owobokiri: @ the bolded, where did I say so? I don't know what is wrong with some Nigerians. So because I highlighted the atrocities of the French government in French West Africa, that means I support British atrocities in the English speaking part of Africa? Who doesn't know that Nigerias oil industry for instance, has been under British control post Nigeria Biafra war?
To start with, why do you Nigerians always feel an urgent urge to come to the defense of the West whenever their atrocious gimmicks in the continent are highlighted? Are you paid for this? Western countries are directly injecting themselves into local African politics. If I mention this, it's termed "excuses". But that's the reality. The French is looting french West Africa! The British is looting English speaking West Africa!! Those are the facts.
Trying to convulate the discuss by talking about bad leadership in Africa is jejune, because as far as I'm concerned, most bad leaders in this continent are products of the Western interventions in African politics.. the same problem that we are talking about here.. There are bad leaders everywhere. But when more powerful regions of the world insist on making criminals the leaders of African nations, they're sadistically entrenching evil. I guess western powers were responsible for Tinubu emergence as APC presidential candidate? |

Powersurge: It is appalling that semi-illiterates will be ghe first to insult people on online. It is very dumb to equate a countries with its GDP. It is very dumb to equal countries with trillions, perhaps even quadrillion worth of resources to only its GDP.
Did you know that in 2014, 16 African countries signed a pact with France to supply $500b annually? Are you aware that Francophone countries must have their reserve in French currency? Did you know that only French companies have the final say concerning the extraction, processing and sales of natural resources in the 16 Francophone countries?
In March 2008, former French President Jacques Chirac was quoted as saying, “Without Africa, France will slide down into the rank of a third world power”. His predecessor, the enigmatic François Mitterrand already prophesied as far back as 1957 that, “Without Africa, France will have no history in the 21st century”. Sighs You keep repeating this crap, you have no proof of. The question is where can this countries get 500billion dollars annually to give France , since their combined annual revenue is not up to $100billion? The irony is that most of this francophone countries have China or Switzerland as there largest trade partners and not France. The CFA has so much benefits, that 2 non francophone countries, Equitorial Guinea and Guinea baissu had to apply and become a member. Go to quora, all this claims you wrote here, have be properly refuted with facts. Is this, the kind of logical reasoning we are going to use to challenge the Western powers with? |

Kaysalas: I don't know what their largest exports and imports are, but I do know that the french have an overbearing influence on them. Infact, the french rode on the backs of Africans to be the "super"power they are today. This had always irritated the Russians who are now doing everything possible to break their influence in Africa. You will never know the extent of pillaging France had done and continues to do in Africa. Could be even more than those figures you are disputing. That's false. France did not need francophone, African countries to become the economic gaints they are. You can lookup the histroy of the economy of France . |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Burkina Faso Requests French Ambassador's Withdrawal by blueAgent(m): 10:39pm On Jan 05, 2023 |
Kaysalas: I get your drift and I am not actually in support of the bogus figure. But my point is.. it could even be more or less, we can never know until actual values are determined. But don't think it's impossible for France to exploit Africans to that extent The evidence so far shows little or no exploitation. Take Niger or Togo for example, what is their largest exports, what is their biggest industry, what are the revenues, who controls the mineral exploitation? Who is their largest trade partners? When you try and answer this questions the picture becomes clearer. |

Aizenosa: The same people who sow discord and arms as means of establishing peace. The same people who armed terrorist and extremist organisation such as ISIS and likes. They are the same people buying these minerals without the GDP benefiting from it. False. It's simple. Google minning in francophone countries aswell as economy of francophone countries and see if the minning are included in their Gdp. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Burkina Faso Requests French Ambassador's Withdrawal by blueAgent(m): 6:32pm On Jan 05, 2023 |
Kaysalas: You are the one not thinking intelligently here. So you want France to wait until the former colonies have calculated their GDP below looting them dry? Hmm!!!! I don't even know were to start. First GDP is the measure of the size of a country's economic output. You cannot claim that France is looting francophone countries to the tune of 500billion dollars annually when those countries combined, yearly economic activity is not up to $300billion. It shows your argument is flawed, the so called resources you claim are part of the measured yearly GDP of those countries, or are you claiming that those francophone countries do not have exports and foreign earnings from their exports? |

Aizenosa: You do not understand, the resources mined at peanut prices and shipped overseas and turned into wealth I hope you understand that those are not actual GDP.
Take Nigeria for example, the tons of gold mined in the north and somehow find their way to the western world are they part of Nigeria GDP. Why are they not part of GDP? Is mining and extractive sectors of a country's economy not part of the economy? Who is responsible for the resources not been processed locally? Are African countries, the only countries exporting unrefined mineral resources? |

Jokerman: Nobody makes Mbappe feels like GOAT. Every person knows.
Mbappe has potential to be a great player. If he remains humble. Ronaldo is egoistic, but not arrogant, which even started after 35 years...
Mbappe is not even on Neymar level, talentwise... however this doesn't mean Pessi isn't holding Mbappe from reaching greatness, just like how Pessi held Neymar... How many Ballon d' ore, did mbappe and Neymar win b4 Messi joined PSG? |

GerogeI: You mean how they tell you it works. The DPR officials verifying first oil from wells that have been producing for months. They usually do yhe verification in hotels rooms inundated with girls and drinks.
Or is it the various undocumented export pipelines, which your govt. was denying existed untill Tompolo decided to unmask just one.
Or the crappy Production sharing contract designed by Britain for you. Contrast that with the simple "i own the oil" model run by middle east countries.
The worst type of a slave, is the one who does not even know he is enslaved, he thinks he is a favourite pet, just like a dog. Foreign Affairs › Re: Burkina Faso Requests French Ambassador's Withdrawal by blueAgent(m): 12:48pm On Jan 05, 2023 |
GerogeI: Are you not the dumb person. The guy obviously is looking at the actual productivity of the French economy, not the relative inflated monetary value, which is fixed by their Govt. France does not produce cocoa, coffee, bauxite or even coal. But to naive believers like you, they tell you the cocoa beans is not worth even a tenth of the process of making chocolate. Every step, they force your stoogie govts. to devaluate your currency even further for loans like Buhari just did, so cocoa beans becomes even worth less than the "thougth" of making chocolate, yet without cocoa you can't have chocolate.
Aggrarian communities trading with paper currencies is the greatest stupidity of every African country. Trade with gold and silver coins that no one can manipulate, but no, we must print money backed by nothing as Europeans do. I dey shame 4 you. Were do I start to educate this dumb dude. Incoherent and illogical crap you wrote here. Try Google GDP of France and Franco phone countries , before we proceed. |

There was a time on nairaland where we had many threads where people post developments going on in igbo land but currently all those threads are almost dead, why because of Nnamdi Kanu and Biafra.
