Politics › APC Govt Should Know That They Are Not God And Can't Do Everything. by BlackTechnology(op): 9:39am On Mar 19, 2016 |
The minister for trade investment and industry created a new program called YES to help unemployed youths start up businesses It is unfortunate he is towing the path of every failed programs of similar nature It is unfortunate he has not thought deep on reasons why previous programs couldn't achieve desired results. THE SECRET BEHIND HIGH EMPLOYMENT IN DEVELOPED NATIONS OF THE WORLD The greatest problem instigating unemployment is the disconnection between those that have business ideas and those that have business capital. America Europe Japan etc became haven of high employment because there is a union of those who have money and those who have business ideas. Some of us are familiar with the documentary " The men who built America." America Europe Japan etc economies will die like Soviet economy the moment there is a disconnection between these two groups of people. The minister should create a platform where these 2 set of groups meet. APC Government should know that they are not God and can't do everything. For this reason, instead of government being the sole financier, the government should invite the financially well to do people to invest in people with business ideas with the promise that they will own a sizeable portion of the business once it takes off. This is the most sustainable way to reduce unemployment.APC should get it into their empty skulls that because government come and go, it would be difficult to leave a lasting legacy But when wealthy citizens and organizations invest in people that have marketable ideas/products, even if the party no longer holds power, it won't stop the proliferation of businesses because the wealthy citizens and organizations will do everything to preserve their investments. Once those investments are preserved, employment and wealth will increase.Arresa Aresa Obiagelli Tonyebarcanista Noblezone Phockphockman Phockphock Truckpusher Ibnsultaan kettykin nigerianvenom rose2014 bevista superstar1 etc This is why Osun state and most SW states failed and will keep failing. Other Nigerian states can't escape the trap of unemployment until this union is created. |

aolumaxi: early this morning (abt 2 am) while doing my assignments, I decided to turn on my 'tunein' radio and the name radio biafra came to my head... I den did a search and luckily I found it (radio biafra uk) and they was a programme in session wen the presented castigated buhari and 'the zoo called nigeria'(those were his words)...
the station to me is a hate radio and nigeria was right to pull it down from broadcasting in Nigeria...
as much as dey dnt wanna accept it, they are propaganda who make silly claims jst to make people buy their ideology... e.g. when the presenter said buhari imports grass to feed his cows ( doesn't dat sound foolish?)
well, I can only pray things get better and everyone support this nation coz whether we like it or not.... we remain united and won't be separated by hate or propaganda.......
Disclaimer: I'm a builder by profession, not a grammarian, so u shouldn't castigate my english be it right or wrong... ; I bear no allegiance to any political party but to the sovereign state of Nigeria

TonyeBarcanista: I disagree... Let us leave aside political comradeship. Obasanjo remains the best Democratic president since 1999 but his refusal to strengthen our Democratic institutions make me rank him as both the best and the worst. Yar'adua government was not fantastic. It shielded lots of corrupt people like Obj's but still fought more.
I will say GEJ's had the best democratic credential and most transparent but most wasteful. Yar'adua's was the most embarrassing but less wasteful, while Obj's was the better administration but most undemocratic.
As for Buhari, his government is an embarrassment Just like the Op did, list the things OBJ did Jonathan out performed OBJ |

kettykin: The ICC should set an example and a precedence wit buratai and buhari, one keeps wondering is it the same Nigeria army that ran away to Cameroon as refugees when they were confronted by Boko Haram, the same Nigerian army that has never engaged the cameroon military over bakassi peninsular now talking about ROE when it has to do with unarmed protesters.
I can now see why nnamdi kanu called Nigeria a zoo. This same army that depended on South African mercenary to rout Boko Haram still has the audacity to shoot at unarmed protesters. Very shameless and despicable acts. The same ipobs protested all over the world capitals with no single casualties only to be shot at while protesting in Nigeria, then something is actually wrong with Nigeria. Very true Unfortunately for them, ICC has taken note that's why they are scared to face imprisonment I won't be surprised if Israel and Morocco push for Buhari's indictment at Hague |
Politics › Re: Post-civil War Indigenization Policy And Its Far-reaching Consequences by BlackTechnology: 5:52am On Mar 18, 2016 |
aribisala0: One thing Eziachi conveniently overlooked is that Awolowo resigned as Finance Minister in 1971 while the Indigenisation decree was promulgated in 1972.
No one has shown the decree or law that enabled the confiscation of money left in banks and how the banks identified those accounts that were Ibo. Ibos by the way were not the only ethnic group in Eastern Nigeria but you hear these lies only from Eboes
The allocation for East Central state was £990 000 pounds a month about £12 million a year.Awo kept all this money and it was reimbursed after the war.He did not have to.
The Federal budget was about £50 million Naira and the current value of £20 (1 Nigerian pound =2 pounds sterling) is £488. i.e about 200000 Naira. http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-1633409/Historic-inflation-calculator-value-money-changed-1900.html The truth is when Ibos fled they were never coming back so why would they leave money in Nigerian banks. Some claim to have lost documents but hey that is war .A large number withdrew whatever savings they had(how many had Bank accounts in those days, how many Banks were there?) and converted these to the Biafran pound. The Biafran pound was not convertible internationally and so Ojukwu took their Nigerian currency to fund his insurgency, that is where their money went. In doing so they were funding and investing in the war effort. The investment turned out to be "Bad Market" so do not blame others.
Once people crossed into Biafra was the Biafran pound distributed to people free? No it was not people exchanged Nigerian pounds and Ojukwu also stole money from the CBN Those people who could prove they had money kept ALL their money. We must not forget that many Ibos stayed on the Nigerian side like Asika and Ike Nwachukwu and Zik and so on Medicine after death Everyone knows it is Awo's handwork |

Noneroone: every groupp can prosper without involving the other. No man's prosperity is tied to the endorsement of another.
But it happened that in nigeria we had three groups one in north, two in south. Hausa has born to rule mentality, are backward, islamic, violent and conservative. Yorubas are fairly progressive and educated, but igbos are the most liberal, progressive, resourceful and intelligent. This is the plain fact. Everyone knows the north should be cut to size if the country sould progress for no nation allow backward group to pilot their affairs if it intends towing the path of progress. But the yoruba is too jealous of igbos, too threatened by igbos and too fearful to allow event follow their path, hence they align with the north to keep the country in perpetual state of underdevelopment. Yoruba policy since amalgation has been guided by hatred, jealousy and fear towards the igbos. Awolowo was the one who told his kinsmen to leave ncnc 'cos it was an igbo party at a time when the major of enugu was a northerner. He started ethnic politics in naija.
The travails of the same awolowo and the crisis in western region(engineered by ahma%u bello) was what provoked nzeogwu's coup. They planned to restore awolowo as the premier. But what happened later? The same awolowo after his release, and inspired by hatred and jealousy, joined the same north wh put him in prison to persecute igbos who fought for him. Even US dip. Archive wrote that awolowos role in that war was inspired by his anipathy towards the igbos. Not to talk of his wartime policies as finance minister.
Even now many yorubas voted buhari not because the saw jonathan as bad but because they believed he identified with igbos.
Therefore igbos do not beef anyone. No igboman has that time. Yoruba policies are guided by hate wickedness and jealousy. I am sorry to be this plain You said it all That's why God prevented Awo from ruling Nigeria Very true in the case of Jonathan. |

Imagine an hausa man as an appointee to obiano be sure he wants to islamize anambra or okorocha, he will be called a bastard who found his way here. Yet our people are appointed all over the country and do not tell me we are efficient and hard working cause last time i checked hausa and yoruba men are the richest men in africa. Make you no kill me cause am still son of the soil that is telling you the truth Please shut up your mouth. Mention one tribe that is more Nigerian than igbos |
