Politics › Next Week, I Will Be Receiving Some Notable Figures From The ADC. - Yilwatda by blamingthedevil(op): 10:22am On Oct 18, 2025 |
Next week, I will be receiving some notable figures from the ADC. - APC National Chairman, Yilwatda.
Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has announced that several politicians from opposing parties are planning to join the ruling APC soon.
During a meeting with Plateau APC stakeholders held at Crest Hotel in Jos yesterday, Yilwatda shared this.
He said, “Next week, I will be receiving some notable figures from the ADC.
“Some of those who had defected from PDP have reached out to ADC and are now returning to APC. Many of them have completed their ‘medicals’ and will be officially unveiled next week.
“In another two weeks, we will unveil yet another big figure who just finished his own ‘medicals.’
“He tried to unveil himself the day before yesterday, you probably saw it in the news. But officially, we’ll be receiving him soon. More people are coming. More senators are joining; more governors, more members of the National Assembly. The APC is the bride of the moment.
“Thank you so much for all you did—from the very beginning of my loss, through the burial, and even after.May God bless and reward you richly. I must also extend my deepest gratitude for how you stood your ground when we faced the setback at the Supreme Court.
“Many people thought that was the end of APC on the Plateau; that we had been buried politically. But what they didn’t see was the seed that had already been sown. That seed germinated, and today, APC is stronger, more vibrant and growing bigger by the day. https://x.com/Imranmuhdz/status/1979473711255163171

CAF’s decision to discount points earned against the lowest-ranked team in each group — a rule applied after Eritrea’s withdrawal — altered the standings. The adjustment favoured Nigeria, who had only drawn twice with Zimbabwe, the bottom team in their group. The ruling reportedly left Traoré furious and seeking clarity. |

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE OF PARTY MEMBERSHIP TO ALL PRoGRESSIVES CONGRESS
Considering the unpleasant circumstances of the Peoples Democratic Party, of which I have been a member since 1998, and after consultation with my family, associates, and political leaders, have resolved to join the Governor of Bayelsa State, HE Senator Douye Diri, to resign my membership of the Party.
In coming to this decision, I have taken a deep look at the protracted leadership crisis and the division that have resulted from the competition for power within the PDP, especially at the national level. I have lost hope in the capacity of the PDP to play the role of a political party.
While I remained a member of the PDP, I contributed to the growth of the Party, held public positions on its platform, and received love and support of its members and leaders. But over time it has degenerated into an arena of multiple and longstanding court cases.
O Alex Ekwuemel O Solomon Larl The political party you built, which held lofty promise for Nigerians, has fallen into wrong hands. Lacking the principled leadership of those founders, the PDP has become characterised by internal power struggles, irreconcilable conflict and disarray. And there is no one to resolve these problems.
I am therefore left with no option but to resign my membership of the PDP and move to the All Progressives Congress. I am grateful to the Uncommon Transformer and President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, who has providad unconmon love, kindness and leadership in the Senate. Benson Friday Konbowei PhD Senator, Bayelsa Central Senatorial District

PDP suspends two state chairmen for ‘working with APC to derail convention’
The forum of state chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended two members over alleged anti-party activities and attempts to sabotage the party’s forthcoming national convention.
The decision was reached at a meeting held on Tuesday at the party’s FCT secretariat in Abuja, under the chairmanship of Edward Percy Masha, acting secretary of the forum.
The suspended officials are Austine Nwachukwu, chairman of Imo PDP; and Amah Abraham Nnana, chairman of Abia PDP.
The forum accused the duo of colluding with “external forces” allegedly linked to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to disrupt preparations for the national convention scheduled for November 15–16.
In a communique issued after the meeting, the forum described their decision to seek a court injunction to stop the convention as “a betrayal of trust and collective resolve”.
The communique was signed by Tony Aziegbemi, chairman of the forum, and Edward Percy Masha, its secretary.
The forum also announced the appointment of Aziegbemi, chairman of Edo PDP, as the new chairman of the forum.
The party said the meeting deliberated on issues affecting the unity and stability of the party, the state of the opposition across the country, and preparations for the convention.
The forum also condemned what it described as the APC’s “undemocratic and desperate attempts” to pressure PDP governors, lawmakers, and other stakeholders into defecting.
“The ruling party’s conduct amounts to an assault on democracy and a dangerous move toward creating a one-party state,” the communique said.
The forum passed a vote of confidence in the national working committee (NWC), the PDP governors’ forum, and all statutory organs of the party.
It also reaffirmed its commitment to working with the party’s leadership to rebuild and reposition the PDP as a credible alternative ahead of the 2027 elections.
The PDP urged members to remain calm, united, and resolute in defending the party’s values “despite ongoing political distractions”. https://www.thecable.ng/pdp-suspends-two-state-chairmen-for-working-with-apc-to-derail-convention/
