Benue State Police Command operatives have arrested three key suspects connected to the brutal attack on the Anwule community in Ohimini Local Government Area where several residents including a pastor were murdered. The suspects are Isah Peter and Moses Peter from Agatu LGA and a Fulani herdsman. The Plateau State Government has dismissed persistent rumours claiming that Governor Caleb Mutfwang has defected to the Young Progressives Party. In a statement released on Friday, the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Government House, Dr Gyang Bere, described the claim as “a blatant lie, a shameless concoction peddled by desperate mischief makers” aimed at creating confusion and misleading citizens. Soludo’s banking reforms between 2004 and 2009 are a major reason Nigerians today rarely lose their savings when a bank collapses, which was common in the pre-Soludo era. That is a real, lasting legacy that has positively impacted hundreds of millions of lives nationwide, unlike your beer factory, which has destroyed many. Peter Obi, you won your re-election as governor with just 34% of the votes, while Professor Soludo won his with over 70%, despite your campaigning against him and endorsing a different candidate. When Professor Soludo decides to contest for Vice President or President, I have no doubt that he will actually win, unlike a perpetual loser like you, who had to play the ethnic and religious card just to come third in a national election.
