I was always laugh when I see people defend Muslim-Muslim ticket, I always see through the hypocrisy of certain people.
Nigeria today is not the same as 1993 it's so funny Nigerians use 1993 to cover up for the Muslim VP issue. Some people will say it's all about "competence" my response to that statement is
"if it's all about competence then,
Are there not northern christians
who are competent enough"

All I see is a power drunk desperado who is willing to sacrifice everything to fulfill his childish ambition. If it's all about competence then tribal status and region shouldn't matter he can as well choose a vice president from.the south west

Let us pause for a moment and think about what is highlighted in red above.... If competence is really what matters, then Tinubu should not have equally had any qualms picking a VP from the South because there are many competent hands in the South. If he respected the zone from which the VP has to come from while clearly disregarding religion, then we are in trouble!!!

I love this topic because just yesterday I was thinking about the same thing, I got to Botswana and in just 6month am worth more than $54,000 at least for a very broke boy from the street of Lagos, hustle to hustle carry me enter, I beg my fellow Nigerians to leave and try move into these coded countries, that's what I call them and see how big Nigerians are living and enjoying life on a low key, Many of them calculate in dollars. One yahoo boy #5m hit is my own bills in a month outside, u see say things are not the same at all.

Botswana i believe is one of the best (if not the best country) in Africa right now. I was there early this year to pay the bride price of my lovely jewel i met in Europe, and i was shocked at what i saw. The village we went to pay the bride price has more social amenities than some major cities in Nigeria. My brothers that accompanied me from Nigeria almost wept when they saw the difference...A very strong currency (1 pula = #36), 1st class roads, constant water supply, trust, safety, policemen doing their job the proper way, friendly people, organized way of life... even their healthcare is free and my wife was sponsored abroad to study by the government. My brothers even started making plans to visit Botswana again while they were still there grin . That country is the pride of Africa. However, Nigeria is still my country and will do anything i can to better her...as bad as it is, there is no place like home! But i am favored to have a 2nd home called Botswana!

Politics / Re: Lere Olayinka Writes Buhari A Letter Over Bola Ige's Reopened Murder Case by bluebabyboy1: 4:54pm On Jul 18, 2016
emmasege:
[s]One wonders why the Mallam now wants to cry more than the bereaved. It's this sort of thing that exhausts the little mental strength of the old man, which should have been used to revive our economy. Of what relevance are the murderers of Bola Ige to this sick nation which Buhari wants to strangle to death? Has a court of competent jurisdiction not acquitted his targeted political enemy in this case? Does this man know that OBJ, the then c-in-c was a very personal friend of Late Ige and yet refused to fish out the murderer? Can he be more concerned than OBJ? This is why one can easily conclude that Buhari is truly a dullard who can easily Be manipulated by anyone that suits his interest. We all know those who always exhume a long buried case so that they can ridicule their main opposition figure in Osun state and silence him.

Be it known to Buhari that the nation's economy demands urgent attention and that should be his priority at the moment rather than exhume a 15 year old murder case.

But should the old man decide to expend his fading physical and mental energy on Ige's case, he should extend same to the killers of a governor Lagos never had (Funsho williams), and more importantly the killers of 2011 youth corpers who were murdered by Buhari's foot soldiers in the north.

If i were Buhari, maybe i would have resigned by now due to people like you. He does the right thing...you complain; he doesnt do it...yet you complain - i beg make una leave the man alone to do him job jare!!! angry

EKITI ARISE! A CLARION CALL TO ALL EKITI STAKEHOLDERS ALL OVER THE WORLD

It's high time we put aside our political differences, our political affiliations and whatever that separate us, and cleaved to that which would guarantee good governance, and alleviate the sufferings of our kinspersons in Ekiti land. It's high time we stood for good governance. It's high time we realized the reason for our desire for a change of baton during the administration of Dr. Fayemi. It's high time we stopped talking of political parties. We cannot pretend not to know that all is not well with our dear state. And no one should remind anyone that it's a general phenomenon all over the country, Nigeria.
If the current trails of accusation against our incumbent governor, His Excellency Ayodele Fayose, are true; it's high time we rebuked him.
Whichever way it's used to expose any form of self-enrichment or stealing of our commonwealth is acceptable. Be it witch-hunt, persecution, or prosecution. As long as it's established that our money was stolen, it's an injustice against Ekiti people.
It's time to let the world know that, The people of Ekiti extraction, who know Fayose right from the beginning: his hay days at the motor park in Molete/Challenge Ibadan, his shoddy stint at Ibadan Polytechnic and the attendant OND/HND certificate drama, his first advent in Ekiti state house and his inglorious exit, his alleged backdoor second advent, and his impending doom, if found guilty; cannot be moved by any antics.
We should let the world know what we want is good governance, and whosoever can give that to us is welcomed irrespective of his political party. It's time to let the world know that Most of the people singing the praises of corrupt politicians are either people of questionable character, or people who are innocently ignorant, or people who depend on politics for a living.
A true born Ekiti with intact integrity does not celebrate stealing , mediocrity, or sycophancy.
Our Dear Governor Fayose should know that time is the decider of all things. If he's stolen, time will tell.
In the end, the truth would be exposed. And it would leave no one in doubt. It's a matter of time.
The clock is ticking. The time is fast approaching. The day of reckoning is here!
If the son of the next neighbor is stealing, does that make it unnecessary to chastise my own son for stealing? If it's proven, whether by witch-hunt, persecution or prosecution that Fayose has stolen, he must be made to face the wrath of the law .
It's time we stop interfering with government investigators.
And we must know, that if this administration shields any corrupt persons in Ekiti by virtue of political alliances, another administration would come and do justice to that. Who ever knew that those who were eating our yam yesterday could be made to vomit them today?
We are Ekiti! We are honorable people.
God bless Ekiti State.

The question I am asking is: does resignation absolve one of criminal charges? when you make such statement, does it not say much about the aim of such charges, talking of the ill fated intent of the executive? I hold my peace for now!

Reasoning like this is why they will always refer to us as ''backward''. When an exalted office is dragged into a case as degrading as this, the best option is usually for the occupant of the position to step aside - but Nigerians will never do that. Take a good look at David Cameron; despite the fact that Brexit wasnt his fault, still, he decided to step down because he believes the people do not believe in his visions anymore. Asides, what's the offence for not disclosing it? Does that offence include punishing him by jail term? Please leave sentiments aside when commenting.

How many people did your hero GEJ muster the courage to accuse, let alone try? If he did the needful during his tenure we wouldnt be in this terrible state we are now - but instead he created the perfect environment for them to thrive in their looting. Buhari has only been around for barely one year, so relax and watch the outcome of these cases before jumping into conclusion! cool . He's got the balls to accuse and try - so i believe he equally has the balls to convict and send the guilty ones where they belong.
