PoliticsRe: Jonathan In Secret Meeting With Tinubu, Others by blacksta(m): 9:06am On Apr 12, 2011
The murky waters of Nigerian politics

as mentioned GEJ had been romancing with  irrelevant people who cant deliver votes in the SW - he went as far standing on podium

with irrelevant people calling the relevant people rascals - Abeg laugh wan kill me

As i mentioned  - the political model to follow for the rest of Nigeria is currently been practised in the SW region.

Say whatever you like about tinubu  - who in Nigeria is not compromised .

The time to have Unity government is not now - what about the last 4 years in government why did the idea of unity government

not come up - if i were Tinubu - i would be going for the dagger . PDP should not trusted.

Tinubu a man who understands the political terrain of Nigeria  yet ridiculed  - who is having the last laugh now

Here we have GEJ with tail wrapped  begging for mercy.

Haba Mr President  - see what you have reduced the office of Presidency to

I'm just reposting what someone posted on page1 of this thread.

But this is a shame and a tremendous fall from grace.
I am bit confused  - I saw this picture some times last week.

anyway from bbc

Mr Bamba says the arrest of Mr Gbagbo was carried out "swiftly and professionally" by forces loyal to Mr Ouattara. "The nightmare is over for the people of Ivory Coast, there is much celebration. He is now being held in a safe place for the next steps to put him on trial."
Foreign AffairsRe: Breaking News: Gbagbo Arrested. by blacksta(m): 3:30pm On Apr 11, 2011
superboi:
Guy if you have been following CIV since 2000 you would know that after Gbagbo was sworn in Quattara made a promise to make the country ungovernable for him. In 2002 a rebel movement led by Soro started in the north backed and armed by France and logistically supported by Campore(Burkina Faso). The rebels openly said that their leader was Quattara and they would not be peace in CIV until Quattara rules,
See go search for Quattara policies and Economic decision then you would see why the French will kill for him, Nuff said
Please post it here -

thanks

from BBc

The BBC's Mark Doyle in Abidjan says: "The questions of who arrested Mr Gbagbo and how it happened is important, because according to my information the French forces were in the lead moving towards Mr Gbagbo's residence a couple of hours ago. But senior French military sources here are now claiming that there was not a single French soldier on the ground when Mr Gbagbo was arrested - and this is so they can try and distance themselves from any accusations of neocolonialism and so on."
Foreign AffairsRe: Breaking News: Gbagbo Arrested. by blacksta(m): 3:08pm On Apr 11, 2011
Stop spreading rumours  - it is was not french soldiers it was pro quattro forces that arrested gbagbo  - for weeks now gbagbo residence had been surrounded by pro quattro forces - or did you think gbadgo was going to be holed in a bunker for life.

Why would the french special force hand over gbabgo to the opposition  - does that make any sense at all.

Nobody has violated any  Ivory coast sovereignty
Foreign AffairsRe: Breaking News: Gbagbo Arrested. by blacksta(m): 2:52pm On Apr 11, 2011
It is more complicated than that -  gbadgo cant not be handed to the un tribunal yet.  According to Ivory cost constitution Gbagdo needs to sign power away and hand over to Quattro and a Gbagbo death without handing over will make Quattro reign illegal.

PoliticsRe: Something Terrific About Goodluck Jonathan? by blacksta(m): 2:42pm On Apr 11, 2011
Nigerians generally suffer from selective amensia - That is why many are easily hoodwinked by false promises from vision 202020 , food and education for all by 2000 , 6000 MW by dec 2010 and many more evil deceiving promises.

As Fela stated - we be masters in the act of suffering and smiling,

Last craze at the moment " GEJ has delivered 1 election out of 3 - the whole country don enter frenzie madness and quick to forget that last 12 years of misrule

Another delusion from Pdp supporter Mr Beaf " FASHOLA does not need TInubu to hit national stage - it is more a case of tinubu needs BRF"
PoliticsRe: Will Fashola Join PDP Or Will He Overthrow Tinubu In ACN? by blacksta(m): 1:43pm On Apr 11, 2011
Beaf  -  speculating, speculating - so far according to available facts ACN is growing party ( it needs more time )while the otherwise is the case of PDP.

As mentioned  - what is more likely, is the gradual decimation of the PDP party - That evil bolt similar to barth party in the middle east has to wiped out from the memories of Nigerians

And please stop deluding yourself PDP can never reform.  How do you reform a party accurately described by the Americans as a party with no real ideologies and a mere arrangement of individuals with sole self interests propagation

It is much easier to put it to death than trying to salvage it

whether marginal or not  defeat na defeat ( positive governance will win the remaining to the side of good) -  The stronghold of evil PDP will be broken over THE SW region -  how long can the likes of AKala , OGD  continue with impunity -    One thing that stands however how long evil last , one day the truth will trumiph .  PDP for the last 12 years have offered no good  but retrogression  .

When votes actually counts the likes pf  AKala, ogd, oyinola, bankole, obj, omisore and adebidu all have no legs to stand on.

Johns83:
Nigerians, our problems and peculiarities are more than theoretical projections.
If you ask an average person from the south east for example why they want to vote Jonathan, they will tell you because the Hausa Man and yoruba man has had their fair share of government. Let them taste it too.
All the Hausas also in the North, and Muslim faithfuls, why do they want Buhari, because he is their man and they share the same ideals and culture.
So the fact actually in Nigeria is that we are not really ONE. We might try to say we are united or that we are one country but deep down inside our hearts, there is that element of affinity and preferrability for our race and culture. So are we racist then? I would say no, but we are very much not ONE NIGERIA in the true sense of the word.
I believe it is then a natural and healthy truth if we see parties not having a National Outlook. In other words, CPC is dominating North, ACN is dominating south. PDP tried to give us a National Outlook and the result is that we all never supported them and they rigged their way into government.
Nigeria is too diverse for all of us to want to support a particular cause or political party. We cant compare ourselves to the Unites States, or the Western World or Even the Arab Nations we are a very rare race if you look at the History of Nigeria and How it was constituted. The South West want to pursue the Ideals of Awolowo, free education, agriculture, cocoa etc and all the things he pushed for. The Northerners also have their own culture, plus Islam being very big over there, sharia reserved culture etc.

So there is no political party that can truly call themselves a National Party because how do you combine all these Ideals and Various cultures into one and think that people will support it. That is why Nigeria has been failing because PDP Rigged themselves into government. If you study it in 1999, The Yorubas never really voted Obasanjo. They Voted Olu Falae. Obasanjo was a tool of the Northern elites like IBB etc. who then later disappointed them and started pursuing his own cause. (Food for thought: HAVE YOU EVER SEEN DIMEJI BANKOLE WEAR A YORUBA CAP BEFORE??)

For Nigeria to really work, we must understand our problems (A problem known is half solved) and reach a consensus on how we want to move ahead and not by proposing any silly theories which are not based on any form of Historical truths.
Post of the Year  -

Nigeria a very diverse , complex country  - very hard to find something that unifies all of us . hence regional parties are the way forward.
PoliticsRe: Pdp Survives, Acn Gains, But Cpc Underperforms by blacksta(m): 10:22am On Apr 11, 2011
Beaf

I dont need your tears - if it is for rest of Nigeria then it is accepted. In the history of Nigeria the SW regions remains the politically developed part of Nigerian which should be a model for every other region should follow until we can have a national party that would cater for the needs of every Nigerian unfortunately PDP is not the party. The need to vote for individual rather than parties in itself will also not work for Nigeria. Stronger regional parties remains the best option for now.
PoliticsRe: Pdp Appears To Be Popular In The South West ? by blacksta(m): 10:08am On Apr 11, 2011
The beauty of Democracy - when votes actually counts - Sensible Majorities determine the fate of the rest.
PoliticsRe: Pdp Survives, Acn Gains, But Cpc Underperforms by blacksta(m): 10:00am On Apr 11, 2011
Goodluck Jonathan would have certainly been one of the best presidents Nigeria ever had but unfortunately actions speak better than words.

What were hear constantly from the gej/pdp camp are promises - this and that yet they lack the will power to follow up on implementation. If after 12 years of retrogression one has not woken up - i dont know what else to say.

Nigeria is a very diverse and slightly complex country - what will work for all us is a weaker central government and stronger regional governments-  The SW region will soon fall into place and will leave the rest of Nigeria behind.
PoliticsRe: Pdp Survives, Acn Gains, But Cpc Underperforms by blacksta(m): 9:24am On Apr 11, 2011
Mr Gbawe - abeg tell them ooo

Even with a majority in all mentioned houses  - what did PDP achieve in 12 years  - absolute nothing  - yet some are stilling clamour for another four years.  I strongly believe that SW region will experience massive development over the next four years but sad to say - I have no hope for the rest of Nigeria expect states like Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Kano.
