The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, Friday said the Students’ Loan Application system was being designed in a way that there is no interface between the loan administrators and the beneficiaries. Gbajabiamila reiterated that efforts were underway to ensure the take-off of the scheme in January 2024 to ensure that Nigerian students could access the loan “to fund their educational aspirations.” He spoke in Lagos on Friday while delivering the lecture titled, “Empowering Nigerian Youths in the Present Day Economy” at the 35th convocation ceremony of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH). Gbajabiamila said that to make the process seamless, “applicants will apply online, be verified online and credited based on the verifiable documents and credentials they submitted.” He said, “Nobody will need to know anybody to qualify for these loans so that access to this financing will be genuinely egalitarian. https://twitter.com/DeeOneAyekooto/status/1728303471919505831 |

“The surge of migrants entering the United States across the southern border increasingly includes people from a surprising place: China,” the New York Times reports. “Despite the distances involved and the difficulties of the journey, more than 24,000 Chinese citizens have been apprehended crossing into the United States from Mexico in the past year. That is more than in the preceding 10 years combined, according to government data.” https://politicalwire.com/2023/11/24/chinese-migrants-are-crossing-southern-border/ |

White House officials have opened accounts on the social media platform Threads, days after they condemned Elon Musk’s endorsement of antisemitic content in a post on X that provoked outrage and alienated advertisers,” Bloomberg reports. https://politicalwire.com/2023/11/20/white-house-opens-accounts-on-metas-threads/ |
[b][Folks, it's President Biden. You're hearing from me today from a new platform, but my message to you hasn't changed: Right now, we face an inflection point – one of those challenging moments in history where the decisions we make today will determine decades to come. But I don't see a dark, dismal, divided future for America. I see an America about to take off. I'll continue doing everything in my power to meet this moment – and keep you posted along the way.

The problem with Nigeria is US! Saturday, Funsho Doherty showed us the reckless spending of the Lagos State government. Both APC and PDp and obedient condermed the Lagos State government Last week Adeleke illegally removed the chief justice of Osun state, PDP guys kept mute Some months Edo governor practically appointed all the local government chairmen and fired his deputy nobody said nothing in PDp Sunday we found out Alex oti just under 3 months spent over 5 billion (8x budget for education) on government house, spent over 30 billion naira on 6.7 kilo meter rd 😂, Not one obedient is conderming this. And y'all think you are ready for a better Nigeria. Let's just stop at this point. In 2027 if they like let white man become the president of Nigeria I don't care. For now I will only focus on my state and my region. Fighting for Nigeria is a waste of time. https://twitter.com/AderonkeOkeleye/status/1726490073376387307
