Jones4190:
A WISE MAN ONCE SAID

1. Don’t call someone more than twice continuously. If they don’t pick up your call, presume they have something important to attend to;

2. Return money that you have borrowed even before the person that borrowed you remember or ask for it. It shows your integrity and character. Same goes with umbrellas, pens and lunch boxes.

3. Never order the expensive dish on the menu when someone is giving you a lunch/dinner.

4. Don’t ask awkward questions like ‘Oh so you aren’t married yet?’ Or ‘Don’t you have kids’ or ‘Why didn’t you buy a house?’ Or why don't you buy a car? For God’s sake it isn’t your problem;

5. Always open the door for the person coming behind you. It doesn’t matter if it is a guy or a girl, senior or junior. You don’t grow small by treating someone well in public;

6. If you take a taxi with a friend and he/she pays now, try paying next time;

7. Respect different shades of opinions. Remember what's 6 to you will appear 9 to someone facing you. Besides, second opinion is good for an alternative;

8. Never interrupt people talking. Allow them to pour it out. As they say, hear them all and filter them all;

9. If you tease someone, and they don’t seem to enjoy it, stop it and never do it again. It encourages one to do more and it shows how appreciative you're;

10. Say “thank you” when someone is helping you.

11. Praise publicly. Criticize privately;

12. There’s almost never a reason to comment on someone’s weight. Just say, “You look fantastic.” If they want to talk about losing weight, they will;

13. When someone shows you a photo on their phone, don’t swipe left or right. You never know what’s next;

14. If a colleague tells you they have a doctors' appointment, don’t ask what it’s for, just say "I hope you’re okay". Don’t put them in the uncomfortable position of having to tell you their personal illness. If they want you to know, they'll do so without your inquisitiveness;

15. Treat the cleaner with the same respect as the CEO. Nobody is impressed at how rude you can treat someone below you but people will notice if you treat them with respect;

16. If a person is speaking directly to you, staring at your phone is rude;

17. Never give advice until you’re asked;

18. When meeting someone after a long time, unless they want to talk about it, don’t ask them their age and salary;

19. Mind your business unless anything involves you directly - just stay out of it;

20. Remove your sunglasses if you are talking to anyone in the street. It is a sign of respect. Moreso, eye contact is as important as your speech; and

21. Never talk about your riches in the midst of the poor. Similarly, don't talk about your children in the midst of the barren.

22.After reading a good message try to say "Thanks for the message".

APPRECIATION remains the easiest way of getting what you don't have....

Did you read that they generate nothing or that they generate less than they get? Most states will generate more if they depend less on federal allocations, they will be more creative in providing avenues for income generation else they will become bankrupt.
And u think the governor cares if the state is bankrupthuh smh. As far his pocket is enriched he wont bother as usual.
Dont work with fantasies o. Governors are not accountable to no one.

Airpeace has acquired land for his airport hotel and MOR facility.

Let's see how we won't generate enough resources from our gas that will supply AKK pipeline down to Europe. Resource control is coming and you northerners will suffer .

Stop denying your origin. Be proud of who you are . There is nothing to be scared of with regards to resource control. Thank God our southern governors have woken up. The onslaught just started .

Imo contributes very little, so also other eastern States, but why are they not crying? Why is the viable north the only ones crying and kicking?
Actually north is not crying. Yall are just manufacturing your own delusion. Adamawa is already implementing the VAT judgment!

If this trend is sustained, aspirations to become governors will no longer belong to people who only come to chop and fatten their tummies. Creative people, intelligent people, people with economic and development sagacity will throw their hats in the ring and the development we think will be endangered will be achieved. Every state in Nigeria has the potential to become an economic wonder. But when every month, all the Chief Executives do is queue up to pick their monthly allowee from the centre, why would they become creative to generate the needed funds for their development and growth? This happening is good for Nigeria and stirs us in the right direction which is restructuring of this lop-sided union.
It's like u aren't even thinking at all. On the contrary all thieves and looters will fight to be governor, since they now control all the assets of the state. People will suffer immensely because even the state houses of assembly are in governor's pocket. Who will question the governor??

you are a big joker, northern state got more than they generate stop deceiving yourself, more than 12 state in the north generate below 50b ,the only state that generate below 50b in the south is ebonyi state, maybe you need to go back again. This policy should be implemented.
50bn is not even enough to pay salaries let alone construct roads, markets etc. No state except Lagos and ogun can function without FGN intervention.

Also it's not a policy, it's a judgment. Judgment that is already on appeal.

But if I'm buhari I will allow states collect. But all the judges will have no salary till fgn completes the appeal process. Since they are also a beneficiary of the VAT. Let the state govt pay them from the collection

Simple, allow all states or regions be in charge of their income and expenses and nobody will talk about secession again.
I agree

But it's not that easy. FGN has to deal with a huge chunk of the expenses. Defense alone is enough to swallow up VAT.

Are you telling me that Oyo, Osun, Imo, Enugu, and Abia do not generate anything? Then let it be so. By the time the feeding bottle is taking away from them, they will be forced to generate something for their own needs.
You are talking as if the state is not a living entity. It's u that is in the state. It's u that will still suffer it when there is no federal intervention. But then again maybe that's what we really need to wake up.

state government is corrupt or not, let them manage their resources, if the people know that the local government and the state is solely responsible for their taxes and resources, they will deal with them, instead of Abuja being in charge. This your complain makes no sense because this are the kind of excuses FG gives in other to keep stealing from the people.
Stealing from people how?? FG only get 15% but is tasked with 90% of development. Ask your state govt what they did with all d money they got from FGN. The figures are there

Smh. Pls face reality. Figures don't lie. Politicians can tell u anything just to sway u one way or the other. Apart from oil companies in rivers, what else is generating vat?? And how many companies are their compared to the size of the state. The truth is in front of ur nose

This culture of monkey dey work baboon dey chop will soon be over. Why would a state like Lagos State generate N41 billion and be given N14 billion from it? How can such a paltry amount meet the development needs of the state? Same for Rivers; they generate N15 billion and end up with N4 billion. It is high time this injustice was thrown into the Atlantic ocean. You don't want people to secede because it is extinction. You don't want to restructure. You don't want to practise fiscal federalism. You don't want to stop open grazing. You ban alcoholic drinks from the south in Kano by your religious police, yet you keep pouting one Nigeria uppandan when there is injustice and lack of accountability everywhere. Buhari is hastening Nigeria's dismemberment and anyone who thinks otherwise is playing with self-delusion.

The south is the resource base of Nigeria but it has remained chained by the North. The time to break free or renegotiate this fake, one-sided, lop-sided, north-centric and Fulani-dominated union is now!
Is Lagos the only state in the south? What of Oyo, osun, imo, enugu, abia etc. What did they generatehuh You guys always reason everything based on tribalism. There are only 5syates actually contributing to vat. 2 of them are in the north.
