PRAY ON

“And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.”

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, Jesus prayed, and the fashion of His countenance was altered. Something supernatural happened to Jesus as He prayed. No mention was made of Jesus’ prayer point. He prayed in order to communicate with God; He isolated Himself and spoke to God; He communed with God.

Friend, when you pray, just talk to God; commune with your Father. Prayer is about communion with God; it’s all about talking to a God with whom you share a relationship; when you pray, you are talking to your Maker. Prayer is not about your posture or the loudness of your voice; it is about talking to your Father.

If you get into prayers and you are not happy, share your feelings with your Father. If you feel bad or broken or dejected, don’t pretend because God already knows what is going on within you. When you pray, don't seek to impress God with your words; just empty yourself before Him.

God hears the prayers of those who are open, broken and contrite before Him. He doesn’t hear you because of the multitude of your words or because He is impressed with what you said. He answers prayers because it is His nature, and He does so because He is a Father, our Father.

Note this: if you won’t like to be spoken to only when there is a need, then God doesn’t want you to pray only when there is a request or prayer point.

When next you pray, communicate with your Father. Go beyond your needs and speak to God. Pray and speak in tongues everywhere- at home, in the shower, in the traffic, everywhere. God is available to hear you whenever and wherever you call.

Prayer : Lord, help me to commune more effectively with You, in Jesus name! Amen

YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IT

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

On the day of transfiguration, Jesus took three disciples and went to the mountain. Other disciples heard about what happened, but Peter, John and James experienced it. Others could only hear or imagine the experience; but for those who were chosen, they didn’t need to imagine it, they saw it.

Friend, hear God’s prophetic word: you will experience what others hear about; for every awesome experience that others dream of, you will witness it. You will step into heights that others dream of. You will experience miracles that others hear as mere tales. You will be the embodiment of remarkable experiences, and others will hear the stories through your life.

You will get jobs, drive cars, receive favours and step into levels that people around you have only heard or dreamt about; you will give firsthand testimonies of open doors. For others, it will be like stories; for you, it will be an experience. You won’t be a story teller; your life will be full of positive experiences and divine evidence.

Peter, James and John were chosen from among the disciples. God says, among your contemporaries, colleagues, peers, etc, you will be called out and you will experience what others will hear as stories. You may be like them, but your experience will be better than theirs.

David prayed in Psalm 86 vs. 17 (NKJV): “Show me a sign for good, That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, Because You LORD have helped me and comforted me”.

Ask God to give you experiences that others will hear about. Ask God to put you in the class of those who will not just hear it but will experience it.

Prayer : Lord, I shall not just hear it, I shall see it with my own eyes, in Jesus name ,Amen

I want to still use this oppotunity to urge every one that has been coming to cct ,and God has done one or more than one thing for u ,tell ur friends ,ur sisters ,brothers, neigbour. ,invite them to cct God is there and he is using his servant to do wonders in the mist of his children ,I am a testimony when I came I was having promise and fail ,any relationship I go into ,I am like a man to them the relationship don't last and I was having serious bad dreams seeing a man and children but today it is a pass issue ,I sleep well ,dream good dreams and I remember all my drems ,is God not awesome .pls share that thing God has done for u ,u may not know who u r saving by sharing the testimony ...there are so many people that r having cases lik urs or mine ,let's stop visiting were we r not suppose to visit and face God because is only God that can save ,he has save me he will save u that is if only u will open the door of ur heart and allow him to ride ur boat ,...CCT -- God is Not wicked

This one I want to share now is very touching ,is about a woman that has been married for 15yrs and she is carring a pragnacy for two years now ...just imagine this world is too wicked .
The woman mother is the one responsible for her daughter problem. Just because she gave to this woman and went to marry another man and he didn't tell the man that she have a child before for another man ,but this lady was abandon by the mother for so many years and after the father died some years ago she decided to go and look for the mother that she didn't know was the cause of the issue she is going though in her husband house for so many years ,the mother don't want her to give birth to any child but along the line she became pRagnat and the mother was so angry and took her case to her witch craft and a spiritual stone was place in her worm to block the baby from coming out ,she has been praying going from church to church for solUction until she was invited to cct were God open her case file and attended to her and also deliver her toDay ...
When the man of God summon the mother spirit after service today u need to see drama that took place in cct ,the mother say is not only her that did it ,that she have a leader in charge of the case ,and the leader was also summon to cct and u need to see fight Between the two witches ,that is the mother and the leader. Of the witches dey refuse to release the woman ,after fighting she was finally release. Along with. Her glory that was also taken from her and to cut the story short she was set free by her mother after she beg her mother spirit ,and the mother also plead to the leader of the witches and also shouting at her that the daughter has suffered too long ,that she didn't do any thing to her is because she hate the father ,so she pass the anger to the daughter....I belive God will deliver her baby by his grace before nxtweek service ....praise the lord

The second one I want to share is about a guy. That his result was hidden by some strong man in the family because he was also dedicated to them and he refuse to serve them ,instead he went to trow the gods dey worship and the strong man was angry and dey decide to show him lesson by seizing his result and delaying him and turning him to a drunkard ...before I continue let us talk this prayer point
(1) Oh God of elisha let my head not suffer for what I know nothing about ,in jesus name ..(2)my God ,my God. Fright my battle on my behalf in jesus name...
This guy case was open whn he was in 3rd level in school but because he didn't follow it up it was lik that ,and now that he has graduated and was suppose to be in service his result is no were to be found ,but thank God for the God of my father servant david ,that is not wicked ,his case file was ope again the day of renunciation and the strong man that manifested says he won't let him go because he trow the idol dey worship in his father house ,so dey decide to teach him a lesson by hiding his result and making him useless ...but after todays deliverance he was set free and free for ever ,his result was release and every other things restore back to him ...mThank u lord

The first one I want to share is about a lady that all the first daugter in her family has been dedicated to their gods ,and this lady is the first lady in her family and lik every others first female in her family was also single and have been having so many disappointment and delay ...when the man of God was praying the strong man holding her says he won't refuse her go because she has been dedicated. To them from birth ,that he won't let her go or settle down to marry ...her case is also like my own that d strong man that manifested says si was dedicated to them . God is not wicked and he is still available to deliver ,he that started that in the life of this sister will complete it and turn it to testimony.....I will return to share another

YOU WILL BE CHOSEN

When Jesus decided to go to the mountain to pray, He took Peter and John and James. Jesus chose three of His disciples. There were no criteria for selection. Among His disciples, there was a doctor (Luke), there was a tax collector, and other professionals, but He chose Peter, John and James.

Peter, James and John were fishermen. In Bible Times, most fishermen were peasants. Jesus had a great crop of disciples, but He chose the peasants among them. He chose the least of the brethren. There were not as qualified as others, but He chose them. They were not the best, but He chose them.

Friend, God says, you will be chosen. You may not be the best, you may not have the best background, you may not be the most connected, you may not have what others have, people around you may be better than you, but God says, you will be chosen ahead of the crowd. You will be favoured above others.

When God’s favour is upon a man, protocols will be broken, doors will open with ease, and difficult things shall be made easy. When God remembers you for good, even if the odds are not in your favour, you will still be chosen. When God chooses you, no man, no hater can reject you.

1 Samuel 2 vs. 8 says: ” He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S...”.

Don't disqualify yourself because of what you don’t have. When favour speaks, it may not be fair to everyone, but it will be fair to you. When favour speaks, you will be chosen ahead.

Prayer : Lord, favour shall speak for me, and I shall be chosen ahead of others, in Jesus’ name! Amen

WALK IN PERFECTION

“... eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.”

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, eight days after His teachings, Jesus took three of His disciples to the mountain. The transfiguration experience happened on the eighth day. Eight is preceded by seven. In biblical numerology, seven stands for perfection, while eight stands for super abundance.

So before Jesus gave His disciples an amazing experience on the eighth day, He made them go through a seventh day; before super abundance, and before the transfiguration, He gave them a walk of perfection. Perfection was in place before super abundance came.

Don’t we often desire super abundance without being perfect? Sometimes we desire positions and privileges that outweigh our character and moral credentials; we desire jobs that exceed our competence; sometimes, we skip perfection, yet desiring amazing miracles.

Beloved, if God does not perfect you, He may not bring you into abundance. If you don’t get it right in matters of faith, discipline, consistency, commitment, prayers, dedication, devotion, etc, you may never step into lasting greatness and relevance. God may not commit treasures into your hands if you don’t walk in perfection.

Dare to be perfect. Get it right in your prayer life, devotion to God, sacrificial giving, competence, effectiveness, etc; build up your faith through God’s word; improve your attitudes, skills, consistency, reliability, hard work, etc.

Hebrews 1 vs. 9 says: “Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows”.

If you are in love with imperfection, God may shut the doors of abundance against you.

Prayer: Lord, help me to be perfect, and bring me into abundance, in Jesus’ name!.Amen

SUPER ABUNDANCE

In our Focal Scripture, Jesus took Peter, John and James to the mountain to pray. That experience happened eight days after Jesus' teachings. Eight is preceded by seven. In biblical numerology, seven stands for perfection. So Jesus didn't bring that awesome experience at a perfect time. He gave it on the eighth day.

Also in biblical numerology, eight stands for super abundance. So Jesus didn't bring the transfiguration at a ‘perfect’ time; He brought it at a time of ‘super abundance’. The perfect time (seventh day) wasn't Jesus' appointed time, but His appointed time was super abundance.

Beloved, are there expectations you have waited for, and they didn’t happen at the perfect health? Has the perfect time come and passed, yet that marriage, child birth, new job, car, house, answers to prayers, expectations, etc didn’t come to reality? Does it appear that the perfect time for your miracle has passed?

God says, when your miracle comes, it will come with super abundance, it will come with a big bang, and everyone will hear and talk about it; your miracle will be so unique that people will testify that they have not seen anything like it before. When God embarrasses you with His goodness at His own time, it will sound like a lie.

When your expectation comes, you will be the envy of many, you will be in the news for the right reasons, and both friends and foes will hear about what God has done in your life.

Don’t feel bad or give up when your expectations are delayed; it may not come at the perfect time, but it will come with super abundance.

Prayer : Lord, though it doesn’t happen at the perfect time, may my expectations come with super abundance, in Jesus’ name! Amen

SPEAK LIFE

In Luke 9 vs. 22, Jesus spoke of how He would be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and how He would be killed, and rise again on the third day. Jesus was a mortal at this stage, He wore flesh and blood, and His sayings which our Focal Scripture referred to, were about His death and resurrection.

Moses and Elijah later came and spoke to Jesus about His death. Moses and Elijah didn't have flesh and blood at this stage, they had dropped mortality and put on immortality, and they affirmed what Jesus said about Himself. What Jesus said as a mortal being was affirmed by immortality.

Beloved, what you say concerning yourself will be enforced by God. Your prophetic declarations about yourself will be confirmed and established by heaven. What you say to God about yourself is what He will do for you. If you speak positive things, God will confirm it; if you speak negative things, God may also confirm it.

Instead of using your tongue to destroy your destiny, use it to build. Speak positive things about yourself and others; even if things around you seem negative, declare positive words; when you don’t see what you like, declare what you want to see.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”. Your positive confessions and prophetic declarations may seem like a joke to those who don’t understand the power of the tongue, but if you speak life, you shall have heaven’s confirmation.

Numbers 14 vs. 28 sums it up: "...As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:"
Prayer: Lord, may my positive prophetic declarations receive heaven’s confirmation, in Jesus’ name! Amen

He gets up in the morning, mutters thoughtless prayers and zooms off for his day's activities....He is used to HIM.

He knows what is wrong and clearly walks into it, telling himself that HE would definitely do nothing to him; He is used to HIM.

He mistakes HIS Love for Weakness and imagines his invisibility to mean absence...He is used to HIM.

He ignores HIS call, puts others before HIM; most times, even try to deny HIM when it matters most...He is used to HIM.

Some days, he wonders where his Passion, Zeal, Prayer Life, Consecration went to...he didn't have to worry about it too much, afterall, he won't even complain ...He is used to HIM.

Wait a minute, he has stopped hearing HIM speak; doesn't bother about his direction and totally neglects his instruction...He is used to HIM.

Where did your Passion go to? What about your Midnight Prayers? Remember times when you cried for MORE OF HIM. It was never about your request list. Wait a minute... Did you really go back to the things you said you would not do....He is used to HIM.

He shows up trying to claim a relationship with HIM which he knows he doesn't have anymore. He deceives everyone to think he still stands, but he knows he can't deceive himself and HIM...He is used to HIM.

He wants his Works not a Walk with HIM. He desires his acts but not HIS ways. He remembers HIM only in crisis moments and forgets HIM when all is good again.

Now, HE speaks:

Child, how did I hurt you?
The Life I gave you or the good things of life I made available to you?
How many times will you continue to hurt me and go against my will?

My hands are open wide to forgive you if you can ask me right now. You may not account for the next minute. Everything in life will melt and fade but my LOVE never goes away...I may not have hurt You yet but I hate sin and will definitely judge it.

Child, come home. I AM HE...THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL. JEHOVAH IS MY NAME...

GOD IS IN CHARGE

When Peter’s brethren heard that Peter had arrived, they were in disbelief. In Bible Times, the monarch authorized the detention and release of prisoners. So Peter’s brethren were waiting to hear Herod’s announcement of Peter’s release; they were waiting for Herod to authorize Peter’s release.

Herod was posing as king and acting like the one who had the final say, when God released Peter from prison. Herod was still in charge, but God bypassed him to release Peter. It was not by Herod’s proclamation; it was by divine intervention; God was fully in charge.

Friend, your desire won’t come by the proclamation of men; it will come by divine proclamation. God won't wait for the kings of this world before releasing your greatness and portion to you; your greatness and portion will come by the hand of God. God will bypass the kings of this world to do what He wants to do for you.

God will bypass your boss to prosper you; God will bypass your enemies and their wicked plots to make you prominent; God will bypass kings to give you what kings won't give you freely; God will bypass systems and protocols to fulfill His wishes for you.

It won’t be by the proclamation of Herod; it will be by God’s word. You won’t be at the mercy of kings; it shall come to you by God’s mercy and grace. When men think they can hold you to ransom, laugh at them because they will not have the final word.

When men put you in their prison, relax, the Owner of the Universe is on your side; Jehovah is in charge.

Psalm 2 vs. 4 sums it up: “He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.”

Prayer : Lord, I believe Your word; my life is not at the mercy of ‘Herod’, in Jesus’ name! Amen

When Peter arrived the venue where brethren prayed for him, Rhoda saw that it was Peter, she told the others, but they didn't believe. The brethren accused Rhoda of being mad; they suggested that it was Peter’s ghost; the answer to their prayers came to them, but they didn’t open the door.

Despite their delay, Peter continued knocking. He was the answer to their prayers and he refused to walk away. They prayed to see him, he came, they argued, but he didn't walk away. The answer that came to the brethren was tied to them and they didn't miss it despite their needless delays.

Sometimes we miss opportunities, lose job offers, miss chances to do brisk business, etc because we were called and we delayed. Opportunities may even walk away from us because we didn't act fast. Sometimes, doors that are already opened for us are shut because we didn’t enter immediately.

Friend, hear God’s word of grace: your portion will not walk away from you. The answers to your prayers will not walk away from you; the opportunities God has brought your way won't walk away and be given to another; the space that God created for you at the top won't be given to another person; God says, your portion is tied to you, and it can't walk away.

Peter was the answer to the prayers of the brethren, and walking away was not an option. By God’s mercies, your portion will not have the option of walking away. Like Peter, they will remain at your door until you open the door.

Psalm 16 vs. 5 sums it up: “The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.”

Prayer : Lord, my portion is reserved; it will not walk away, in Jesus’ name: Amen

DESTINY HELPERS

“And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so...”
(Acts 12: 15)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When Rhoda pointed out to the brethren that Peter was at the door, they refused her counsel. They even said she was mad. They felt she didn’t know what she was saying. They underrated Rhoda. Rhoda was a mere servant, and the brethren may have felt she should not be taken seriously.

Despite their assertion that it was not Peter, Rhoda insisted and affirmed that it was Peter. They called her a mad girl, but she didn’t give up. She insisted on the information she gave them. She was a destiny helper that may have been underrated, but she remained insistent.

Sometimes, we mistakenly underrate the destiny helpers that God has positioned around us. We often make the mistake of taking some people seriously because we feel they have something to offer, and we take others less seriously because we feel they have nothing to offer.

Friend, God says, when your destiny helpers arrive, they won't walk away, they will insist until they achieve what God sent them to achieve in your life. Your destiny helpers won't stop until they help you to rise higher; they won't stop until you get your portion; they won't stop until you get that job; they won't stop until God uses them to bring you divine answers. Your destiny helpers will be insistent.

On the flipside, be careful not to underrate any man. You may never know the person or people that God will use to bless you. You may never know the servants of today who have information that can take you higher.

You may never know the subordinates of today who will link you to your next level tomorrow. You may never know who God will use as your next destiny helper.

Prayer : Lord, my destiny helpers will insist on helping me; give me wisdom to never underrate any man, in Jesus’ name! Amen

THEY MUST WORK

“13. And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. 14. And when she knew Peter's voice, she ... told how Peter stood before the gate.”
(Acts 12: 13, 14)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

When the brethren gathered to pray on behalf of Peter, they wanted Peter to live and not die like James. They wanted to see Peter; the goal of their prayers, and their desire, was Peter’s release.

Peter later arrived at the house, and Rhoda heard the knock and informed Peter's brethren. Rhoda was a servant, apparently part of her work was to check who was at the door; she did her work, and Peter was reunited with people who prayed for him.

Sometimes, there are people around us and people connected to us who are not doing their work, and because of their inaction, we are stagnated. Some destiny helpers connected to us just do nothing and say nothing on our behalf. Sometimes, they have what it takes to act, but unlike Rhoda, they simply refuse to act.

Friend, hear God’s prophetic word: the destiny helpers in your life must do their work. Those that God has strategically positioned to assist you must do what God wants them to do so that you can move forward. Those that have a role to play so that you can get employed, move higher, receive financial increase, etc will play their respective roles and deliver your package to you. God says, they must do their work.

If Rhoda did not do her work, the brethren may have continued praying, not knowing that their answer was at the door. If people refuse to do their work in your life, your destiny may remain stagnated from year to year.

Ask God to compel every destiny helper He has sent to you to do their work. Ask God to force every man on assignment in your life to deliver results to you.

Prayer: Lord, compel my destiny helpers to do their work and play necessary roles, in Jesus’ name! Amen
