card reader and INEC server comes into play.
If you are accredited and due to some ‘funny’
reasons fail to cast your vote at the polling
unit and it is later realized that the polling
unit declares another result, forensic audit
can verify that the thumb prints on the
ballot papers do not match the thumb prints
used for accreditation as captured by the
card reader.
Talking of ballot papers, INEC also introduced
color coding. The states have different
colors for ballot papers, LGA within a state
also have different colors and all polling
units have a special code on their ballot
papers in synch with the code on the card
reader.
I have taken time to explain in detail
expecting you to tell all those around you so
that our people know what to expect on
Election Day. I believe knowing that will
reduce or eliminate Election Day
misunderstandings.
You should also guard the card reader so
that it doesn’t get stolen or destroyed as
that will completely render the votes of that
polling unit invalid.
And maybe, we should better start wearing
metal gloves to protect our fingers. It may
get to that.
In conclusion, it deem it necessary to include
snippet about objective voting sent out by
some Pastors.
‘’…vote your conscience. Don’t be
manipulated. If your Pastor says don’t vote
for a Muslim, ask him if Daniel served a
Saint, whether Modeccai did not serve King
Ahasseurus and if Joseph was not a Prime
Minister under Pharaoh. This election is not
about north versus south, nor is it about
Christian versus Muslim. It is about Nigeria
and good governance. Don’t allow politicians
to divide us. When they share money, they
don’t talk about religion. When they want
donation from ALIKO DANGOTE, they don’t
remember he is a Muslim. When they enter an
aircraft, they don’t ask the religious faith of
the pilot…..they and their wives go to Dubai
to spend money. Dubai is in the United Arab
Emirate but they have no problem buying
houses there. But when it comes to politics
back home, they say their opponents want
to Islamize you….Vote for your conscience.
If you want to vote for JONATHAN, vote
for him based on your conviction that he has
performed in your estimation and not
because he’s a Christian. If you want to
vote for BUHARI, vote for him because you
feel disenchanted with the Jonathan
government, not because he is a Muslim. Say
no to bigotry. God bless Nigeria…”
