"Tales of Jideofor" is a young-adult historical fiction based on real places and facts of the transatlantic slave trade, at its zenith in the 18th century. It follows the life of Jideofor; a curious and brilliant teenager from Illah in present-day Western Igbo lands, to the slave factories in Ibani Island (now Bonny Island), down to Jamaica. It is a tale of dreams, destiny, death, love and reincarnation. The novel blurs the lines between fact and fiction, by mixing history with mystery. It opens a real window into life in ancient Igbo society, and the travails and evils of the transatlantic slave trade.

Farastein Mokwenye, an indigene of Illah, is the author of this literary masterpiece. The work debuts under the commission of Tamarind Hill Press (@press_hill) in the United Kingdom on July 26th. The novel is the first of a three-part series that delves into esoteric subject matters such as death, the afterlife, spirituality, destiny and fate.

For the next 14 days, Farastein (farastein_eiheez) would release never before seen excerpts and illustrations from the book; to give would-be readers a taste of what to expect on July 26th.

I observed that the woman for whatever reasons always play the underdog in marriage. She is often regarded as a 'helper' playing almost a docile role in decision-making in the home.

Most people use religious precepts to relegate the rights of a woman to the background: as being the house-keeper and 'child-bearer'. But in modern times, many women play the role of 'provider' in the home, therefore forcing the man to also assist with household chores.

In modern times, Even in civilised climes, women now seek to either being independent parents or share same authority as the man in the home. But where the man does not feel comfortably with this, the result is divorce. I want to assume that this is the major cause of domestic violence in majority of homes.

Most women feel more comfortable being single parents than to submit to the egocentric excesses of the male folk.

What is your stand on this issue. I personally speak as a male.

Good question,

1. Before you get marry to any woman do your due diligence, check the background of woman, her mother in particular.

2. Also let the elders within your kinsmen do their own background check too.

3. When it comes to marriage, we have to be realistic to ourselves, don't marry a woman because she's educated, she's a carrier woman, she has good job, she's beautiful, don't marry a woman that will disturb your peace, don't marry that will be dictating and controlling your life... ( for me personally I'll not accept this from any woman)

4. Marry the humble woman, that's real and not fake..... Be honest to your self......

5. When you see the best woman to be your wife, you'll definitely know.
