Peter Obi's Aide Ignorantly Call for Movement of Coys Head Offices from Lagos Telecommunications and Banks are all federal government regulated institutions—should move all their headquarters to Abuja. Abuja is the capital of Nigeria and should host the headquarters of these institutions that serve the country. Lagos has lost is no longer the federal capital of the country. It is now a hostile environment which does not guarantee safety and protection. I will bring out time to explain how it is a problem that must be solved. https://x.com/UchePOkoye/status/1976328854894682491

Dangote reassigns sacked refinery engineers to sugar and cement plants. The company intends to hire new engineers to replace those who have left openings. Internal sources have characterized this redeployment as a significant setback, highlighting that many of the impacted engineers had undergone specialized training overseas. Some of these engineers might also be relocated to work at Dangote operations in other countries. “The workers will move to sugar, cement, and other business units. The company invested heavily in their training, and many of them were part of the commissioning phase. Losing that experience hurts, but protecting the refinery comes first,” an official said. Several engineers who have been impacted by recent changes have already been offered positions by international companies that recognize their skills and expertise. In response to worries about salary inequalities, a consultant clarified that it is typical for there to be differences in pay between expatriate and Nigerian engineers at the beginning phases of substantial projects. A consultant said, “Every new industrial operation brings in global experts before fully transitioning to local staff. Refinery operations differ from upstream oil exploration, so salary structures cannot be compared.” Insiders have revealed that the redeployment process is currently underway and being managed on a case-by-case basis. Once this process is finalized, certain engineers will assume new positions within Dangote’s locations both within Nigeria and internationally. |
“U.S. sanctions make it nearly impossible to pay Iran for its oil. China has figured out how to do it anyway, in an arrangement that has largely been secret,” the Wall Street Journal reports. “The hidden funding conduit has deepened economic ties between the two U.S. rivals in defiance of Washington’s efforts to isolate Iran.” “The barter-like system works like this, according to current and former officials from several Western countries, including the U.S.: Iranian oil is shipped to China—Tehran’s biggest customer—and, in return, state-backed Chinese companies build infrastructure in Iran.” https://politicalwire.com/2025/10/05/how-china-secretly-pays-iran-for-oil/ |

The Presidents speech, i speak to the the economic part only, was clear, direct and specific. He listed 12 specific macroeconomic variables he has positively affected so far, with dates and numbers. I looked at the statements from the opposition, the PDP and the Labor Party statement did not do a clear and specific economic argument to counter the Presidents statements. This is for the record https://x.com/FinPlanKaluAja1/status/1973388040623259983

BREAKING: PENGASSAN has called off its strike following a resolution facilitated by the Federal Government between the Oil and Gas workers and the Dangote Group. During a press briefing today, PENGASSAN President Festus Osifo announced that the Union's National Executive Council held an emergency meeting and decided to pause the strike. This decision aims to allow the process of reinstating the dismissed workers from the Dangote refinery to proceed, as all parties have agreed. Additionally, the suspension serves as a gesture of respect for the Federal Government's persistent efforts in addressing and resolving this dispute. |

Those who criticised Tinubu's visit to Imo State, today, will hail his visit to Abia, on Friday. Mark my word! I'm Francis Ndimkoha. Before the hypocrisy begins, take note of this: The Owerri - Umuahia road, re-constructed by Gov. Hope Uzodimma is not less than 37km stretch (52km precisely), yet people criticise the visit, by throwing Assumpta flyover in the face of people, as though it were the only reason for Tinubu's visit. In any case, Owerri people know how important the Control post flyover is, not just to Imo commuters, but also to interstate road users. Meanwhile, the most important road Tinubu will commission in Abia, on Friday, is the Port Harcourt road, which is not up to 5km. Others are street roads. It's ok, to tarry in hate, but it's an issue when you allow the hate to blind you. — @Saintfrancis11 https://x.com/martinokorowu/status/1973073260557508906
