Saturday 19th May I was about sleeping when I realized I was having waist pains slept and woke up midnight 20th with contractions but the timing weren't consistent.The pains continued till morning then hubby asked me to go take a warm bath and we proceeded to the hospital. On getting there the contractions had stopped and my sister already told me it Will reverse cos of the bath.I got to the hospital and the nurse checked me and said I was 2cm at that point i wasn't feeling anything any more so we just checked in and decided to monitor things.
A Dr came in around 10am and was told I was 2cm and he said I can't give birth that day I will be induced after 8hrs hmmm induction how?My sister told him she is always like that before they know it she gives birth.That statement angered the Dr o and he left.From that morning till night nobody came to check or attend to me. My sister left in the evening and I was left alone after enough walking for hours I went to rest.The Dr came back around 10pm at night for ward round and checked everyone except me,I noticed he was offended by the statement my sister made and something told me i should just swallow my pride and call him.which I.Immediately I said Dr you've checked everyone except me he said your mother said you will give birth in the next few hrs I would have induced you in the afternoon,i was like hmmm so I should just be here without anyone attending to me?He now said I will check you when am done and do a membrane sweep.
What was he doing? My sisters Dr was listening to a radio program with his phone.He called me around 10:20 into delivery room and did it ohhh boy that thing was painful!!!! I went to sleep and by 11 contractions started o the real thing and by past 4am the pains became unbearable Dr and nurses don take different beds hang mosquito nets everywhere sleep better sleep I was on my own o.Labour pain is one pain that can't be compared to pain.I kept bearing it and at a point I started calling nurse nurse but no one answered me until I felt like pooing I decided if I don't shout I will give birth on that bed.I shouted nurse I want to poo one of the nurses said get up and follow me.At that point I couldn't stand up but I kept feeling that urge.A woman whose daughter gave birth the previous day day heard me and woke up walked up to me and carried me up to the delivery room before the nurses and Dr followed.
The nurse checked me and I was 7cm they all started running around o.The one that went for drip,injection and all what not. They fixed the drip and I shouted I want to push o,the nurses said don't push yet allow the drip to finish. It took less than 5 mins the drip was finished and they fixed the second drip and before she finished my sisters I pushed and baby was out pheeeew I couldn't believe it.They kept her on my body and went for the placenta which wasn't coming out and they started stitching me that was were the real pain started. I was stitched without injection I screamed my longs out.After stitching me they she went for the placenta which finally came out and I was cleaned and I walked back to the room alone feeling very weak and dizzy and the pain was out of this world.
I asked the Dr to give me drugs for the pain and he did after begging and begging because there was no one with me.someone offered to help me get the drug which they finally gave me and after few minutes I noticed I was bleeding seriously and was taken back to the delivery room and they pumped out blood from my body again and I died again.My people the pains I felt on the 21st of May is something I can't explain but in all my beautiful daughter gave me strength. I felt a new level of love for someone I was meeting for the first time.She's adorable.
I had tear up to my anus,I am having pile that won't make me control poo which am still battling, am having pains all over but I can't be grateful enough for this wonderful gift God has blessed me with.I was told a year ago that I can't get pregnant due to multiple fibroids but today I have a daughter.Drs say it's a Miracle so we decided to name Miracle. To all mamas waiting for their los I congratulate you all in advance.

Wow some doctors and nurses sha don't realise they are care givers at all, getting angry at patients for lil things .....thank God it ended in praise with mummy, baby and daddy alive.

Lovely, beautiful and strong moms una doh! it's not an easy something joor. I throwey salute to all of us. More strength and grease where it's needed.

We should be between weeks 14 and 18. Isn't it wonderful to know we have just 1 trimester to go? For me it is. We must always endeavour to encourage ourselves no matter how hard it seems.

Who has found out her baby's sex yet? EzyF, BlessedDiva, Bukit05, Sexyjuly, Maryam1234, Jennyswtie, Seunmarytemi and bulunton?

I hope we've taken at least the first dose of TT vaccine for the first timers?
I hope we've also been faithful in taking out prenatal supplements(I haven't been very faithful because I naturally hate drugs. If there's no swallows or papto hide them in, I won't take my drugs. So I try to eat as much fruits and veggies as I can muster. )

Whose still suffering from nausea and food aversion. Hopefully time will alleviate us of those symptoms.

Those of us who have so much burst of energy, do enjoy the time because the days of heaviness are coming(maybe not for all).

In all, do enjoy every single moment of this beautiful journey.

Amen to that wonderful prayer my able cappo.
I had my 2nd app yesterday but i wasnt given the TT injection, I asked him but he said its not yet time, no anti malarial drugs, no TT injection....walahi I tire for my doc oo but sha I had dating scan last week, even though dh doesnt want us to find out but I secretly asked the sonoographer to tell me but baby no gree show us oo was busy moving and i also heard baby's heartbeat yesterday via the doppler, thank God he/she's flipping and tumbling and I have started feeling my baby's soft jabs glory to God!

Still feeling nauseous sometimes, heartburn, headache, aversion and mother of all excessive saliva. But in all I give God the praise, it's a super duper exciting feeling for me and DH, we finally told mom in law on wednesday and she cried with joy.

Just as some June mamas ported to may, is the same way i see some November mamas porting to October. Please, nobody should come to my house ooo, one small girl just threw a morsel of cold eba into my hot tea, so I'm not feeling fine.

But on a serious note mama, it has really happened in real life. I have read about it like 2 times.
In fact, a lady in my church testified that her sister gave birth and the baby died. Her sister started her usual omugwo and was taking all that uda and hot pepper soup women that gave birth take.

Two weeks later, she noticed she was still having kicks in her rib section. A scan later revealed that she was carrying another baby. Believe me, the church shook. This testimony was shared just this Wednesday (yesterday) .
She was asking the church for prayers for God to sustain the baby and bring the baby forth alive.

I really wish I called her afterward to ask her how many months the pregnancy is. But a pregnancy that the baby is already kicking is surely into the second trimester if not more.

My dear, I have learnt to expect the unexpected in this our world. Besides, our God is still in the business of doing miracles.

Mama try other fruits you may be lucky to get the ones that will go down well with you and stick to them.
As for the spitting I use bitterkola to curb it whenever I'm outside it helps but it doesn't stop it. I bet all will stop when you deliver.

Hello momas in d house.... Nice room here o. Well its my third baby n im stillvery early (5weeks) had two girls before but d surprising thing is that this time its not d normal morning sicknesses, loss of appetite, vomiting, dizziness, spitting n all. It d other way round. This time i can eat for afrika, lolz.... But jusy that i dont enjoy or like whatever i cook myself and ive lost a little weight n im getting uglier with pimples on my face and i get constant headache + cold. Any advice? Wow! Cant wait for nine months o.... To hold my bundle of joy. I hope its a boy! Wink***
