I heard the Invincible finale has a great fight and good animation...

Can't wait to watch it possibly tonight...

Spoilers all over my Twitter
Invincible season 3 episode 6-8 is the best this show has ever been since season 1.

I'm glad I didn't give up on this show after an average season 2.

If you believe rating by tomatoes shows how good a movie is... you are on a long thing
Should I bring up Metacritic, imDb and Cinemascore as well?

James Gunn's movies are always well received by movie goers and critics. That's my point.

Show me one James Gunn movie that is below average and terrible.

I actually told a clown here on this thread long time ago that "Superman is not your regular characters that anything can easily be over looked" I remembered vividly too that I told same clown Superman movie is like one of the hardest, if not the hardest movie to pull, but the sissy thought I was only trying hard to be a hater and a Snyder boy. I guess now he can easily see how distorting and difficult to make a common decent movie for Superman.
The same Gunn who hates reshoots and had boasted of not doing reshoot in any of his movie is now eating is word (even if it's taste bitter) by doing a reshoot on his Superman grin cheesy
I'm not even looking at the terrible test screening here, I just want a clown here to know that making a bunch of GotG movies are never the same as making a Superman movie. The expectations are far apart, boy!

Imagine believing that the man who has never made a bad comic book movie in his life is somehow going to produce a TERRIBLE Superman movie grin

It's more realistic and reasonable to expect a James Gunn Superman that isn't groundbreaking, masterful or super great but is at least very good.

Expecting James Gunn Superman to be terrible is by far the most delusional take I have heard of.

Unlike Zack Snyder, all of Gunn's movies are well received by the general audience and critics.

I watched The Batman again.

The only Batman movie better than Reeve's movie is The Dark Knight.

This is still the best Batman movie that is centered around Batman himself. Probably the only one that pulled it off to near perfection.

I see why people say Matt Reeves is a slow writer. But his writing is excellent and I have confidence that the story in part 2 will be as good if not better.

Also, this movie is nearly 3 hours long but I didn't feel the long runtime at all. The pacing is top notch.

I can't wait for the sequel.

October 2027 is too far. They are going into production at the end of the year according to Pattinson so it should be released early 2027 I hope.

Red hulk has Ross’ intellect so yes, he can be reasoned with when the story calls for that
The ending is anti-climactic.

Everything in the movie was building up to that Red Hulk battle. Which they already revealed in the trailers and marketing.

There's no suprise or twist to look forward to in this political thriller. They used the only one they had for marketing.

If you remove Red Hulk from the movie there's not much left. The build up to the third act was boring and poorly written.

As for the final battle, it lasted only 6 minutes.

It's crazy when you realize that Marvel has actually done an excellent political thriller before in CA:Winter Soldier.

They have a blueprint already.

Why did they mess this up so much?

The laughable things I heard about this movie ehn.

They said he beat Red Hulk by just talking to him. (This isn't who you are, let me help you type of speech)

After all the gbas gbos, he used the power of love and friendship to get a freaking Hulk to calm down and revert back to normal.

"Captain America: A Brave New World" (2025)

"You're not Steve Rogers, Sam-

President Thaddeus Ross".

This movie exists (or not) inside of two bubbles. On one bubble, is the die hard MCU fans, who still hasn't believed, the universe tanked post 2019, and are ready to lap up, just about anything Kevin Fiege comes up with these days, whilst holding to the deluded hope that the glory days of the MCU will return. While the other bubble, comprises of those who has the famed "CBM fatigue", these lot will find absolutely no joy in this movie, it will only increase your fatigue, so it's best you stay away.

That being said, There wasn't much of a story here to even give a proper plot summary but i will try. President Thaddeus Ross engages Sam Wilson to create the new avengers, then Adamantium something something...and that was the end.😭.

Cons.
This felt like an "Incredible Hulk" Sequel rather than a Captain America film. This movie didn't care for Sam Wilson at all nor the previous sequel, and to think this was a follow up to that, considering how good that was, the script of this was utter gob shite.

A CBM is only as good as it's villain, When you think of "TDK" you'd think of The Joker, when you think of "Infinity War", you'd think of Thanos.

This movie had no clear direction who the villain should be, and they 2 really good potential (or so i thought). Giancarlo Esposito has been Hollywood's leading villain material in recent times, and you'd hardly noticed he was in this, it felt like an afterthought (which it was in hindsight) with all the production issues this faced, my second choice for main villain would have been the Red Hulk, they even plastered his prop in all the promotional materials, but again he was just in one scene, albeit the only really good scene in the entire thing, they should have built on this character more.

The Casting was hell, particularly that of Shira Haas from "Unorthodox", she is a full blown woman, but she has this teenager small stature build. She's a good actress but the casting crew wanted me to believe she was the Chief Security Advisor to the POTUS? 😭. Her scenes where she needed to act tough made me feel like i was seeing "Spy Kids" 😭.

Maann, the messy production this had showed, after so many reshoots, this final cut is atrocious, looked like a straight to dvd flick, no single ambience of a blockbuster

Pros...
Sam Wilson/ Captain America's suit was so clean, the wings/shield and the sequence was pristine...deserves to be in a better movie tbh.

Yet again, MCU continues to show, it has no clear direction yet, they are just winging it at the moment, just hoping something sticks and draw objective fans back, and not just the few that are still left because been a MCU fanboy somehow blinds them from the garb they bring out every now and then...

If you are said objective fan, this movie won't change your mind, it might make you resent the MCU even more.......

4/10
@the emboldened

This reminds me of the old DCEU.

SOZINN:
Nanotechnology represents a revolutionary technological advancement that extends beyond Tony Stark's sole utilization. I think T'Challa was among the first to adopt it. The application of nanotech not only saved Spider-Man's life in space but also introduced new functionalities to his suit. While Tobey's Spider-Man fought with Doc Ock throughout the movie, the rapid integration of nanotechnology into Doc's core system granted Tom's Spider-Man command over the mechanical arms. Shuri provided insight into her motivation for recommending the upgrade to T'Challa.

In contrast, characters like Thor and Loki rely on magic for swift suiting up. Dr. Strange also demonstrated the use of magic in the same manner in the second installment, everyone's looking for speed. Steve Rogers is a super soldier, Sam Wilson needs to suit up as fast as possible if there's any danger. Embracing nanotechnology across all characters could enhance their capabilities and equip them better for confronting villains. Those who miss pushing buttons and relying on 20MB of data over a weekend have not ditched their smartphones.
In summary every character should be using nanotech. Even the ones without access to such advanced technology. I won't be surprised to find a street level hero like Daredevil using nanotech then.

I'm glad it's just MCU.

If Superman stopped ripping his shirt off and the red and blue suit just appeared out of nowhere, I'm gonna be sick for days.

SOZINN:
If you have a strong desire to revisit those movies, I suggest you do so without delay and refrain from clowning. Even a toddler would understand why many superheroes are inclined towards utilizing nanotechnology. The advantages are numerous, whether it be the time efficiency in suiting up, transforming minutes into mere seconds, or the enhanced features that nanotechnology enables within the suit. As always you don't have anything meaningful to say.
Nanotech isn't the problem.

It's the overuse of nanotech that's the problem. It made sense when Iron Man was the only using it.

But now Spiderman has nanotech, Black Panther has it, Ant-Man has it, Thor of all people uses nanotech helmet and now Captain America has it too.

You say nanotech makes for time efficiency in suiting up, please show me where Chris Evans Captain America used nanotech or where he lost a fight because he didn't suit up fast enough.

Explain why Thor of all people has a nanotech helmet. What the hell does he need it forhuh

Sometimes it's not just the helmet that is nanotech, I have seen where they made the entire suit nanotech.

At this point, just give nanotech to every character.

Nothing beats Spiderman taking off his mask or Superman ripping his shirt off revealing the his iconic suit or Batman taking off his mask.

Nanotech will never top that.

I didn't feel a thing...

For some reason I feel like I've grown past such type of generic team-up/supe movies
It looks like a fun popcorn movie with a lot of action.

But the colour grading is super ugly. Everything looks grey and darkish brown.

I miss when MCU characters dressed up like soldiers in practical costumes. Now everybody uses nanotech even for basic things like helmets.

This might be an unpopular opinion.

Am I the only one that believes the 2005 Thing looks better than the new one?

The old version is a complete practical suit, no CGI.

The CGI on the new one looks rough and unfinished and his voice doesn't sound like it's coming out of his body.

I don't get the hype around Fantastic Four.

My first introduction to this group was the 2005 movie and nothing about them felt remarkable to me. I can't remember anything from those movies, it was average and forgettable.

I watched Spiderman 1 and 2 for the first time around that same period and I instantly became a fan.

There was a 2015 movie that I have not seen to this day.

I think people find this one interesting because it's a new MCU team. Eternals got plenty of hype too when the trailer came out. I don't think anybody remembers the previous F4 movies.

Jurassic World Rebirth is the clear winner of July box office.

Most of the July movie tickets will be going to the Dinosaurs first, it is a guaranteed billion dollar movie.

Superman and F4 will compete for whatever's left

It doesn't help that both Superman and F4 have similar vibes. Hence this is not another Barbernheimer situation.

One of them is bound to underperform.

I'm just glad Superman is coming out first with a 2 weeks headstart.

Lol, I highly doubt that. Especially with that WB's Krypto the Superdog 'Puppy Bowl' marketing.

F4 ultimately looks like a $650mn+ pic, best case scenario for me. While SUPERMAN definitely exceeds that financial range.
I expect Marvel to insert Robert Downey Jnr. Dr Doom cameo in this movie.

They simply can't resist the urge to employ the never-failing nostalgia bait.

On this day 2 years ago James Gunn announced the DCU slate

Here's an update on how things are going so far.

- First Superman movie since 2013 is due to release in 6 months time. Written and directed by James Gunn himself.

- Creature Commandos is done with season 1 and is already renewed for season 2.

- A Green Lantern series is in production and is about to start filming. From the director behind Netflix hit series Ozark and writer Damon Lindelof who produced the critically acclaimed HBO series Watchmen.

- A Supergirl movie is currently being filmed.

- A Clayface movie is in development. Written by famous horror director Mike Flanagan. Scheduled to release next year.

- Peacemaker S2 currently in post production. Written by James Gunn.

- Dynamic Duo is currently in development. An animted movie focused Dick Grayson and Jason Todd. To release in 2028. The script is ready.

This is all the projects that is making headway right now.

I left out rumored projects and projects without a complete script.

Say what you want about James Gunn.

The man is a machine.

Haters want MOS 2 not a new Superman movie. They only care about Snyder and Cavill. They don't really care for the character of Superman.

So they get pissed because James Gunn Superman doesn't look like MOS at all.

The day James Gunn tries to copy Snyder is the day I will loose all my respect for him.

Be yourself, do your thing and stamp your own vision on your projects.

Let the haters keep nitpicking and looking for something to whine about.

The day of the Jackal

7.5/10

The actress that played Bianca either can't portray characters with different sides to them (I have only seen her in Marvel movies) or it was intentional by the script writers. She takes me out in most of her scenes with her blank face.
She was Daniel Craig's co-star in No Time to Die.

She was in the The Woman King as well.

I thought she was great in those movies.
