If China is willing to massacre a crowd of pro-democracy protesters (who are their own citizens), do you think they'd even bat an eye at "offing" a few illegal Nigerians? The answer is no, they wont.

I found an article that says Eastern Europe is short of skilled workers, but it was from 2008. I imagine after the recession, there will be many skilled jobs available.

In the booming economies of the new EU Member States there is a shortage of skilled workers in all industrial sectors from the building industry to the health sector. This shortage is becoming more acute and is slowing down economic development in Eastern Europe.

If you're skilled though, I think you should think about staying in Naija, there is a severe skilled labor shortage there too.

Europe and the rest of the world for the most part is not in good economic shape. You should stay in Naija and invest your money into real estate, or some other booming sector of the economy.

I think I remember reading somewhere that a lot of Eastern European counties are now having non-skilled labor shortages since their citizens have been flocking to the West. Is this true? I can't remember where I read it.

I have a lot of relatives in the UK, mostly spread out around North and Southeast London (with a few in Bristol), and I've been there to see how the Naijas are.

Why do many Nigerian youths in the UK try to be like Caribbeans? They are joining gangs at a fast rate, and those ones have no respect for the society around them. I know a lot do well in life, but a lot are also doing bad things, and those who are doing bad things are influencing the rest. They go around stabbing and more recently shooting each other over "endz" and postcodes. This is something you never hear about in the states. Nigerian organized crime yes, but predominately Nigerian streetgangs? NOPE.

Why have things gotten this bad, and how did it get this way? Bad parenting? Poorer background? Bad social skills?

What can be done to prevent an entire generation of British-Nigerian youths being lost to these urban problems (what else could they be doing instead of this show of buffoonery?):

Yeah I know, it's very hard to watch. These guys are a disgrace, the older ones really need to stop influencing the younger kids into living this lifestyle. Did you see those young kids in there? Some look no older than 11!

This is all I'm going to post because it is so depressing seeing all of these bright minds fall for this bullsh*t. Do they feel they need to join a gang to be cool? If so, they're weak. I live in a neighborhood where there are gangs on every corner, there is no escaping them, but I am not apart of one. More shame to Nigeria!

I'm a Lagosian from birth (moved to the states at 10), but my folks hail from Rivers state (dad Igbo, mom mixed with a lot of other stuff). I have family everywhere in Lagos and none of them have less than 6 children.

Infant mortality rates amongst Yorubas is much higher than it is with Igbos in Lagos.

Wealth provides you with better health care, more food for the little ones, and better education. Polygamy produces a lot of kids, but how many out of the lot live past the age of 5??

Anyways, lets not turn this into a discussion about Igbo this and Igbo that (what's with the obsession?), this thread is about the failures of government. Lets keep it that way.

Igbos control a lot of wealth in Lagos, and plus Igbos multiply faster than Yoruba, so I can believe that 50% statistic.
