Why dont people read the article before demonizing it  - Wikileaks has confirmed that the Oyinbo's know Nigeria more than we do.  We need to stop behaving like an ostrich and deal with issues objectively.

Jonathan was never scheduled to visit Bayelsa. Lies, lies, lies.
it is inconsequential  -whether he had a planned visited or not  -but really it is shame to have chaos in 21 states of the country. I am thinking this issue is too much for GEJ to bear. why not just resign as he has dully expressed to the U.S envoy that he lacks the mantle to revive this nation.

It is clearly looking obvious as predicted by the CIA come 2015 Nigeria will be no more.

More reason why the delegates should not vote for GEJ. Do or Die politics at best from the greatest political crook of all time Mr Anenih more like Anini-  According to the facts so far GEJ is going to lose the Primaries.  At this moment in the life a vote for GEJ will ultimately signal the end of PDP. GEJ's case will be like that of England who were promised votes by fifa delegates only for them to change voting pattern at the last minute.

PoliticsRe: Fashola Suspends Lekki Expressway Toll Collection by blacksta(m): 10:42am On Dec 30, 2010
I think it is good move to suspend the toll collection  - hopefully i hope it is because of the bye election loss in Ikorudu  It shows that BRF and ACN are listening parties .  In the developed world where are trying to copy.  all lot of public consultations would have preceeded before implementation with the idea of the masses to buying into the project but unfortunately it looks like the whole process was done Nigerian flawed approach " Shoot first and Ask questions later" . and the other questions remain " how can toll be implemented on an uncompleted road network".

My experience in the U.k - Toll roads are seen as a quicker alternative but in the case of the lekki no such alternative route exist.

A recent American study concluded that

Toll roads are an inefficient, backwards approach to providing public highways. Worse, they foster corruption, political patronage, and discourage needed improvements on the rest of the highway system.

Don't be fooled by the references to "free-market principles," "proper pricing," "supply and demand," and "economic incentives" from those selling the for-profit roadways. The truth is, any resemblance to free-market principles is more illusion than fact.

Toll roads are literally a monopoly that is sanctioned and protected by the state.

At poster - I would tread carefully

A Friend of my mine recently got a job in Nigeria as an Executive director for Starcomms and  his salary was 21 Millon Naira and was also given a 3br flat in Lekki and an official car the guy is back in the U.K after about 5 months in Nigeria.  Working in Nigeria is different ball game  - Your integrity will surely be tested and your fellow workers  will always ask you to compromise  in all matter.  for example My friend was expected to be part of team who rigged Annual general meeting shareholder votes and at some point their office was raided by EFCC

If you are spiritual type and dont want to go to hell  - ol boy stick your contracting in the U.K at least your invoices get paid on time.

I believe from the Jos news, that investigations would likely provide concrete proof of who exactly is behind these troubles.

abudugana:
Recently some individuals from some parts of Europe and America visited Nigeria to pledge their solidarity for Jonathan's presidency. This testifies to what diasporic bodies might be used for politically which in real sense is to create false impression that a candidate enjoys wide spread acceptance. In our case, we have persistently refused to be used for this and other related purposes, therefore one reason why our arrest is imminent.
Thanks for the clarification - I guess it was one of the reason i did not join the u.k branch as i felt that the leadership then were more interested in the political contacts they could get out of it. I remember one of the leaders of the u.k branch was struck off because of medical malpractice by the UK Medical council

I seem to be baffled why an Ambassbor will be interested in running a NGO organisation unless it is to used to siphon money. There is more to this story. NIDO is like a social club absolutely powerless in realms of power as far Nigeria is concerned. Maybe NIDO collects money from FG and the Ambassdor wants his own share.

The Jonathan administration also huge sums of money for non-existent rice farms. One of such farms is said to have been at Elebele estimated at N300 million. Beyond that the Acting President owns three multi-million Naira hotels. One of them is adjacent to Chief. DSP Alamieyeseigha’s residence in Yenagoa. Another gigantic hotel owned by the Acting President is situated after Commissioner’s quarters along Elebele Road near AIT office in Yenagoa. There are unconfirmed reports too that the Acting President owns a building estimated at N1 billion at Victoria Island, Lagos. The aforementioned property were not declared to the Code of Conduct Bureau as Assets owned by the man. This is in addition to the massive Otueke Hotel owned by Dame Patience Jonathan.
PoliticsRe: Ribadu Worth N26 Million At End Of Efcc Tenure by blacksta(m): 10:18am On Dec 29, 2010
GEJ UNDECLARED ASSET

In another bizarre twist, when Chief Timipre Sylva assumed office as Governor of Bayelsa State, there were wide spread speculations that the Bayelsa State was heavily indebted. Although Governor Sylva in a press briefing cleared the air by saying that his predecessor did not leave behind any debts, there are now discordant reports to that effect. Such indications emerged clearly at a recently concluded Budget Retreat organized by the Government of Bayelsa State where the Commissioner of Finance & Budget stated in unambiguous terms that the State has been reeling under a debt of more than N28 billion.

The results of our investigations are startling but some of them are still inconclusive because the investigator could not have access to certain vital documents. The Acting President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has much more property and assets that were not declared. Our informant who preferred anonymity said that the most annoying project that served as a drainpipe in the Jonathan administration was the Gas Turbine project awarded to an indigenous company owned by an Ogbia Woman. The initial contract value was N4 billion Naira but the sum was later reviewed upwards to N8 billion. Two things were wrong with the contract. First, the award did not follow Due Process. Secondly, rather than buy new turbines, the contractor merely refurbished the broken parts of the old turbine. Experts estimated that not up to N1 billion was spent while the other N7billion went into the pockets of the two parties.

Again, one Moses Otazi who served as Dr. Goodluck’s Chief of Staff is believed to have stolen about N150 million from Government House and hid the money at Ewoi his wife’s village.

Beaf as i have said - you are a robot and the Ability reason objectively has not yet been coded.

Firstly

26 Million which mostly comprises of assets and not cash in the Nigerian context for man who was top ranking officer cannot be tagged as illegally gained is only releative to what has he has geninuely earned. Unlike your so called GEJ who declared almost 1billion if not more as failed custom officer , some backward phd professor and now an imposed President.

For the sake of the Osun people he is now the governor abi what else does he want.

The man should have kicked off his ambition in his state, perhaps as a Senator (as has been widely adviced). Right now, his political career is effectively over, he has sadly joined Nigeria's ranks of political no-hopers, the Chris Okotie's, "Abubakar" Saraki's and Dele Momodu's.

The above, of course is barring any last minute miracles.
At least not at the expense of mediocracy. where you replace people like Donald and ken with Yaradua and GEJ definitely not the sharpest knives in the draw.
