Theres still a lot of deep-seated misconceptions & bigotry out there. Obviously more work needs to be done but clearly more people are so fed up of the ineptitude of this government. Jorussia: I have been able to convince some people in my vicinity here in Benin city. five of my family members and about five of my friends will vote for buhari. some group of persons here feel that if GMB wins boko haram will takeover Edo state, i have been telling them that's not true, but they insist on voting GEJ,i am not too bothered about such group because they are in minority. The governor has been campaigning VIGOROUSLY for GMB,that will also help.Certainly,GMB will get at least 70% as against the gov's target of 80%.IN EDO STATE. |

I don campaign taya. To the glory of God/ Allah, i've got converts, but some no easy sha o..... Sai B...... donphilopus: What Buhari Supporters on Nairaland should be doing now is now is to go to the grassroot and mobilise people for Buhari. Just like so many people who would like to vote Buhari (not APC), there are so many people (aged) who would like to vote PDP for the NASS Polls. If those people are not enlightened before FeBuhari 14th, they may vote PDP in all polls, ie, House of Reps, Senate and Presidency.
Most of those aged people are illiterates (sorry to say), and if they vote PDP for Senate without maximum enlightenment, they may still vote PDP for Reps and Presidency (not their wish). But because they ain't enlightened before then. Pls, if you're chanced, ensure that you that. |

Let Buharists hit this thread talk about him in whatever glowing terms. As a footnote, talk about things you expect from his government, what he'll likely do and those he'll not do. Dealslip your mouthed joor. Hope the dumbos beatin the drums of war got your sagacious gist on ther crosswires. Those who hav ears & brain, let them hear & wise-up..... dealslip: All I know us that we Nigerians should stop whipping up sentiments on behalf of our preferred candidate. If violence should erupt after this coming election. They will simple up into their private jets to stronghold they have prepared for themselves, their family and generations unborn while they leave us to tear ourselves up having successfully divided us along religious and ethnic lines. While we are at each others in throat, they will be negotiating with the foreign powers on how to share our resources. Even the militants have private jets to get them out of this country. Our voting power doesn't end at the polls. It should first be activated in our private lives as well by first separating ourselves from their mudslinging which is their ploy to distract us while serious negotiations are going on behind back doors. Various media outlets is being used to manipulate us into thinking we decide what goes on in Nigeria. The forthcoming election is just a struggle between the old cabal and an emerging one. This people have no respect us, see the way they throw recharge cards, noodles, rice and T shirt at us as if that is our immediate need. Litter the whole streets with their election posters. people decide to vote not because they see photo shopped posters but by the work such politicians have done. Don't be used, we are not ignorant of the devices of the enemies.
we as citizens should equally shun corruption; from helping to manipulate figures to rejecting bribe to rejecting gifts from politicians. politicians are not successful in their corruption because they are smart but because we support them through our complacency, ineptitude, selfishness, favouritsm, indiscipline and sometimes laziness. We are the root of corruption, if we can stamp it out of our lives, politics will stop been interesting to them. I believe it is possible to stamp it out but it first starts with me then you. They are not our salvation we are, they are not our messiah we are. Let each man instruct himself first and his household then the change will come, the tribalism and religious sentiments we display was inherited from past generations, let our children inherit love, hard work, respect and integrity from us. It is possible to change Nigeria. |

He's into your friend mate, forget every other postulations coming up here other than that. This should serve a caustic lesson to other sistas in the habit of freeloading on guys on a date. Solution? You either summon the nerve to giv the dude a piece of your mind for disrespecting you, cos thats exactly what it comes down to, or just freaking release the digits & sulk endlessly at the prospects or reality of your bestie cruising off with your potential partner/ spouse. Sometimes we need to learn the harshest way..... Even by the Islamic State's barbaric standards, the terror group's latest execution video has reached a truly depraved new low. The footage appears to show Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh being burnt alive in scenes that are far too shocking to even consider publishing. As with previous beheading videos featuring British executioner Jihadi John, the 20-minute-long clip is characterised by its slick production values and graphics. In swift reaction, Jordan announces execution of six ISIS prisoners 'within hours' in retaliation after terrorists release lavish video of Jordanian pilot being TORCHED to death in a cage in yet another new low for humanity
