Thanks a lot. Been quite depressed for a while. I got what i thought was finally the 'IT' job only to find out i was expecting another child, so random and so out of the blues. Now, everything else is on hold for life to happen.

I remember growing up and thinking we all got our brains from our dad because he was the one that had made it from his humble beginnings, only to see my mum's result. She was a straight A student, even got scholarships and was a branch manager in a bank at a very young age. Was wondering how she ended up a school teacher and then a civil servant in a very lazy parastatal. Ah, see what marriage does to someone and i don't want to be that someone. We had a frank chat and i asked her several of these questions and she says that she is happier now than then.

She was able to be our home lesson teacher, teach us reasonably good English, go for our events, take time off whenever she felt too lazy to go to work, etc. Trying to convince me that this path is the right path. She is happy but i am not. Wish i was a boy maybe that's why i have 3 boys now. So that no one will have this kind of empty feeling.

How about those ones that beg on lekki-epe expressway? There are about 4 women that beg there and 3 of them have twins. The twins have never grown more than how they look. I know a particular woman that begs there every evening. I have seen her at cms early in the morning. I have seen her near Ajao Estate near afternoon then she retires to lekki-epe expressway in the evening. Not seen her in a while, maybe the competition is getting too much. All these women deserve to be arrested and the kids taken away from their mothers.

School fees for 6 kids is about 115k per child. Not too bad in Lagos and definitely not
an expensive school. Seems like the guy is too scared of his wife. Don't understand that kind of relationship so I will pass.

This topic makes me sad that's why i have not commented on the topic.

I wonder why women have to give up their careers or make compromises so that they can balance the two. I look back at the driven young lady that i was and wonder how i ended up here. I remember how i made my husband wait for more than 2 years before i married him just because i wanted a career. What's the point? Could have even married at 18 years and gotten it over and done with.

I look at my colleagues that we started together and when i see them in high posts and compare with myself and where i am, i feel so down. Don't get me wrong, i am blessed with how far i have come but i feel (i know) i could have done more.

My dad taught me that i was more than anyone's equal. I was intelligent, i was diligent and i was hungry for success. I was his carbon copy. But when he called me to his room to tell me to slow down and "make a home", it was the beginning of the end. I am a manger in an international company, earning good pay but feeling very disappointed because i know i could have been a whole lot more. Time out for maternity leave and it means you won't get considered for promotion regardless of how hard you've worked. Left a "stressful" job with prospects for an easier job with barely any, just comfortable pay. Didn't take up better offers because we felt that it would be too stressful on my growing family.

Rant over.

My dear, they sent me their break down. Everything came to #201,000 without transportation for their toddler class. #133,000 is compulsory, while the others are optional (lunch, fruits, after school etc).

It is not a small something. sad
Schooling is now so expensive on the island. Most schools almost doubled their bills this term.

Do you know how much your cousin pays for her kids presently at Kayron?
I don't. However, with the kind of facilities they have, i believe that it would be more than 100k.

What's your point mate, and can you ever stop with this your disgusting practice of making comments just to garner likes?! You comment on 99.9% of the threads on here like a bot, and yet, 99.9% of the comments you make show a glorious exhibition of extreme, barely-lettered idiocy.

A thread created to show appreciation to someone who helped a dying, pregnant lady has now been ambushed by your nonsense.
Because it is obviously a cooked up story. The whatsapp exchange sounded like someone was chatting with himself. Same language construction. Funny that they knew themselves before this issue happened yet he is claiming that it was a stranger. SO many other things that i spotted at first glance.

Thanks ladies. I will be going to check out the Kayron school next week. Any other recommendations after Ajah towards Sangotedo? Don't want to do more than 100k per term for preschool.
Most of these schools are more than 100k a term. Some are close to 200k and over.

Depends on her. Some start at 4 weeks, immediately after lochia, after 6 week check up etc. Depends on her state and how traumatic she felt the delivery was.

I respect people like this. No one knows the owner, quietly making and spending his or her money. If na one of our yeyebrities, the whole world no go hear word again. Their entire blog will be dedicated to the "achievement".
We all heard of the banana island house story. Civilized neighbors next door with bigger ones stayed mellow and maintained their simple life. That's what you get when "money miss road".
I know the owner. The guy na one of the big boy bankers.

That's interesting. I never thought of it that way. I always put no. Assumed it meant compulsory military service the way they have it in Israel and Australia.
Business › Re: Is It Legal To Demand Or Issue Blank Cheques? by blank(f): 11:48am On Jul 19, 2016
Don't try it. Your "friend" is trying to dupe you. No lender will ask you for a blank cheque. What they usually do is to ask for the guarantor to write cheques for the amounts being borrowed. In case your "friend" defaults, na you go pay the gbese. Only guarantee a person that you know is unlikely to default.

LaRochelle:
The disease is really serious oo, and it mostly occurs in female aged 11 - 25. The other day, my sister (14) asked me to snap her with my phone. I refused initially because I was seriously busy with something. When I agreed, that's how she went to wear bum shorts.

When it was time to pose, she first did her perfectly normal legs to be like K-leg (no offence to those with it). She then did another pose where your derriere goes back, and your feet is made to look like an isosceles triangle, whose sides are not joined properly. Then, came the mouth pose as if she wanted to spit out saliva.

I couldn't even preach the "gospel" to her; it's what she sees that she copies embarassed.
So she has been copying from you? undecided

Thank God i married a level headed person. I understand how marriage can make you want to over spend to impress people and leave good memories but it has to be moderated.

If i had thought better. We would have jumped the reception and just gone home. More money for us all.

Wow. Eating while driving is also an offence? How are we expected to eat the snacks sold on the roads in the crazy traffic with two hands on the steering wheel? Just swallow?
Who and who made these types of laws?
It is an offence to buy snacks bought on the roads in traffic. It is punishable by paying a fine of N90,000 or 3 months in prison.

Thanks for noticing what your child is good at and giving him an opportunity(most naija parents wont do this)..
Facebook launched a website to teach children in africa coding in an easy way , but i have forgotten the website, if u can find that website and register him in that program it will be good(as he might be given scholarship).
Thanks. Will search for it.
