Telecommunications and Banks are all federal government regulated institutions—should move all their headquarters to Abuja.

Abuja is the capital of Nigeria and should host the headquarters of these institutions that serve the country.

Lagos has lost is no longer the federal capital of the country.

It is now a hostile environment which does not guarantee safety and protection.

I will bring out time to explain how it is a problem that must be solved.

PoliticsDangote Reassigns Sacked Refinery Engineers To Sugar And Cement Plants. The Com by blamingthedevil(op): 9:39am On Oct 06, 2025
Dangote reassigns sacked refinery engineers to sugar and cement plants.

The company intends to hire new engineers to replace those who have left openings. Internal sources have characterized this redeployment as a significant setback, highlighting that many of the impacted engineers had undergone specialized training overseas. Some of these engineers might also be relocated to work at Dangote operations in other countries.

“The workers will move to sugar, cement, and other business units. The company invested heavily in their training, and many of them were part of the commissioning phase. Losing that experience hurts, but protecting the refinery comes first,” an official said.

Several engineers who have been impacted by recent changes have already been offered positions by international companies that recognize their skills and expertise. In response to worries about salary inequalities, a consultant clarified that it is typical for there to be differences in pay between expatriate and Nigerian engineers at the beginning phases of substantial projects.

A consultant said, “Every new industrial operation brings in global experts before fully transitioning to local staff. Refinery operations differ from upstream oil exploration, so salary structures cannot be compared.”

Insiders have revealed that the redeployment process is currently underway and being managed on a case-by-case basis. Once this process is finalized, certain engineers will assume new positions within Dangote’s locations both within Nigeria and internationally.
Foreign AffairsHow China Secretly Pays Iran For Oil by blamingthedevil(op): 3:48am On Oct 06, 2025
“U.S. sanctions make it nearly impossible to pay Iran for its oil. China has figured out how to do it anyway, in an arrangement that has largely been secret,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

“The hidden funding conduit has deepened economic ties between the two U.S. rivals in defiance of Washington’s efforts to isolate Iran.”

“The barter-like system works like this, according to current and former officials from several Western countries, including the U.S.: Iranian oil is shipped to China—Tehran’s biggest customer—and, in return, state-backed Chinese companies build infrastructure in Iran.”

BREAKING: PENGASSAN has called off its strike following a resolution facilitated by the Federal Government between the Oil and Gas workers and the Dangote Group.

During a press briefing today, PENGASSAN President Festus Osifo announced that the Union's National Executive Council held an emergency meeting and decided to pause the strike. This decision aims to allow the process of reinstating the dismissed workers from the Dangote refinery to proceed, as all parties have agreed. Additionally, the suspension serves as a gesture of respect for the Federal Government's persistent efforts in addressing and resolving this dispute.

PoliticsCritics Of Tinubu's Visit To Imo State, Will Hail His Visit To Abia by blamingthedevil(op): 2:43pm On Oct 01, 2025
Those who criticised Tinubu's visit to Imo State, today, will hail his visit to Abia, on Friday.

Mark my word! I'm Francis Ndimkoha.

Before the hypocrisy begins, take note of this:

The Owerri - Umuahia road, re-constructed by Gov. Hope Uzodimma is not less than 37km stretch (52km precisely), yet people criticise the visit, by throwing Assumpta flyover in the face of people, as though it were the only reason for Tinubu's visit. In any case, Owerri people know how important the Control post flyover is, not just to Imo commuters, but also to interstate road users.

Meanwhile, the most important road Tinubu will commission in Abia, on Friday, is the Port Harcourt road, which is not up to 5km. Others are street roads.

It's ok, to tarry in hate, but it's an issue when you allow the hate to blind you.

Dangote Group has agreed to immediately begin the process of redeploying the sacked Dangote refinery staffs to other companies within the Dangote Group, with no loss of pay, and PENGASSAN has agreed to start the process of calling off the strike. - FG.

The Federal Government has announced it successfully mediated a resolution to the conflict between the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, following two days of negotiation sessions.

A statement released early Wednesday by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi, revealed that the issue was resolved after extensive discussions.

The statement reads: “The Honourable Minister of Labour informed the meeting that unionisation is a right of workers in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, and this right should be respected.

“No worker will be victimised arising from their role in the impasse between Dangote and PENGASSAN.

Foreign AffairsUS Government Shuts Down After Senate Fails To Pass Funding Plans by blamingthedevil(op): 6:06am On Oct 01, 2025
US federal government shuts down after Senate fails to pass funding plans

Government shuts down: The federal government has officially shut down for the first time in six years after a deadlocked Congress failed to pass a funding measure to keep the lights on — and no one inside the Capitol knows what will happen next.

• Blame game: Once the funding deadline passed, Republicans and Democrats immediately began pointing fingers at one another for the shutdown. Republicans insist Democrats need to simply agree to extend current funding for another seven weeks. Democrats are demanding any funding bill contain an extension of enhanced Affordable Care Act premium subsidies.

• What’s at stake? Every government shutdown differs, but functions that are critical to protect lives and property are typically deemed essential and stay open. Previous shutdowns canceled immigration hearings and delayed federal lending to homebuyers and small businesses, among other impacts.

PoliticsAbducted Edo Lawyer, Sister Regain Freedom by blamingthedevil(op): 9:44pm On Sep 30, 2025
JUST IN: Abducted Edo lawyer, sister regain freedom
The newly called-to-the-bar lawyer, Peace Onyesom, and her sister, Gift Onyesom, who were kidnapped along the Okene-Auchi road on Friday, have regained their freedom.

The victims’ brother, Godspower Onyesom, confirmed their release to PUNCH Metro correspondent in a telephone conversation on Tuesday.

Recall that Peace had participated in the Nigerian Law School call-to-the-bar ceremony on September 23.

She was returning to Benin, Edo State, alongside her sister when they were kidnapped.

Confirming her release, Godspower said, “She has been released. She is back home.”

In an accompanying video sent to our correspondent, Peace thanked everyone who had come to her rescue while saying that the military rescued them.

She said, “Thank you, everyone. My sister and I have been rescued. The military in Okpella has rescued us.”

Similarly, an ex-aide to the Delta State Governor, Harrisson Gwanishu, confirmed that Peace and her Sister have been released.

Gwamnishu wrote, “Peace Onyesom and Gift Onyesom, kidnapped while returning from the call to ceremony in Abuja, have just been released to us near a village in Okpella. It is a tough journey.”

Efforts to get the reaction of the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, Williams Aya, proved abortive as he did not respond to calls made to his line as of the time of filing this report.

PUNCH Online had reported that the Nigerian Police Force Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a post on his X page on Sunday, disclosed that eight of the abducted persons were rescued.

This incident is not the first instance of kidnapping along the Abuja, Kogi, and Benin expressways.

In February, a member of the National Youth Service Corps serving in Ibadan, Oyo State, Rofiat Lawal, was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen along the Benin-Ore Expressway.

Her friend, who identified as Agbakwara, had raised the alarm about Lawal’s abduction, stressing that she was returning from Benin, Edo State, to report to her place of primary assignment in Oyo when she was abducted.

She was, however, released after her family paid a ransom of N1 million.

Similarly, on September 9, the Kogi State Vigilante Services confirmed the abduction of three passengers of an 18-seater Toyota bus at Aku village along the Okene-Lokoja Expressway.
