CGO:When starting a sentence, that starting letter should always be in capital. Also, when stating your nationality, that needs to be capitalized too. It's too bad your teachers failed at teaching you proper grammar, people might have took you serious if they hadn't. You should be wary next time you try to criticize people for their grammar, especially when your own grammar need tending to. ![]() |

This is why our great Naija has the problems it does. Our leaders are always looking out for themselves before the people. |
Limewire.com has everything. ![]() |
Why can't I post videos from YouTube so they will show up on Nairaland? When I post a regular link, it is not as encouraging for people to watch, like when it's already on the thread. Can someone do something? Like this format: Much appreciation ![]() |
I wonder what nationality that ignorant fool "CGO" is? |
I use Mozilla Firefox, and it's by far the best browser. Internet Explorer makes my computer go slow But I want to see this new "Google Chrome", I may switch browsers again. |
No one watched the video? It's very interesting, and I recommend watching. ![]() |

PRINCETON, NJ -- Gallup Poll Daily tracking from Aug. 30 through Sept. 1, finds Barack Obama leading the race for president with his highest share of support to date. Fully half of national registered voters now favor Obama for president, while 42% back John McCain. https://media.gallup.com/poll/graphs/080902DailyUpdateGraph1_cnwprms.gif Prior to now, no more than 49% of registered voters supported Obama for president in Gallup Poll Daily tracking. Still, Obama's eight percentage point lead over McCain in the new poll falls one point shy of the lead he attained in late July after returning from a well-publicized trip to Europe and parts of the Middle East. At that time, Obama led by nine points, 49% to 40%. McCain's 42% support is well below his 48% top support level, recorded in late April/early May. It is just slightly better than the 40% he received at several points in July, and the 41% favoring him just last week while the Democratic National Convention was underway. (To view the complete trend since March 7, 2008, click here.) At 8%, the percentage of undecided voters is slightly lower than the 9% to 11% figures seen for most of August, and this is the lowest this figure has been since early June. This, in part, reflects movement of voters toward Obama over the course of the Democratic National Convention, a lead which has been sustained in subsequent days. The field period for today's results includes Monday (Labor Day), when the scaled down Republican National Convention received limited media attention while most news coverage either focused on the hurricane hitting parts of the Gulf Coast or Monday's surprise announcement that the 17-year-old daughter of the soon to be Republican vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, is pregnant. The Republicans hope to start up a more traditional convention schedule today in St. Paul, with the goal of capturing the same kind of media and public attention the Democrats did last week in Denver. -- Lydia Saad https://media.gallup.com/poll/graphs/080902DailyUpdateGraph2_rtyplmn.gif |
Thinking about moving to another apartment. |
madamkoko:It's okay, once someone has called you an insult, this is a very vague hint that you have won the argument. ![]() |
So what! Teenagers get pregnant everyday, so this particular topic is null in my opinion. But, the continuing cover ups by the McCain administration is what has me on the edge of my seat. I don't want any more habitual liars trying to lead this country I currently abode in. ![]() |
tpia:Were you there? Short response, NO. I didn't have to be there, because any idiot (with the exception of you) can read a date of FEBRUARY 2008. And, this photo was retrieved from the Official site Government of Alaska, but suspiciously it was taken down 2 days ago. Can you at lease explain that, because you haven't been able to explain anything yet. ![]() Yes I'm 20, do you need evidence? ![]() |
tpia:I'm 20 years old! And this picture was dated in February, 2008 in which time she should have been 7 months pregnant If you can find any evidence supporting the fact she was pregnant, then you can critique my findings, if not, you cannot criticize me, because you can't support your argument. ![]() Also, I say again, only White America got offended by what Revrend Wright said, because only White America gets scared when a BLACK MAN knows the truth of what's happening to his people. Signs of pregnancy in women over 40. Why don't you read it for yourself, I'm not your teacher. |
CGO:I corrected your atrocious spelling errors! ![]() |
stillwater:I shouldn't have wrote hypocrite, because her daughters actions aren't her own. bahara ![]() |
Yes, I'm happy to hear that. I understand that the same can be said in the United Kingdom too. ![]() |
madamkoko:I agree, you don't know how many Bitches and Hoes would be said by that fatass Rush Limbaugh. |
Because the set of "Republican Values" that have been praised by many Republicans condemn sex before marriage, and Gov. Palin is a Republican and she advocates abstinence. So basically, she is a hypocrite. I don't care about her daughter having the baby, nor do I condemn it, but I think the woman is a hypocrite, and a Liar. Babygate. Look it up brudda. |
And tpia, What Reverend Wright was saying was absolute TRUTH! Only White America gets offended by those comments because they know everything he has said was TRUTH. White America knows how Black Americans have been treated in the past, they feel threatened by the truth, that's the only reason why a controversy ensued. As a Nigerian in America, I applauded Reverend Wright's speech, because I know a lot about Black History, historical and modern, he had a lot of points that many Americans didn't hear, all they hear was "GOD DAMN AMERICA", which was entirely taken out of context. ![]() |
tpia:There are numerous pictures with Governor Palin in them, that point out she may not have been pregnant at the time she would have been. Studies have also shown that the vast majority of women over 35 start to show signs of pregnancy BEFORE and not AFTER, but for her case, she was never shown to be pregnant. Also, this past week, all pictures of Gov. Palin from this past year have been removed from the Alaska state government site. So, if you can state a counter claim or any proof that this woman WAS pregnant at all this year, then I may consider not judging the rest of your posts as NULL. My fellow Nairalanders, do you think this woman looks 7-months pregnant? ![]() https://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s97/uknewdaname/Palin7Months.jpg |
tpia:What the hell is not to get? Also, I care less about this scandal of the daughter being pregnant, because it is minute. But, the current 4 mo. old baby that Gov. Palin has, is another thing. She did not seem pregnant at all this year, I've seen pictures from her in February, and it's obvious that she could not be pregnant. It's called babygate. If you're trying to run for an important position like running a country, honesty should at least be a positive attribute. Dishonesty is what got America to the shitty status it has now. I don't want to see another set of liars running this country. Also, elaborate on this statement, you don't know me or how I think, so I want to know where you got the nerve to say that. tpia: |
I have a hard time understanding why the Republicans are advocating people to stop talking about this scandal, but we all know that they would be the first ones to judge Obama if he had a daughter that was to get pregnant underaged. I don't even want to think of what they would say. ![]() |
I'm still laughing at the fact CGO started this thread! ![]() |
Black immigrants, the invisible model minorityFrom Oakland Tribune For one, I am one Black immigrant who is living up to the Model Minority statement. I am a student at California State University Dominguez Hills, in my Sophomore year. I take great pride, that we Africans are being viewed as the most educated group in America. Are there any other Nigerians or Africans on that matter, who are living up to this article in the U.S. or anywhere else in the world? Discussion will be greatly appreciated. ![]() |
ROTFLMFAO @ the thread starter! ![]() |
Because there are so many different languages and dialects in this land of ours, English is the language that brings us all to a common understanding. I know English is not out native language, and I hate the fact that the colonial language has stuck with us, but it is that way all across the world. All across out great continent, you will find people speaking English, French, Spanish, Afrikaans, and Arabic. Those languages were all brought by colonialism and foreigners not of Africa far ago. So those languages bridge the gaps between a lot of us, because of the so many different tribe languages. ![]() |
No, you are dead. Nigeria is already going through re-birth economic-wise, and I don't need to be there to realize that. Maybe not all states have felt the wealth yet, but certainly Lagos and Abuja and Port Harcourt are all basically getting a rebirth! All the roads that are being paved, and all the new buildings, and new classrooms too. If you don't beleive me I'll gladly post pictures and links. We also have almost 2 million barrels of oil being pumped a day, with new money flowing in daily. I can agree that we still have a problem with corruption, but we are starting to slowly get better. The rebels in Rivers kind of knocked us down to the No. 2 spot in top oil producers in Africa, because Angola passed us in terms of oil, but next year, we should be pumping out 3 million barrels a day. I can agree that some of our newer generations are have some problems, but nowhere near dying! ![]() |
I wish Nigeria would have a nationalized oil company like Angola. Sonangol, soon too be one of the worlds largest oil compaines, is Angolan established, Angolan owned, and they are in charge of all the oil in Angola. Also, the profits of the oil is almost entirely going into Angolan pockets, and the nation of Angola as we speak is drastically becoming very rich. I wish someone in Naija will be smart enough to one day do what the Angolans are doing. ![]() |
Just drive there. How you think most of the Zimbabweans get there? ![]() |
