Just an update. I see a couple of us are very active which is a good sign.
Those of us who aren't, I trust we're fine, maybe morning sickness. It will soon pass.

am not a new mum but I am a new daddy..I usually read helpful tips here ever since my wife was in her first trimester..she is not on Nairaland but this thread has bn so helpful.. To God be d glory she delivered a bouncing baby boy last week..U need to see how I was smiling like someone that just won a bonaza..As a trained anatomist, I do some checks on her personally. 2 weeks ago, I examined her and I noticed the mucos plug is now closer to the vagina opening.. I knew she was due..plus she had braxon hicks labor..The day she delivered.. Choi.. Upon my anatomy, no be small fear catch me o..cos she woke me up by 1 am wen her water broke...My heart did gbum gbum continuously.. Then d contractions started...every five five mins...waited till 4 am before going to the hospital wen the doctor told me to join them in the delivery ward..naso dem give me gown to wear and glove...I really pitied women and most especially my wife..The pain was out of the world..I almost cried at a point...at a point. I wanted to fan my wife cos the sweating was so much but she screamed at me not to come near her..chai... Then the baby's head came outward and I was giving my wife the morale to push a big more...she really tried..after 3 hours of intense labor, she pushed and our little junior came out.....I quickly hugged my wife with tears rolling tru my eyes...Ever since then, my respect grew for the women folks most especially the responsible ones..I wish everyone here awaiting delivery a safe one in Jesus name...

I'm just scared of treating infection in my first tri. I fear of any possible adverse effect on my child. Thanks anyways, will muster courage n go to hospital

@Jennyswtie I 2nd what cappo @VannywealthDesi suggested. Dont be scared, just go and see your doctor for better treatment, I had malaria in my 7th week and my doctor gave me anti-malarial drugs which cleared it and he did scan 2 weeks after at 9 weeks and thank God my baby is doing well. It's always better to see your dr, ob/gyn at this early stage.
I'll register next week at 13 weeks

My love it was an experience I wouldn't wish on an enemy. 4 days in labour losing amniotic fluid and blood with serious contraction. After all effort, my boy came out. It shall not repeat again as long as the Lord liveth.

We all shall see our lo with our eyes and train them and they shall in turn look after us in old age in Jesus name, amen.

Oh dear! It is well dearie.....A big AMEN to that prayer and so shall it be.

The pregnancy that birth my precious Prince started as a surprise. I was on FP injection and still calculated my safe period religiously but God has a better plan for me,to bless me with a special angel. Lols .So the journey started through ms,constipation etc. Fast forward to 24weeks,I started having pains which was confirmed to be pre-term labour,my cervix had shortened and was starting to open. I was placed on bed rest and pelvic rest and given drugs to stop contractions.I managed myself till 34 weeks wen the bed rest was lifted,then I started getting pains and feeling very uncomfortable.
I was treated for malaria,fesolate tablets increased and was monitored weekly.
At 37 weeks,d pain had increased with strong fruitless contractions (was on 2cm all d while).I became restless, my mother instinct kept telling me that dere is something wrong but I couldn't figure it out.
I kept going to d hospital every other day but dose doctors will just say madam go and wait,it's not yet time.
One day,I couldn't sleep,painfull contractions and baby was restless,I cried throughout d nite and very early in d morning,I was in d hospital
Dis time around,I insisted on seeing d senior doctor dat took d delivery of my girls. I waited for hours and some devils in human form where telling me to just keep wasting my time wen i can see another doctor but i refused.
Immediately he came,he checked me and told me to come back dat same day to be induced the next morning.
D next morning,after checking my baby's heartbeat for several times,d induction started. I was doing fine and contracting well till I got to 9cm and got stuck. D enemy is in trouble ooo. I was in pains,weak,my baby could not descend into d birth canal and suddenly his heartbeat started going down and within minutes, my bp was also going down.I was placed on oxygen immediately.
I started shivering and weeping and telling dem to please save my baby even if I had to go. My mother came in and prayed for me,she told me all will be well dat I can't go before her.
My doctor came in at dat point and I was rushed into d theatre. I signed the consent form in d theatre myself,told dem it's my life and can't wait till wen my husby will be back. I just wanted my baby alive and I had given up on myself.
Few minutes into d session,I heard my baby's cry den I started strugling to be awake.My doctor den said look at your baby,it's a boy,you need to be alive for dis boy,just struggle,let's do dis together,u can't leave dis boy alone and dey placed him close to me,den d strength came and we fought through together.my baby came in at 6:38pm on april 10 weighing 3.8kg,welcome to our beautiful world,my Prince Charming.

My dear you are not alone. My last pregnancy last year, I was having fun in that department all through until I lost my pregnancy at about 6 months.

6 months that far along? this is sad, i decree that none shall cast her young, no more sad news, we all shall carry to full term and deliver like the biblical Hebrew women with mummy, daddy, siblings and babies alive in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Amen.

I really need your prayers mamas. I just lost my mum today. My pillar, my pride, the only father and mother I knew.

Oh dear sis, pls take heart. I can relate because I lost both parents within 2 months in 2015, when the TTC was hot, about to do myomectomy, when I needed them most but God chose to take both of them maybe to make me stronger I don't know because it didn't make sense but look at me here still standing and about to be a mom.
Mourn her but not like one without hope because God got you as Abba Father.
Just believe that she's in a better place ok.
May her sweet soul rest in perfect peace and may God give you all the grace to bear this pain and pull through.
It is well with you and your siblings.

The prayer Mondays can be done by as many mamas as are able. For new mama's, it's basically posting prayers on the thread for fruitfulness and Thanksgiving. We still do it but it's erratic.

For the Bfp Roll Call/WIDD, I will take it up again. Except any other sweet mama wants to volunteer _{I honestly don't mind. Infact, I would be happy because that thing na work} . But I will like it back. I know it helped lots of mamas then. I got busy and asked for a relief but nobody took it up.

Well done mama, I can remember you started the faith roll call that saw so many mamas porting in 2015 or was it 2016? Pls start again and that prayer chain that followed the names then should be started again too. It worked wonders.

Chai! (in Patience Jonathan voice). I was warned about food aversion and I was busy praying for it.

My people, see as my mouth heavy now. Food hardly makes sense for my mouth although I'm not spitting.

I woke up worried that I no longer feel the stretching I used to feel in my early weeks and the sore breast. I was scared until I read that since its my second pregnancy, the babies have enough space already expanded which is why I don't feel the stretching again.

Anyway, I repent for asking for food aversion. Abeg, I want my taste bud back!

I know it's my "enemies" (team October) with that their midnight prayer that is causing this.

Lord please have mercy on me. I don't have interest in anything as it stands.

Chai pele, my own is meat, chicken and fish that I used to love I hate so much now, it's only eggs I can stomach now, I can eat 5 at once. Just try and check other things that can go down and eat them you hear, your taste bud will soon return in 2nd trimester though, ndo

Birth alert... My Prince Charming made his grand entrance on the 6th of April, weighing 3.5kg. Both mum and bby are doing great. If u dey fear to soak gaari, the solution I have for u is to re-fry it with fry pan, and make it hot, lower the fire very well and keep steering till it becomes very hot, park and spread on a tray and allow it to get cold before keeping it in a bucket or tight container. Just dey fire your gaari anytime u want it. lobatan.

Birth Alert!
My prince arrived planet earth on 7th April via Emergency C section after three days of continuous labour and hunger.
I appreciate the Lord God for making me a mother after 5 years of waiting.
For everyone who helped out in one way or the other, I say a very big thank you.
We still need your prayers as I had a severe breakdown but we will survive.

Congratulations to mamas that have delivered, those waddling, God will make it easy for you.

BS might take a while but I will surely give it.

Wemmy na little by little. Glad you're almost at the finishing line. I learnt that whatever we eat (so long as they're not harmful), babies take the very best of it and leave us with the remnant. I just believe it's God that sustains us. Because the way our babies' body parts form, we don't even know. We just know that in 9months a complete human being has been formed. Miracle I tell you. So if I feel like eating ijebu garri with ice block and plenty milk with groundnut, I'll eat. At least that one is readily available...plenty story

Pls is it safe to soak garri, I really don't mind that with plenty milk and groundnuts but I'm scared of lassa fever oo, they say eat only Eba because of the hot water used to prepare it but I really crave ice cold soaked garri sha, pls can i go ahead.....
