Any other Sept. 15th babies out in Nairaland?

Throughout this week Newsnight has been dealing with the issue of illegal immigration in Britain. Independent journalist Sorious Samura has produced three fascinating reports on the subject, involving undercover filming to test the boundaries of the British immigration system.

The series concludes this evening with a look at how easy it is for some illegal immigrants to obtain false documents which allow them to work in the UK.

You can watch the first two films online and we'll be discussing the issues all three films raise in tonight's programme, including the main question - is it actually possible to stop illegal immigration into the UK?

Your best bet is most likely Canada.

^^ You don't know jack about the 2000 elections when thousands of ballots just "disappeared" and the heavily Republican supreme court suspended recounting of the elections.

And in 2004, the State of Ohio had many people who's ballots also disappeared, and many Computer voting machines had "malfunctions" in democratic party areas.

Even though USA is very powerful, Nigeria doesn't need to be a puppet to the west! If USA wants our oil, then they'll respect the fact that we want to develop new ways to produce energy! We are a sovereign nation, and America needs to stop sticking their noses into our affairs!

and others too many to mention. Please kindly come up with other errors so people can be informed, It is disgraceful because most of these word are basics that shouldnt be mis-spelt

PROUDLY NIGERIAN! Even though I live in America now, I will return!

In Canada they have universal healthcare, and schools are better. If you get sick in Canada, you get the best treatment for almost free. But, it's more expensive to live there than the USA. In America healthcare and schools aren't as good, but it's cheaper and easier to live here if you're a newcomer.


I suggest America, I've been here for almost 2 years, and they basically pay for everything right now. I have a federal education grant, where they pay for my education, and they pay for my living conditions, and they give me a check for living expenses. You might be able to get the same thing in Canada though.

All this black on black crime in the west makes me sick!

I have never been to Salt Lake City, but I know that there aren't many Black's out there. The town is starting to get more Black because a lot of Somalians and Sudanese refugees are going there, but it's still not Black like Houston or Los Angeles. Here, read the article I read:

NO don't do it brotha! If you enter a ship container hoping to end up in America or Europe, you will most likely suffocate! There have been numerous Chinese who've tried to enter America through the same plan, and they have a 2 out of 10 chance of survival! Please, immigrate a safer way!

Some Countries our intimidated by our skin color, others just go by stereotype (thinking we're all 419 scammers). Countries like Libya, where they have "Black Days", and go round up all the Blacks and ask for their papers, if they don't they'll get beaten then deported.

In Australia, many Africans try to immigrate there or apply for refugee status, and they did. But last year, the government put a QUOTA on how many people can migrate from Africa! So they basically made discrimination legal there. But, many Australians fail to realize that us Africans are the smartest people in their Schools, and we get our education then LEAVE!

In America, the government is more open to African migrants. Even though I feel like when they deport, they deport more Africans compared to any other group in terms of the ratio of that population. Here, you find Africans from all walks of life: Nigerians, Ghanaians, Ethiopians, Somalians, and etc,

But, I think they're unfairly singling us out, because last year they deported 50,000 Nigerians, compared to 250,000 Mexicans! The ratio of us compared to other immigrants being deported is unfair!

Obama is the only person in the United States with the level of Secret Service (his bodyguards) equivalent to President Bush. I hate the fact that these White Supremacist losers keep trying to mess with our Obama!

Good thing they're in jail, maybe in there, they'll learn their lesson!

Illegal Immigrants come in all forms. You have the ones who cross the border illegally (mostly Mexicans), then you have the ones who overstay their Visa's, or the one's who came in the Country unauthorized (mostly through border crossings). But, I think Nigerians shouldn't be one of their top priorities, since Mexicans and Central Americans are more numerous in terms of illegal immigrants.

I actually don't want them deporting us, because there are too many Mexicans here already, and I want more ethnic diversity!

Why do you want to ban us? I was born in Enugu and came to American on a Student Visa to further my knowledge so I can eventually come back, and help Nigeria become the great nation I know it can become. You cannot deny the problems of the Nigeria of today. We have serious problems with corruption, misuse of funds, fraud, and not to mention all the Problems in the Delta!

I love Naija, but I cannot pretend my land is perfect, while I'm abroad studying, so I can make it better. That is called DENIAL. I cannot deny the great future of my Country. PEACE.
