Can you bring your child to cchub summer of code
The Summer of Code is a 4 week fun, interactive programme to introduce children aged 5-18 years to computer programming. Through the Summer of Code children learn to design games and animations using Scratch, design websites using HTML and CSS as well as get introduced to programming computer apps and electronics.
Sounds really interesting. Where are you guys located?

How do you resolve problems when the problem is that the other person keeps beating you and spreading false stories about you. Also sleeps around. What's to resolve? If the relationship is no longer working, everyone has the choice to move on.

It's rather silly to blame a good heart! At least you've exposed your weakness!!!
No way. Can't blame a good heart that's why I want you to stop blaming others for your predicament. You were adequately warned before you embarked on your project with him but you are still insisting that no one warned you.

I remember reading your responses then and was wondering how someone could be so stubborn when it concerns money matters. The people I pity are the first ones like ahonai and co with no inkling of what they were getting into. This thread is to serve as a warning ⚠ to others. Anyone who views this thread and still goes ahead to deal should not come out and blame Omonile lawyer for not warning them.

Good day all. Forgive me if it's a silly topic bit I really have no clue where to start from

I noticed that my son is really good at computer games and is quite inquisitive as to how they work. I downloaded some basic coding games for kids for him and he has mastered them and is now bored with them.

I know he needs to learn more to maintain the interest. I don't know where to start. He has consistently won Best in ICT in his class and he is only 5. Is there something I can do to keep him engaged in it during this long vacation? I am out of ideas.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Is Is Advisable For A Fresh Graduate To Attend A Job Interview With His/her Car by blank(f): 7:46am On Jul 13, 2016
I did. This life is once. The thing is that it should be to a certain type/class of interview. If you are applying to a small one man business, the guy might feel Intimidated. If it's to a PWC, Shell, Sahara, they couldn't care less.

However, go earlier so that you can scout for parking space, how the organisation looks etc. Even if the company has parking space for staff and visitors, don't park there. Look for a place around to park.

I don't use make up at all even nude makeup. It makes me break out. I only use it when I am owing for a wedding or something that I know women will judge me.

Going to work, going to hang out, etc, just white powder. My husband loves it that way and I love it as well. Funnily enough, I always have makeup in my bag. Don't know why but I keep it in case I would need it.
Family › Re: The Family Section Fun Room!! by blank(f): 6:10am On Jul 08, 2016
Let me add my 2kobo.

If you don't have the right surnames, they won't be the ones sitting with Adenuga and Tinubu. The best they will have is a very good education and poise which helps in grooming their future.

The kids might even grow with a complex. Even birthday parties of their best friends they won't get invited to as it's usually invitation by family. They won't attend the same events even when you go for summer holidays, it's not to the same places.

I am speaking from experience as my dad hustled to make something of himself and made it big at a very young age because of his intelligence. He made sure we went to the most exclusive schools at that time. It was really horrible growing up then because kids can be so mean.

I hope things are different for our kids now as there are upper middle class people that hustled to make it big and not from old money. I am not carried away by the hype. I just want my kids to have a lovely experience growing up and a good education to boot.

Onegai:
You're correct. But most of us won't pump ( imagine having to pump at 2am, after a long day). Breastfeeding is hard.
I suggested it to her so that she can know how much milk she is giving him. Imagine when a baby is supposed to be on 60ml per feed, you can only produce 40ml for a total of about 3 feeds. I think some women have low supply whilst some have oversupply.
Family › Re: My Baby Eats Too Much. by blank(f): 1:23pm On Jul 04, 2016
Onegai:
Ask yourself this: what does weaning entail? Isn't it when you go long hours without nursing the baby, your milk reduces with time? So going long hours without breastfeeding to measure the amount of milk produced is counter-productive. Because your body will assume the baby slept through the night and doesn't need to eat so much, so will adjust milk production to reduce. If your SiL had pumped at night, she would have produced more milk the next day. You have to empty the breasts of milk so it produces more: if you don't, the body will assume whoever is drinking the milk doesn't need as much and reduce production. That is the same theory behind Weaning: don't feed baby as much, baby stops drinking and the body stops producing.

Exclusive Breastfeeding is hard. Baby E woke up one day and flat-out refused to drink 5 different brands od formula (she still hates it till today). It was either she starved or I worked on my milk supply.
I understand you but you have to pump out what was not sucked out before. Weaning is not an immediate process. It takes a while. So if you normally breastfeed at night and then you don't breastfeed that night, your boobs should be full before it starts reacting to less sucking at night. That's what usually happens to me. They will be like rocks.

In as much as i would have liked them to be omo-onile, i have to concede that they are army recruits. Omo-onile will hardly ask for money as small as N65,000. N65,000 is the entry salary for army recruits. Towards the end, you will see a sign on the gate that showed that it was in army quarters.
Family › Re: My Baby Eats Too Much. by blank(f): 1:02pm On Jul 04, 2016
@ Onegai, i am just hearing about soy milk not being safe for babies. I thought it was an alternative to cow milk especially if the baby is lactose intolerant. There are Soy based milks like ISOMIL, etc.

@Yomieluv, Some women don't just produce enough milk for the baby. My sister in law was same. Her baby was always sucking and he was loosing weight. After 2 weeks, she decided to express milk and see how much we was producing and it was less than 30ml combined. It was then she started mixed feeding and her baby started adding weight and didn't suck as much. One night that she ensured that she didn't breastfeed throughout and then expressed in the morning, all told was between 40 and 45ml.

I have one picture of my kids falling asleep in a funny place. It was time for them to have their siesta but they kept insisting that they weren't sleepy. So I told them to play a game and see who could keep quiet the longest.

Got back to the room and one had fallen asleep in the lower wardrobe whilst the other fell asleep half on the bed and half off. Very hilarious picture.
