Three different movies about a single comic character, different concepts.
Batman movies always follow same patterns. Give the story to people who can come up new ideas on how to show other unexplored sides to the character instead of the usual repetitive hogwash we have always been served..... Infact I don't know when the next batman movie will be released but I can tell you how it is going to look like.. Same as usual.
I disagree
The Batman brought something fresh to the table.
You can compare it to Dark Knight all you want.
But never has there been a Batman film where he is a detective first and foremost.
A movie where Gotham and the villain makes him question his own psychology...
Baddestguyp: So I'm almost midway in season 4 of The Last Kingdom
So far it's been a very enjoyable watch...my major complaints here is the plot convenience...it's way too much especially in these recent seasons that it's getting on my nerve
The so called Danes are portrayed as a bunch of idiots, they don't even seem terrifying at all anymore like they did in the first season...they can't even win a single battle... All they do is fall for obvious and cheap tricks...I wonder how they keep following commanders who are so incompetent and stupid...who seem to make the worst decisions and fall for the most obvious traps... The one I can't forgive is the one in season 2 or so that chose to betray his brother, all his people, abandon an entire country's worth of wealth just cos of a woman he met for a few weeks The girl who claimed she was also in love with him literally forgot him few minutes after his death...wow
The series is really interesting but the decision making is becoming worse by the episode...
There's not a single Dane that is smarter than Uthred in this show
Baddestguyp: that's how Gotham City has always been... As if there are laws against light bulbs... The Batman is not the first movie to show Gotham this way...it's cos Batman operates in the dark...and the surroundings must reflect that...
Zack Snyder has blood on his hands for casting Ezra Miller as Flash
He is not only destroying his career, he is destroying an expensive movie that's yet to release with negative PR, Ezra is going down and he's taking WB down with him.
I feel sorry for Andy Muschetti and all the production crew. They shouldn't have their hard work tainted by the star of the movie.
The big question now...Is Ezra Miller going to clean himself up just in time before WB starts marketing The Flash?
Or is he going to be in rehab or worse...prison when his fellow cast members are busy with press tours next year?
One thing is guaranteed.
WB is never going to work with him ever again. I bet they can't wait to see the back of him.
IngeniousLeez: I don't really like this casting. Even if they wanted to use a black British actor, they shouda used a mixed race dude. In the likes of Riz Ahmed or Rege Jean Page.
This one will just cause major noise about race. You know how DC fans can be petty.
I wanted Rege Jean Page...the guy is a very talented actor and would easily fit the role.
I was expecting a mixed race person not a 100% black dude.
abduleez1: Sure I know that. It's hitting $800mn without China's help. I'm only bothered about the billion dollar gross. The movie is sure to gross $400mn domestic which would surpass all DCEU movies except WW. If China can deliver $200mn then we achieved the goal.
You know peeps are waiting to spin it as a failure if it doesn't hit $1bn.
Barrywhyte1: This guy looks like joker without make-up
I don't want Joker as a big villain in Reeves Batverse but I'm fine with him getting a nod just so we know he exist
Matt Reeves doesn't seem to be planning anything with Joker
When asked about a sequel, he teased Hush and Mr Freeze...Pattinson wants Court of Owls and Robin
I think the Joker tease was because even though The Batman is a standalone film everybody knows it will grow into a trilogy because Batman is a money spinner....so Matt Reeves put Joker there cuz he didn't have concrete plans for a sequel they haven't even announced yet
No wonder e be like dream. 4 DC movies in a year excluding the HBOMax spinoffs. Anyhow sha, it's still 3 DC movies since Batgirl still debuts late this year.
BlackManta: I think this is just a business decision....a smart one
Y'all know The Flash and Aquaman had strong competition with Black Panther and Avatar 2 respectively...
No way Aquaman was gonna get anywhere near $800m to $1b with Avatar in the way....after the success of the first movie WB no fit play risky games with the sequel so I understand the move..... December to March is not too far if we're being honest...
But then why did Shazam move forward to December
I'm still confused
They should have kept it for 2023.
I'm totally fine 2-3 DC films this year so long as they are good movies.
How much will Shazam make before Avatar 2 cuts the wind off its sails cuz it definitely will
Why does Shazam have to release at the wrong time again. Remember how the first movie was shoehorned between Captain Marvel and Endgame
