You can tell the landlord or house company to beautify the house and environment while you tell the tenants/landlord/house company to keep the environment clean. They better think this well before they start clamping people into jail, money for beautifying the house has already gone to the landlord or house company in form of rents so the law should be directed to them.

In fairness and all due respect to your judgement, i really think both threads were heading towards different directions and they should not necessarily be merged. Though one thread can accommodation both functions but i think both of them want some form of control and direction for their thread so let it stand and with time they can build their reputation that way.

Though its not bad and even better if one thread can accommodate all information concerning a particular school.

Oando Oil, CONOIL, African Petroleum and MRS Oil are among the powerful players in the petroleum sector that have shared over N3.655 trillion between 2006 and September 2011 in pursuit of importation of refined petroleum products. Jesus Christ shocked

This was revealed today in Abuja by the Nigerian Senate joint Committee on Petroleum (Downstream), Appropriation and Finance.

Senator Magnus Ibe, the chairman of the committee, also disclosed that some 100 companies in the downstream sector and in construction, shared over N1.426 trillion between January and August 2011 alone. What the hell? shocked

Oando Oil is owned by Wale Tinubu’s Oando; Mike Adenuga owns CONOIL, Femi Otedola owns AP, while MRS Oil is run by Aliko Dangote's brother, Sayyu Dantata. Other key players named today include Pinaccle Construction Ltd, as well as Integrated Oil and Gas, which is owned by a former Minister of the Interior, Capt. Emmanuel Iheanacho.

The full list, and their individual haul, as read out by Senator Abe, is as follows:
1. Oando Nigerian Plc. – N228.506 billion
2. MRS –N224.818 billion
3. Pinnacle Construction-N300 billion
4. Enak Oil & Gas –N19.684 billion
5. CONOIl – N37.960 billion
6. Bovas & Co. Nig. Ltd. – N5.685 billion,
7. Obat N85 billion and AP; N104.5billion.
8. Folawiyo Oil - N113.3 billion
9. 8.IPMAN Investment Limited- N10.9billion
10. ACON - N24.1billion
11. Atio Oil-N64.4billion
12. AMP- N11.4billion
13. Honeywell-N12.2billion
14. Emac Oil- N19.2billion
15. D.Jones Oil-N14.8billion;
16. Capital Oil - N22.4 billion
17. AZ Oil- N18.613billion
18. Eterna oil- N5.57 billion
19. Dozil oil- N3.375 billion
20. Fort oil-N8.582 billion.
21. Integrated Oil and Gas- N30.777 billion

With reference to 2011, the companies named by the Senate and the amount of money they have received this year alone include Otedola's African Petroleum, N104.58 billion; A.A. Rano, N1.14 billion; A.S.B, N3.16 billion; Arcon Plc, N24.116 billion; Aminu Resources, N2.3 billion; Avante Guard, N1.14 billion; Avido, N3.64 billion; Boffas and Company, N3.67 billion; and Brilla Energy, N960.3 million.

Others also listed are: DownStream Energy, N789.648 million; Dosil Oil and Gas, N3.375 billion; Inco Ray, N1.988 billion; Eternal, N5.574 billion; Folawiyo Energy, N113.32 billion; Frado International, N2.63 billion; First Deepwater Oil, N257.396 million; Heden Petrol, N693 million; Honeywell Petrol, N12.2 billion; Integrated oil, N30.777billion; AMP, N11.417 billion; Ascon, N5.271 billion; Channel Oil, N1.308 billion; Fort Oil, N8.582 billion; Enak Oil & Gas, N19.684 billion; IPMAN Investment Limited, N10.9 billion; Atio Oil, N64.4billion; AMP, N11.4billion; and Emac Oil, N19.2billion.

Findings by SaharaReporters correspondent indicate that in 2006, only MRS, TOTAL and OANDO were officially listed as beneficiaries of the fuel subsidy recognised by the Federal Government. The three companies were said to have been listed as “major marketers.”

In the following year, 2007, AP and MOBIL joined the three companies and became listed under the category of majors. The same year NIPCO was introduced and listed under the category of petrol depot owners. A new category of “independents” included some marketers who had no depots.

AITEO Energy Resources and TRIQUEST Energy were also added in 2007, bringing the total to eight beneficiaries of the fuel subsidy.

Our reporters gathered that the list of subsidy beneficiaries increased sharply in 2008, rising to of 23, including six majors. Also in 2008, CONOIL and NIPCO were joined by Capital Oil and Folawiyo Energy, under the category of depot owners.

The list of independents also increased from two in 2007 to 14 in 2008 as AITEO and TRIQUEST were said to have been joined by TONIQUE Oil services, IMAD Oil & Gas, Integrated Oil and Gas, Rahamaniyya, AMG Petro Energy, Brittania, ACORN, A-Z Petroleum, SHIELD Petroleum and MAJOPE Investment Limited.

And in 2010, while the beneficiaries of the subsidy payment under the category of major marketers remained steady at six and the depot owners remained two, the list of independent marketers jumped up to 28, with the curious inclusion of many relatively unknown and unheard-of companies. shocked

Competent sources said that the lion’s percentage of N1.426 trillion fuel subsidy for this year will go to Otedola's AP, Wale Tinubu's OANDO, TOTAL, Sayyu Dantata's MRS and And Mike Adenuga's CONOIL. angry

These revelations, which are certain to enliven discussions about the management of the Nigerian economy, come as the government of Mr. Goodluck Jonathan prepares to withdraw the subsidy on petroleum products next month.

Please stop the damn subsidy with immediate effect angry

He told Daily Trust why the four-man representatives of the group who visited President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja last Monday rejected the $50,000 gift,
saying it would compromise their core value Speaking to our reporter last night, Odumakin, who is also a member of Afenifere, narrated how the group led by Pastor Tunde Bakare was offered the money and how it was turned down.

He said the group visited the president last Monday over the state of the nation. At the meeting, Odumakin said they offered the president some frank talk and adviced him on the general elections coming up next year.

“And while we were about to go, an envelope containing the $50,000 was brought before us. One of us opened it to ascertain what was inside. Behold! It was
dollars and we quickly and politely turned it down
. But because somebody went out of the place to begin spreading the information that we collected money, we would not want to make an issue out of it because it was politely turned down.”

Odumakin said collecting the gift would interfere with the group’s core value and “we also believe that collecting the money may compromise us.” He accused
the president’s aides of leaking the information to the public, saying that none of the four members of the group that went on the visit collected the money.

Oturugbeke  grin . . .me accept correction from a cow like you . . . i dey laugh  cheesy.

Why don't we start the correction from here . . . look at those two quotes and point out the difference.

Narrating his case earlier today on naijapolitics, a popular listerv, Mr. Odumakin wrote as follows: “After the meeting with the President, he left the wing where we met for another [wing] and said ‘please don't go yet I'm coming’. Sensing what that could [mean] we headed for our cars…We would have left before Orubebe emerged from the president with a brown envelope but for the fact that the drivers were not allowed to stay in the cars.”

Odumakin further explained: “Before we could drive off he [Orubebe] brought the ‘gift’ from the President and he said so. We rejected the money instantly but he was persistent. Wisdom dictated we couldn't be creating scene at the [Aso Rock] villa gate after midnight.”

“We headed to our hotel and called Mr. Tony Uranta to come up with us. We then called Orubebe and put him on speaker to let him know that we are returning the money through Uranta back to him and to the president. Mr. Uranta then said that he appreciated our integrity.”

Mr. Odumakin revealed that the $50,000 came in “five bundles and all $100”. He added that, in order to guarantee that the money was returned to source, they also called Oronto Douglas, a senior adviser to Jonathan, to inform him of their action.

“We had moved on and we ordinarily would not have embarrassed the Presidency on this matter,” Mr. Odumakin further wrote, adding, “But 48 hours after the visit Saharareporters called to inquire if we visited Jonathan, which we confirmed. We then learnt that the meeting leaked through the other party. At that point, it became clear that some people were out to do some dirty job. It was later revealed to us that the story that was actually sold was that we collected money from the Presidency.”

"And while we were about to go, an envelope containing the $50,000 was brought before us. One of us opened it to ascertain what was inside. Behold! It was

dollars and we quickly and politely turned it down

How can they offer them money when they were about to go ( still in the presidential wing ) and when they were about to drive off?  grin

So why are you not able to keep up, even with your own posts?

I didn’t bribe Bakare’s SNG, says Orubebe

PIQUED by the bribery allegation levelled against him in an on-line medium, the Minister of Niger Delta, Elder Godsday Orubebe, yesterday distanced himself from the report.

While insisting that there was no reason to bribe the cleric and his group, Orubebe said he was worried why anybody could come up with such “distressing” allegation, recalling that the SNG championed the change of guard during the last days of the late President Umaru Yar’Adua without anybody or any group of government.

Said the minister: “I have read, with a deep sense of shock and disappointment, allegations made against me in an on-line medium, claiming that I attempted to bribe the leadership of the Save Nigeria Group after a visit with the president.

“I find these allegations deeply distressing, and I am certain that the highly-respected Pastor Tunde Bakare must have been quoted out of context.

“I am forced to react to these allegations only because I would consider it an insult for anyone to attempt to bribe someone of that stature, visiting with his group, and with, of all sums, $50,000.

“True, a bribe is a bribe, no matter the sum. This is the reason why I am all the more concerned and worried about these claims. What I however find intriguing is that there is absolutely no reason to bribe the Save Nigeria Group. When the body on its own volition rose to challenge the sense of drift that had befallen the country over the illness of our late leader, Mallam Umaru Musa Yar’adua, did anyone bribe them?

“So, it is hard to believe that any right thinking person would attempt to do so now. If a bribe is intended to induce someone to either do something, or to refrain from doing it, what in objective terms would I need to bribe the SNG for at this time.”

He, therefore, enjoined Nigerians to disregard the report, saying “it is a false story that should be dismissed by all right-thinking persons”.

Abuja (WorldStage Newsonline)-- The Minister of Niger Delta, Godsday Orubebe has denied the report that he attempted bribing the Save Nigeria Group (SNG). He said there was no basis to induce SNG led by Pastor Tunde Bakare.

Reacting to a report that he attempted bribing the group when they visited President Goodluck Jonathan over the health situation of the late president Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, he sai the allegations was deeply distressing and should be dismissed in its entirety.

“I have read, with a deep sense of shock and disappointment, allegations made against me in an on-line medium, claiming that I attempted to bribe the leadership of the Save Nigeria Group, SNG,

after a visit with the president.

Uranta had claimed on his Facebook page on Monday that Saharareporters misrepresented the crux of the meeting between the president and the Pastor Bakare-led delegation.

Uranta denied that Jonathan discussed his ambition to run for office with the SNG delegation and also said no money was offered to the SNG team.

Politics / Re: If You Think That Unbanning Prohibited Items is A Wrong Decision , Read This. by BlackRevo: 3:19pm On Dec 01, 2010
^^

Let me start with option (B)

(B) Nigeria and Benin belongs to the Ecowas organization so technically you cannot close the border because goods and people are meant to flow freely without restrictions through this agreement.

Securing the border is not so easy as you think, corruption, technical efficiency and manpower to do that does not exist. There are so many interest involved in this line of business so it is not easy. This is not the border between between mexico and USA, it is very vast stretching from lagos state up to far northern part of Nigeria in sokoto.

(C) Every nation is independent to the choice of what goods they import into their country so we cannot dictate for them except going into a joint trade agreement or understanding.

(A) Its all about the free market and open competition but to me a country to some extent should protect its domestic manufacturers. If you place too much ban then countries will also reciprocate the gesture back to you because the world is a global village. No nation is an island to itself because you also need to export and engage in international trade when the home market becomes saturated.

But from the Nigerian point of view now, there was no need to ban because you do not have any home alternative. We are banning used cheap cars when we do not have car companies like tata of india. The manufacturing industry is very low and not moving ahead because the right factors are not in place so why ban imports?. It is countries like china that should be placing trade barriers on imports and not Nigeria because we are not a manufacturing or exporting country in big sense of it.

In as much as there is no need to argue with you because you have already twisted your logic, i say this for record purposes. None of the SNG members collected the money or even counted it. Tony followed them with the money to the hotel, showed dthem which is easy for anybody to guess when you see 100$ bills in five bundles, you will know its fifty thousand u dont need to count it. Tony showed them they called orubebe put him on speaker and told him they were sending the money back. Main point, they did not collect money or accept a bribe/ transport money/ lunch money. They sent it back

So we should accept your guessing assumption as the truthful order of event? undecided

They could have simply stopped the tony guy before getting to their hotel and ask him to go back without trying to look at what is inside the envelop. Then they can give a call to other presidential aids during the meeting that tony is coming back with the brown envelop simple as ABC. This kind Nigeria proof of integrity na real wa oooo . . . the thing just dey make me[b] laugh[/b] for here.

Sometimes I wonder why it appears people think through their anus. How difficult is it to count 50K dollars? What has the counting of the money got to do with the fact that it was an act of bribery? If the SNG guys have not stated the actual amount, it's people like you who would make outrageous comments doubting the authenticity of the story. Now they have given the actual figures and even clearly given how the whole scandalous event took place, yet you still doubt. Orubebe (GEJ and the rest of their team) have not denied they offered the money. The bone of contention is how will a sane Nigerian classify such a largess (Gift, Tithe or Bribe).

Let's call a spade by its true name "SPADE". There is no gain saying and no matter how hard GEJ cronies try to come up with flimsy excuses, GEJ stumbled once again and has soiled the position he occupies by attempting to lure SNG to support his presidential bid with a BRIBE of $50,000.

Did bakare or save nigeria group ever mentioned the exact amount or where did you get your $50,000 from?

I dey laugh grin grin . . . they even know that it came in $100 bills and five bundles and yet they did not accept the bribe. cheesy cheesy
