3idiots: In my opinion, they they are not doing enough, if I have the platform that Adeboye has, Buhari will go to bed everyday thinking about the last thing I said. The only celebrities I follow on social media, download there songs etc. are only those that speak for the people. It may not reduce there bank balance, but it sure means something to me.
You have been insulting him since 2014. Na u go tire. I love buhari he doesn't give two fs about rubbish
onumadu: Kanu’s trial on the 26th of July exposed a few things that positively shocked me and should make every Igbo proud.
(1) There was lock-down of markets and businesses in Igboland and in places outside Igboland with considerable Igbo presence. I was shocked when someone in Lagos told me that they were not going to the market in solidarity with Kanu. When I put a call to the East, the same thing was happening, only more seriously. Even an APC chieftain told me that they were all staying at home in solidarity. The unity exhibited by Igbo in support of Kanu, in this trial, really shocked me!
(2) I was shocked by the number and caliber of Igbo lawyers that went to the court. Most them were BOLD AND FEARLESS and they came from different Igbo groups. The sheer number and caliber of lawyers that I saw in that court premises dwarfs the number of lawyers that are usually available -for one court case - in many independent countries of the world, certainly more than you would find in a typical African country. This showed that Igbo nation, AS IS, is a formidable one.
(3) There was almost a unanimous rally of Igbo political emotion and solidarity with Kanu. On that day, the Igbo seemed to realize, and express the feeling, that Kanu’s trial is the trial of the Igbo nation. There was no significant Igbo voice of dissension or discord on Kanu. There was a unanimous feeling of solidarity with Kanu, and this shocked me! I suspect that this feeling will grow stronger now that Kanu wasn’t even presented in court on that date.
(4) I must mention that non-Igbo showed up in solidarity as well, the most prominent of which was Omoyele Sowore. Another example was a man from Akwa Ibom (he was interviewed) and his total solidarity and boldness made me feel that non-Igbo Biafrans, though not as vociferous as Igbo , are perhaps as stoic in their solidarity, and it would be a mistake to assume that only Igbo support Nnamdi Kanu.
Overall, the Igbo nation showed that when things get serious, they can unite as one, and this can be summarized in what Barrister Goddy Uwazurike (the lawyer that represented Ohanaeze Ndigbo) said when interviewed. He said (paraphrasing ) that when you see a mad man going about his business, it would be a mistake to maltreat him, because it is when something bad happens to the mad man that his relations will come out to hold you to account (by implication).

Nonsense. Una go tire. If u like shut down your oxygen. Trial continues
JohnFGbegile: has killing of Benue youths stopped?
sometimes I think Benue people are the architecture of their death in the hands of fulani herdsmen.
they're killing you guys yet instead of blaming the cause of the problem which is buhari you're blaming Ortom. yes Ortom might have not been doing good but is he the person killing Benue people almost on daily basis?
Honestly I won't say you guys deserve fulani herdsmen but sometimes try to think
Buhari in abuja is now the one responsible for killing in benue So what is now tolge job of the governor?? Smh mtscheeeew
gozzy1988: Perhaps it's either you are not in Nigeria or you are oblivious of what is happening within the polity. You may one to say one or two thing about the hate speech bill been bandied about by agents of this administration. Or a number activists who have been kidnapped or made to go on exile simply because they were critical of this administration. Dadiata and one SSA to Kano state Govnor are still fresh in our memory.
Buhari didn't kidnap anybody. Your long epistle is quite meaningless. SSA to Kano cannot abuse party leaders and not expect punishment. Nothing special there!
gozzy1988: In a democracy where the president has made silencing dissenting voices a national agenda, Speaking truth to power has become a legacy project of which Ortom is doing very well. You can as well deal with that.
Really? You guys have been insulting buhari since day 1, so how did he silence you Smh
uBuNiT: Just as Igbo politicians cant decide for us, so politicians from coastal region of Biafra can't decide for Biafrans over there. Edwin, dustbin is your potion
Biafra is dead and in the dustbin. South south doesn't waste time with rubbish
Sharpsecret01: i have two questions to ask u...one is do we have igbos in your so called south south?....two is which tribe is the largest in south south?
We are not joining any useless Biafra. Period. Igbos are on their own. Nigeria will thrive!
Christiansen: IPOBS claim they hate Nigeria and that lord lugard forced them into a marriage with abokey/fulanis. Yet, they don't see anything wrong with forcing South South into their shitty Biafra. Is marriage by force? Niger Delta don't want you, why don't you move on with your fckn lives?
Isn't it VERY funny, same time Pathetic, how these guys include south south into their imaginary Biafra without any approval from them? Yeah very funny.
The moment any tribe or group of people in South south say they don't want, they call you a Fulani lapdog or they start reminding you how your people were slaves to the bini's as if that's even going to change our stance The average IPOB is very very toxic and easily pained
Some will tell you the "Niger Delta igbos". Lmfao Pls yall should tell me, who are the Niger Delta igbos you're referring to? Ika people and Ikwerre people have rejected you because of your toxicity and you just cant deal with it.
The sooner you ipobs leave us the fck alone, they better. Do not underestimate us. We have said it so many times and we Stan by it. we don't fancy this yeye marriage. If you think you can force us, then know that a repeat of history is gonna happen since yall never learnt from that. After all the highest you can do is wail that we teamed up with fulanis and yorubas to put yall in where you belong. That's the trashcan of course
Of course they need south south. Igbos may be business savvy but the entire south east is largely unproductive and undeveloped.
Gregorian2020: Let's wait till then, but if the masses didn't unite now they will not be able to detect their enemies according to explanation of @bakinwuta said in one of his comments that we the masses can determined what happened in the country that we are not weak
The truth is that people don't really know what they want. It's our problem
potland: After much dithering procrastination on the role he would play in the emergence of his successor, President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to play a decisive role in the forthcoming 2023 presidential elections.
Indeed, rarely has it been seen that a president anywhere did otherwise.
The only idea of a president in Nigeria playing a role in the emergence of his successor was President Olusegun Obasanjo, who is so far, the only one of the four presidents of the Fourth Republic to have completed two terms in office.
Nigerians, indeed cannot forget the viciousness with which Dr. Obasanjo carried out his agenda to foist President Umaru Yar‘Adua as his successor.
So brutish was the election that brought in the new president that Yar‘Adua on his inauguration confessed that his election was marred by irregularities.
That confession was what kick-started the nation’s path towards progressive electoral reforms that have now been severely eroded by the present National Assembly leadership.
Perhaps, the only election that was so marred by malpractise as the 2007 election was the 2019 election.
The National Assembly and President Buhari had an opportunity to advance the electoral reforms prior to the 2019 election, but thrice the president vetoed the new Electoral Bill.
President Yar‘Adua had kickstarted the process of electoral reforms that brought in credible elements from the civil society like Justice Mohammed Uwais, Prof. Attahiru Jega and Barrister Mike Igini.
It is reflective of the reverses suffered since the advent of those reforms under the Buhari era that it would be suggested that a presidential aide in the person of Lauretta Onochie would be brought in to join the electoral team to midwife his succession.
While many Nigerians in the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC had believed that President Buhari was contemplating being detached from the succession programme, his spokesman, Garba Shehu last Tuesday came out to rubbish that idea.
Speaking to newsmen after the Sallah prayers, Shehu said that President Buhari would take an active role in determining his successor who he inferred would definitely not come from the PDP.
Noting that Buhari would constitute an obstacle to the PDP’s dreams of regaining power, Shehu said: “We see PDP nursing the false hope of taking over power in 2023. The masses will never abandon President Buhari’s leadership.
“I’m sure in 2023, they’re waiting for him to show the way,” Shehu had said.
The assertion is one that is loaded with trepidation within and outside the APC.
For the PDP, the assertion presupposes that the 2023 election could go the way of the 2019 or 2007 elections that were adjudged to be among the worst in the nation’s history.
“If it goes that way, it means that by hook or crook and whether Lauretta Onochie is there or not, that the elections would go the way the incumbent desires.
The claim that the president’s stock of 12 million votes would be available to push his succession agenda is an imagination that is far from reality. It is as such not a surprise that the APC has as a policy adopted the unpopular chorus against electronic transmission of votes and is supportive of the retention of collation centres – the axis of evil where election results are altered with brute force.
It is remarkable that just about the same time that Mallam Shehu echoed the president’s succession agenda, that the national secretary of the APC’s National Caretaker Committee, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe came out to say that the party would adopt the principle of consensus to choose its candidate.
Remarkably, the option of consensus is one that is built into the constitution of the party.
The other options are direct primary and indirect primary.
The option of consensus becomes tenable when all aspirants agree among themselves to the adoption of one of them.
It is a principle that is bound to prove risky, contentious and possibly rupture the party.
But with the presidential baton in hand, it is expected that all possible rebellions would be squashed.
The adoption of consensus suggests that those driving the presidential succession agenda have not been able to browbeat those they do not want to succeed Buhari into submission.
It is now universally known that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is about the most potent force that is in the presidential race in the APC. Your correspondent now understands that Asiwaju’s strategies have given him an edge in a free and fair contest to be reckoned with as a possible winner in a presidential primary, indirect or direct.
With support in key states in the Southwest, Northwest and Northeast and the South-South, Asiwaju is about the most potent force in the APC presidential race that the only way to stop him is the adoption of a consensus strategy.
In that direction, your correspondent predicts that in few weeks time more overt moves to curtail the Jagaban of Borgu will commence.
Pdp can't ever defeat APC with their attitude. Pdp is a party of irresponsible rogues and thieves. Any candidate they produce is a thief. All their primaries are rigged to favour the highest bidder. Scams and lies are their modus operandi
Voice22: Bandits acting with impunity under ‘sleepy Buhari’ – US economist, Hanke
Daily Post7h
Steve H Hanke, an American applied economist at John Hopkins University, Baltimore, United States, has taken a swipe at the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration as Nigerians continue to witness an upsurge in insecurity issues across the country.
Hanke, who is one of the Buhari-led administration’s critics, said this in a reaction to the recent attack on a Nigeria Air Force jet by bandits.
DAILY POST reported that Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha jet that flew out of base for an assault on Sunday, crashed.
The fighter plane routinely conducts air raids on the Kaduna-Katsina-Zamfara corridor. #presidentbuhari #Hanke #DivinevibezTV
It was gathered that the aircraft crashed in Kaduna during an operation after it was attacked by bandits but no casualty was reported.
Reacting, Hanke in a tweet via his Twitter account on Thursday slammed Buhari for allowing bandits to keep terrorizing Nigerian citizens under his watch.
According to him, “Nigeria ranks a terrible 161 out of 162 in security and safety, a report recently released by Caton Institute.
“On the border of the Nigerian state of Kaduna, bandits have shot down a Nigeria Air Force jet.
