THEY WILL WORK FOR YOU

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When Peter came to the venue where his brethren prayed on his behalf, a servant named Rhoda heard Peter’s knock at the door and notified the brethren. Rhoda was doing her work as a servant; she was doing what was expected of her, and in the process, the brethren were reunited with Peter.

Peter was the reason why the church prayed, they wanted to have him back, and Rhoda made it possible. While doing her job, she notified everyone that the answer to their prayers was at the door; while doing her job, she became the carrier of good news to the rest of the people.

Friend, God says, as people do their jobs, they will play roles that will favour you. As people take decisions and carry out their businesses, they will bring your miracles closer to you; as people fulfill their assignments in life, and carry out daily tasks, they will play roles that will help you.

Rhoda didn’t know it was Peter when she heard the knock at the door, when she got to the door, she discovered it was him. Without planning it, Rhoda brought the good news of Peter’s presence while doing her job.

Some people who will play roles that will favour you may not know that they are acting in your favour, you may not send them, but they will do it as part of their work. You may not expect anything from some people, but God will reach you through them.

Ask God to cause men to favour you and work for your destiny as they do their jobs. Ask God to use people around you and even people far from you as servants to work in your favour.

Prayer : Lord, as people do their work, they will work in my favour, in Jesus’ name!Amen .

Good evening all conquerors in the thread next week thursday the 25th of june is renunciation and sat the 27th is deliverance day and the almighty God in his mightiness will be delivering people himself ,so for people that r coming or ur friends ,sisters ,brothers or relatives that are coming should be in fasting from next week monday to saturday that is the deliverance day ,so dey should take note of the date....may our coming not be in vain in jesus mighty name ,Amen

DESTINY INFORMANTS

“And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.” (Acts 12: 13)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

As people prayed for Peter’s release and return from prison, they had no idea that God sent an angel to set him free. They didn't know that the miracle they were praying for had happened; they had no idea that God had intervened; they had no idea that their prayers were already answered.

Peter eventually came and knocked at the door, and Rhoda- a servant- hearkened to Peter’s knock. Their answer arrived, and Rhoda discovered it. They made prayers, God brought the answer, and Rhoda linked them to their answer. Rhoda was the bridge between their prayers and the answer.

Friend, God will send you men who will be the bridge between your prayers and answers. God will send you men who will connect you to your portion. God will send you men who will open your eyes to what God has already given you. God will send you people who will open the door and bring in your good news when it arrives.

Rhoda didn’t free Peter from prison, but she brought the information of his release to those who prayed. Destiny informants may not do much; they might just do little or bring strategic information that will make a huge difference.

If good news arrives and no one opens the door, you may not see or enjoy it. If there are no destiny informants around you, opportunities and jobs may be available, people may need your skills and services, but you may not hear about it until you miss out.

Ask God to send you destiny helpers and informants who will bring your good news when it is available. Ask God to send you men who will be the bridge between your prayers and answers. Ask God to send men who will connect you to your portion.

Prayer : Lord, send me men who will be a bridge between my prayers and answers, in Jesus

IT WILL LOCATE YOU

When Peter was imprisoned by Herod, the church prayed for his release. Some people took it upon themselves to pray for Peter’s release. The miracle they desired was Peter's release. Peter was the reason why they prayed; Peter was the answer to their prayers.

Peter later came to the place where people were praying for him. The miracle they prayed for came and located them; the answer to their prayers came to their door step. Their miracle came and found them. Their miracle came to their location.

Friend, are there miracles you have been praying for? Are there deep desires of your heart that have made you seek God like never before? Are there prayers you have made, and you can see the answers but they are beyond your reach?

God says, your miracle will locate you at your door step. The answers to your prayers will come to you; opportunities and open doors you have been looking for will come to your doorstep; destiny helpers and people you have been desperate to meet will come to meet you. Miracles will locate you at your home, workplace, church, etc.

You may have done your bit, sowed the necessary seeds, made applications, sent in proposals, and done the much that you can possibly do, yet you are empty handed. In this season, for everything that is beyond your reach, God will cause it to come to you. Your miracles will find you out.

Remember, they prayed for their miracle, and their miracle found them. Pray for that miracle you desire, and God will cause it to find you.

Psalm 16 vs. 6 sums it up: “The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.”

Prayer : Lord, I will keep praying; may my miracles find me out, in Jesus’ name: Amen

STAY CONNECTED

“11. And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me… 12. ...he came to the house of Mary… where many were gathered together praying.”

When Peter came to himself and realized that God had delivered him out of the hands of Herod, he went to the house where the brethren were praying for him. An angel led Peter out of prison, and Peter’s first decision was to reconnect with people who prayed for his release.

Peter reconnected to people whose prayers laid the foundation for divine intervention. He experienced divine intervention and gravitated towards people with whom he shared a common goal and purpose. After his release, he reconnected to his destiny partners.

Friend, when you receive divine intervention and miracles, always connect to spiritual principles that made the difference, and also reconnect with those with whom you share a common goal and purpose.

When God gives you resounding testimonies, it's not an excuse to walk away from destiny partners, neither is it an excuse to walk into unprofitable relationships. Every release from heaven should take you closer to your purpose. Every miracle should take you to a closer relationship with God.

If you discard spiritual principles, positive relationships and values responsible for your progress, you are making a huge mistake that will backfire sooner than later. If their prayers set you free, you still need them around you.

If intense prayers, commitment to God, chastity, consecration, consistency, discipline, etc worked for you before your breakthrough, remember to stay connected to them.

Prayer : Lord, give me wisdom to reconnect to values and relationships that work for me, in Jesus’ name: Amen

FOLLOW JESUS

“9. And he went out, and followed ...the angel… 10. …they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out…”
(Acts 12: 9, 10)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

As Peter left the prison, he was led by an angel, and when they came to an iron gate that led into the city, the gate opened on its own. Peter did not pray for the gate to open. He did not make efforts to open the gate. The gate bowed to the angel that was sent from God.

Friend, follow Jesus, and submit yourself to heaven’s leadership. Submit your attitudes, behaviours, ideas, visions, plans, etc to the leadership and supremacy of Jesus. Let Jesus lead you in your thoughts, actions, attitudes, relationships, etc; Be submissive to God’s wishes; follow the Master and do His bidding. Always allow Jesus to be ahead of you in all things.

If you follow Jesus in all your ways, doors you can't open by yourself will open unto you. If you submit your attitudes, behaviour, lifestyle, etc to Jesus, doors that are shut against you shall open to you, doors in high places shall open freely unto you, and you will get a free passage in places where you couldn’t pass in the past.

If you are not submissive to the leadership of Jesus, you may meet closed doors when it matters most, and you may end up being a big loser when the chips are down.

If your lifestyle is not in sync with God’s leadership in your life, your life may end up being a tale of human efforts without divine support.

Ask God to lead you in all your ways. Submit yourself to heaven’s leadership, and doors will be freely opened unto you.

Romans 8: 14 says: “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

Prayer : Lord, lead me in all my ways; and as I follow You, may doors freely open to me, in Jesus’ name!:Amen

LIKE A DREAM

“And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.”

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When Peter was thrown into prison, he was kept in the midst of soldiers. He was tied to two soldiers on either side. There were lots more soldiers standing and watching over the prison. Peter had no chance of escape, humanly speaking. It was impossible to stage a prison break in that circumstance.

Despite the soldiers, an angel came to Peter’s rescue, broke the chains and took him out of the prison, while the soldiers were present. Peter thought he was seeing a vision, but it was real. The soldiers may have thought it was a vision too, but it was real and it happened before their very eyes.

Friend, God says, you shall have divine attention and intervention that will look too good to be true. You shall have testimonies that will sound like a lie. You will experience breakthroughs that will make you think you are dreaming. You shall experience favours which will thoroughly amaze people around you, haters and all. God will grant you open doors that will shock you and everyone around you.

Your haters are about to witness miracles in your life that will look impossible, yet so real. The things that God will do for you will look like a movie to all who see it. Your next set of miracles will confuse and confound every spectator in your destiny.

Don’t lose sleep because of haters; they more they look at your life, they more they will be confused by what God is doing for and in you. They will see it, but they can’t stop it; they will see it, but they will think it is not true.

Psalm 126 vs. 1 sums it up: “When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.”

Prayer : Lord, what You will do for me shall thoroughly shock people around me, in Jesus’ name! Amen

When the angel came to release Peter from prison, Peter had to put on his clothes and sandals. Peter's clothes and sandals were obviously taken off when he was imprisoned. Ordinarily, prison wardens usually take off and seize the clothes of prisoners. Peter’s possessions were taken off him.

Peter did not go far to find his clothes and sandals when the angel arrived; he just put them on. So the clothes and sandals were actually around him. What was taken away from him was still around him; what he lost to the enemy was still around him. What was taken from Peter was close.

Friend, hear God’s prophetic word: everything the enemy stole from you is close by. Every opportunity you lost is still hanging around; every help you lost is still around you; every possession of yours that is in the hands of another man is still around you. You won’t need to go far to recover your losses.

What you lost is around the corner; the profitable relationships you lost are still hovering around you; whatever is missing in your life has not gone far; you won’t need to look too far for it, and you will find it. It may seem lost, but it is still in the house.

The soldiers and prison wardens were still there when Peter took his clothes and sandals. God says, those who took your possessions may still be there, and you will recover all. Your loss is temporary, it will be reversed; what you lost is close by.

Deuteronomy 30 vs. 3 (MSG) captures it aptly: “God, your God, will restore everything you lost; he’ll have compassion on you; he’ll come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered”

Praye: Lord, everything I lost is still around me, in Jesus’ name: Amen

When the angel of the Lord came to the prison where Peter was kept, he didn’t start by taking Peter out of prison; he first broke Peter’s chains and shone a great light in the prison; the angel also raised Peter up. Peter was still in prison but God was already at work in and around him.

After breaking Peter’s chains and shining a great light in the prison, the angel led Peter out of prison. The angel worked on Peter, and then took Peter out of his negative location. God worked on Peter where no one could see, and then manifested him where everyone was watching.

Friend, if God works on you where no one is watching, He will manifest you where men can see you. If God teaches you patience, longsuffering, consistency, commitment, prayerfulness, etc in your dark corner, you will get your day in the spotlight. If God deals with your weaknesses whilst you are still in ‘prison’, He will manifest you outside the ‘prison’.

It’s not enough to desire change around you; allow God to change you first from within. God may allow your ‘prison’ experience in order to make you better; God can use the dark moments in your destiny to usher in His light into your life. What men call your ‘prison’ might just be your place of divine, supernatural encounter.

Never go through a ‘prison’ without letting God work on you; don't go through dark moments without seeing a new light and new understanding from God. Life has seasons; allow God to use each season to prepare you for future manifestation.

Prayer : Lord, work on me in my ‘prison’, and manifest me where men will see me, in Jesus’ name! Amen

GOD IS AT WORK

When Herod arrested Peter, he cast him into prison, and put him in chains. A prison is a place of suffering and bondage; a prison environment is negative, depressing, discouraging, and is not worth looking forward to. The prison is a place of pain.

As Peter was in prison, the angel of the Lord came upon him, a great light shone in the prison, and the chains on his hands fell off. Peter’s chains were broken and the darkness of the prison was overtaken by a great light. God was already working and things were changing while Peter was in prison.

Friend, you may still be in your ‘prison’, but God is already working in and around you. You may not have experienced miracles and change that will attract attention, but God is already breaking your bondage, changing your fortunes, and working on your faith, confidence, tenacity, resilience, countenance, ideas, etc. You may not have relocated, but God is changing you in your location.

You may not have changed location or changed jobs or got married or have your own children yet, you may not have experienced miracles that will attract a celebration, you may not have received your desired results, etc, but God is working in you where you are. In places where nothing positive is expected, God is at work.

Any man who wants to judge you should find out what God is doing in you. Your change may not begin externally, but it can begin internally; the absence of external manifestation does not invalidate the internal change God is already bringing in you.

Appreciate what God is doing in you even if no man has noticed.

Prayer : Lord, work in me even in my ‘prison’, in Jesus’ name! Amen

DEVIL CAME LATE

“And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.”
(Acts 12: 6)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When Herod imprisoned Peter, he planned to bring him out after Easter and kill him like he killed James. Herod appointed a time for the evil plan he hatched against Peter. He set a time for his evil machinations against Peter. Herod prepared evil against Peter, waiting for implementation time.

The night before Herod’s plan would be fulfilled, divine intervention came to Peter. Herod was still preparing evil against Peter, but divine intervention came before him. God outsmarted Herod; God arrived before Herod, and though Herod's plans were intact, he came late after God freed Peter.

Friend, are there evil plans that enemies have hatched against you? God says, your ‘Herod’ will come late. Divine intervention will come before the wicked plans against you materialize. Before they demote you or get a chance to hurt you, God will take you beyond their reach.

If the enemy didn’t kill you when you were born, or reduce your life to rubbles when he tried in the past, he is late already, he can’t kill or reduce you now; if your marriage didn’t collapse when the enemy struck, if you haven’t lost your job despite the conspiracies, if you still find a reason to smile, etc, then devil came late.

Peter was vulnerable when Herod made his plans, but he was rescued by angels before Herod could strike. Forget those who think you are vulnerable; angels are on guard; Herod is late already.

Psalm 124 vs. 7 sums it up: “Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.”

Prayer : Lord, I am beyond the reach of the enemy, the devil came late, in Jesus’ name! Amen

YOU'RE NOT IN THEIR HANDS

“And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.”

When Herod arrested Peter, he planned to bring him forth to the people. In Herod's reign, presenting someone to the people was a chance for the people to condemn the person to death, like they did to Jesus. Herod’s plan was to put Peter’s life in the hands of people. Herod planned to make Peter a victim of the people.

Peter’s life was not in the hands of Herod; it was in God's hands, and God didn’t allow Peter to be a victim of the people. God didn’t allow men who thought they had Peter in their palms to have the final say. God didn't allow Peter’s destiny to be truncated by someone who wielded political power.

Friend, God says, your destiny is not in the hands of any man. Your future is not in the hands of enemies of destiny; your progress and success are not dependent on any man who is playing god in your life; the heights you will eventually attain, and who you will eventually become, does not depend on those ahead of you. You won’t be a victim of the crowd.

Are there men who are playing god, or boasting that you can't make it without them? Are your superiors using their positions to work against you? God says, no man will have the last laugh in your life. No wicked decision against you will prevail over you. Nobody will stone or reduce you.

Your life is hid in Christ and Christ in God. Don't see any man as ruler of your life. Honour and respect the kings of this world, but if they start to play god, relax, you won't be their victim.

Commit your life into God's hands and no enemy of your destiny will make you a victim.

Prayer : Lord, my life is in Your hands; I won't be a victim of any man, in Jesus’ name!Amen
