his lack of discretion in speech and conduct really freaks me up most times
when you're talking bout Nigeria legends serious odegbami should be clapping
legends of nigeria football are people like
Nwankwo Kanu (1994-2010, 86 caps, 13 goals)

Jay-Jay Okocha (1993-2006, 75 caps, 14 goals) ...

Rashidi Yekini (1984-1998, 58 caps, 37 goals) ...

Uche Okechukwu (1990-2002, 46 caps, two goals) ...

Finidi George (1991-2002, 62 caps, six goals) ...

Taribo West (1994-2002, 41 caps, no goals) ...
et al
Exactly my brother. These are the real Legends and not those boxers wearing, overhyped Naija footballers of the 80s.

The most annoying part is his indiscretion when talking like he would do a better job if placed in the helm of affairs

Did you ever watch him play to determine if he is overhyped?

He made some very strong point, but we are forever willing to villianize his character and disregard everything he says.

We need to treat our local coaches with respect as compared to their foreign counterparts.
Did Odegbami qualify or even feature in a single WC?

How many individual Laurels (as a player) did he win?

The man remains a village champion whose credentials barely exceeds the Nigerian football scene not to talk of Africa.

Mathematical my foot!!!

As much as I disagree with Odegbami, he is still a Nigerian legend. Easily Nigeria's best player at the time.

Which of Odegbami's mates were playing in Europe??

That was a completely different era. There were very few African players abroad. African players started going to Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Rabah Madjer easily comes to mind.

Segun odegbami is an overhyped legend and a Yoruba elder who lacks discretion in speech and conduct. Simple!!!

He couldn't even feature in a single WC as a player yet he tramples on Rohr's achievements as if he could have done 1/4 of the Job Rohr did

The stats show where Ndidi is better and otherwise. You are making a different argument.
If you need more physical presence and players to win aerial duels in the midfield your go to man is Billing. That’s also important to help a team keep possession. Billing has played more as a CM than DM in this current season. So here is a place for Billing in other areas when needed.
When Ndidi is injured or by extenuating (or unlikely) circumstances, he looses form

The thing is, Iwobi does not have the mindset of a professional footballer, he doesn't train, he has a poor cardio, he is more interested in being a celebrity than being a footballer

Carlo Ancelotti prefers a 4-4-2 formation and I'm struggling to see where he would fit in the new Everton side
Exactly, my brother. I have said this severally

Abeg, iwobi is an average player. He is okay and that's all. He is not really world class. His ability to control the midfield is limited when he comes up against a highly technical team. Nigeria vs Algeria in afcon 2019 comes to mind. Ejaria or someone better might bench him as time goes on
Iwobi is overrated.

With the coming year and Ejaria, Iwobi is not a guaranteed starter and Jamilu Collins position is not safe

Only Ekong, Osimhen and Ndidi are SE guaranteed starters
Iwobi has regressed so much and I pointed this put to people here but was attacked by his fanboys. He is living on past glory now.

Jamilu was always below average and I'm glad for the competition he is having. I don't see anything different between him and Bryan Idowu.

What's your problem with he is lying

Someone said he trekked from Ikoyi to maryland, why would he take third mainland brigde when he can use Carter bridge to burst to iddo, from Iddo to Oyinbo, from Oyingbo to Yaba, from Yaba to Palmgroove to Ikorodu road to Maryland

i've trekked from Victoria Island to Oyingbo when i was robbed of my wallet and phone, if you can't trek it that doesn't mean another person can't

Ok he is lying, so who's going to pay you as a lie detector now?

If Billing eventually turns out for us and he can translate his club performances to the national team, he would add something we currently lack in midfield. And that is aerial duels. He could prove a good addition. Let's wait and see.

Another comparison with Ndidi from a different stats tool.
Oga, how has his Ariel duels contributed to match wins?

Does he score headers regularly? Is he better interceptor than Ndidi. He will play second fiddle to Ndidi as long as Ndidi is fit. That's the truth

U made the assumption that Billing could displace Ndidi if he gets to play for the national team...
And I'm telling u that Rohr won't bench Ndidi or any of his regular boys just like that for Billing or any other player..
Rohr doesn't operate like that!

If Billing gets a call up for our next game,he will have to wait to get his chance as long as Ndidi is fit...unless he wish to play another role aside from DM .

And yes,Ndidi will never be benched as long as he is fit and available !
I agree with all you said

No intelligent person will be given dollars in Ikoyi and not change it to Niata first at those bureau de change in Ikoyi. I've dated up to 4 different very rich and influential girls
And I'll kindly share just one of their stories, I mean the first of them

It was 2013 mehn life no be moi moi ooo
I lived in Lagos , Maryland to be precise so I got a job at a catering company then at ikoyi
But not like other catering jobs oo , this one is special into big boys way
We only serve the NNPC_NAPIMS workers
Men go garage up with full swag to go serve rice grin
But it was fun cuz I had my cool Calabar friend with me
I finally had a friend who happened to be an auditor there (female)
Name withheld , she's absolutely gorgeous but a lil older than me i guess
She rides a range Rover , the company has a car park called Park view, for those who knows bayo kuku area in ikoyi you'll know there , big men area

One day I went to serve as usual , I was cashless , after closing hours I almost lost it cuz I had no penny to go home , mehn I trek from ikoyi reach Maryland grin life tire me
The next day again I went to work after borrowing money from my own younger brother grin
And after serving , I was just thinking of how to go home , but I no too dear because that day was Friday and we don't work during weekends
As i went to pack up the used plates, this damsel asked me to pass her bag to her, she gave me some $ upto 15 pieces
I mean dollars not naira ooo , 100 dollars each
Mehn my prick sef stand
I was dumbfounded , to say thank you sef tire me cry
Anyway I left , but I thanked her Sha , but I didn't even know the actual figure of the cash but I know say na load
Trust poor man na , I arrange the dollars inside my wallet and went to a nearby bar to get some cold Heineken and catfish peppersoup grin
After that I headed to obalende park , as usual the conductors don know me as a wahala boy who no they always get money complete grin
I stepped into the bus and put on my headphones in it's loudest volume , as usual the conductor started shouting (owo da)
Because I see fine girls inside bus I start to speak phonetics grin and brought out some dollars that i dont have change , conductor shock grin grin
To cut it short I went home
And I made my biggest mistake
Drop ur comments if I should continue cuz this is the funniest partt
You're a liar.

Trek from ikoyi to Maryland?

I agree with this statement. It is too far-fetched to expect any European team to build itself around an above-average player like Chuks.

What he needs now is a coach that can guide his development. Just like Klopp.

Not unnecessary pressure. Build a team around Chukwueze? Very Laughable

Y'all ned to chill out with these scare tactics. I've been married to my wife for 5 years now in this America and she still cooks, serves me food and even water to wash hands. It's all about what you have to offer and how well trained your wife is. Any woman abroad or at home that feels such is beneath them can go to hell, yes in the USA women reign supreme but there are ways to be diplomatic yet be in charge. Give a woman access to bank accounts, let her control the shopping in the household, maintain your sexual prowness and continue to bring in good income and I emphatically tell you as a man you can get away with almost anything. Let her think she's driving the ship, for example, give her access to your bank accounts and credit cards but keep certain accounts private for rainy days. This is America , most people have 4 or more accounts. Get life insurance and investments list her and the children as beneficiaries, this kind thing will sweet her die. Encourage her, build her up, let her have a career. In short let her win the many numerous little battles while you win the war. As time goes on, you'll realize you've gotten her to do exactly what you wanted without force...This is how real men in America operate....BE PREPARED FOR THE WORSE WHILE HOPING FOR THE BEST, SEE IT AS A BUSINESS ARRANGEMENT, EVERYONE MUST DO HIS OR HER PART!
Okay, another nice point.

This thread is a goldmine of invaluable info. Loving it!!

My Bad Experience Dating Nigerian Women Living in America!!!

Most Nigerian guys living abroad are their own problem, they are the reason Nigerian ladies show them pepper once they land abroad.

These guys will never tell these ladies the truth of what they do and how much they earn.

They will be saving money for months or years and maybe after some years they gather the cash which is hard currency, change it when they land Nigeria and it becomes huge money in Naira and they start to spend it anyhow forming rich guys when they are just nobody in the US but because of exchange rate difference and good environment they stay to snap pictures and post online to deceive these Naija based ladies, these ladies assume them to be rich guys working with US President lol.

On arriving the US after they use money they don't even have much to entice and lure these ladies into marriage, these ladies discover that these guys are like the downtrodden people, the lowest of lowest in the US and you know women, they feel betrayed and start to harbor anger against these guys that brought them to the US and these guys will never tell people the truth of what happened, they will start telling people that the Nigerian girl they married and brought from Nigeria no longer respect them, how can she respect you when u lied to her from the beginning and used fake life and lies to lure her into marriagehuh
Good point. Well noted.

Wow, I am learning a lot

Based on stories I have heard, this is over 90% true. I won't advice one to marry a Nigerian girl (either already in the USA or immigrated into the USA) based on this
