Hope you are not forgetting the injured arsenal players in the home and away fixture? What if liverpool is brought to this so called barca and they are not humbled? what will be your excuse? lol. Rubin played attacking footie with you and defeated you, inter defeated chelsea home and away so watch out what happens tonight. This is the final match for inter and not in madrid, so watch out for a different inter and not the one you met during the group stage.

ogazi007:
And where is Rubin Kazan now?
you must be kidding if you think you can be as lucky as Rubin Kazan to only had three chances in camp nou and scored twice, while barca had dozens of chances and could not put them away,i dont know how formidable your  team are to lay claims to a ball that hit the bar and didnot pass the goal lines as the effort of the team.(a bit of luck i suppose)Barcelona hit bar twice in that game,Rubin Kazan were lucky the same way arsenal were lucky in the first leg.we shall see who go madrid after the second leg in camp nou next week.
Arsenal were unfortunate and if they are to meet barca again i will surely place my bet on them, that game proved something which will only be visible the next time they meet. It doesn't matter where they are now Rubin, Chelsea and Liverpool have defeated Barcelona in the past and that's the fact i am pointing to you. Barca is beatable both home and especially  away in that camp nou, as you have already said lets watch and see who goes through. I don't know why you guys just suddenly lack respect for other clubs and coaches because you won six trophies last season. Remember you haven't won anything yet this season?

Jose cant do jack against this barcelona side with high self confidence and determination to make history.
jose factor that couldnot not fetched his team a short on target in camp nou during the group stages.
His factor that could not stops barcelona's shaky frontline from not disorganizing his solid defence.
he can say whatever he want to say,its 180mins(x) game and we shall wait for him in Camp nou to teach him and his team some footie lessons.
those that have being to camp nou knows its not a child's play, its indeed a slaughtering ground.
forza barca!
Did you slaughter rubin kazan?

honeric01:
I don't care what Mou thinks, i know he can't do anything, we have played his team times without number and this one won't be different, we are surely beating them at home, the least is a draw. (but there must be goals)
This is quite disrespectful and unnecessary arrogance to inter milan ala Jose Muorinho. grin

Espanyol has always been a team of trouble, they always give us problems, but i know when the time comes, they'd fade out just as Getafe was before.
I am so disappointed with Getafe, they really had great potentials but turned out to be something else presently.

honeric01:
Today's match won't end in a loss, we either win or play a draw, we will finish off the rest when we meet at the camp nou
Over confidence will cost barca so many trophies in the future, hope you remember rubin kazan. cool

Two goals in the second half earned Nigeria the West African title,

Nigeria needed two second half goals from Reuben Gabriel and Solomon Okpako to win the West African Football Union (WAFU) Cup in Abeokuta on Sunday evening.

Watched by a packed capacity home crowd eager for victory, the Super Eagles did not disappoint as they ran out winners over their neighbours with two well taken strikes.

Gabriel scored the opening goal off an Ikechukwu Ibenegbu freekick before Okpako secured victory with a cool slot into the Senegalese goal three minutes to time.

The Nigerians had been expected to win the game during an impressive tournament showing that had seen them defeat Senegal in the group stages 2-1.

The Lions gave a good account of themselves after they conceded the first goal but were unable to break down the resolute Nigerian defence in their massed attack.

It was the Nigerians who cheered into the evening when the referee finally blew his whistle.

Flying Eagles Bring Amajita down to earth

The South Africa Under-20 team, Amajita, lost 3-1 to the Nigerian Under-20 side, Flying Eagles, at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday evening.

The game was closer than the score suggested and the home team were by no means outplayed by the West Africans.

The first half failed to deliver much in the way of clear-cut goal chances, with both teams being forced into taking shots from some range.

This meant that South African keeper Tafeeq Salie and his Nigerian counterpart Muhammed Bala did not have too much work to do.

The crowd though, who filled the stadium to about 65% of its capacity (in the region of 40 000 people), didn’t seem to mind too much as a festival atmosphere prevailed with the Mexican Wave a regular occurrence.

The pace of the game was relentless, with the high levels of fitness being shown by the youngsters.

With attacks from both sides breaking up around the edge of the box it was hard to see where a goal would come from, but just before half time Amajita got the breakthrough when Jabulani Ncubeni coolly slotted home from 10-yards out after the ball had been worked across the Nigerian goal-mouth into his path.

It was the Maritzburg United winger’s second goal in as many games after his strike against Brazil on Tuesday.

The visitors were soon back in the game however, levelling the score-line at 1-1 in the 49th minute when Envoh Terry slotted the ball into an empty net after Salie had hurt himself in a challenge with Olarenwajua Kaydde.

The game was held up for over five minutes as the Ajax Cape Town youngster received treatment before finally being taken off on a stretcher.

Following the goal, the match again took on the same pattern to that of the first half, with the game an open one, serving up fast-paced action, but with no end results.

Somewhat out of the blue the west African side went in front when in the 75th minute right back Oliha Aiube struck with a long range effort that took substitute keeper Sanele Ngubane by surprise, finding the top corner.

With two minutes of regulation time left Nigeria netted a third when Otubanjo Olaitan scored with a sweetly-taken volley from 30-yards out.

The final score-line was perhaps rather cruel on Amajita, who had matched Nigeria for most of the game and did not deserve to lose by a two goal margin.

Amokachi defies NFF

Posted: 2010-04-10 17:59

Super Eagles assistant coach Daniel Amokachi is on a collision course with the NFF after turning up for Friday's opening game of the WAFU Cup tournament in Nike trainers.

Amokachi, who is in charge of the home-based Super Eagles, was issued with a query by the NFF last week for using the Nike shoes in the two legs of the failed African Nations Championship qualifier.

Amokachi has a long term endorsement deal with Nike, signed when he was a player, but the NFF's kit endorsement deal is with rivals adidas.

Officials insist that the former striker must wear NFF adidas kit during official assignments and it was expected that after responding to the query, Amokachi would conform.
