Yeah, 2000 naira per month is no longer enough for us. Even at that i think pre-paid meter is the best, this way, one does not pay for what he doesn't consume. I don't know of other places, but for about a month ago now, power supply has really increased in the part of kaduna where i stay to about 18-20 hours of power supply per day.

...Got to abuja and boarded a car going to kaduna. Going to the north for the first time, i felt very insecured. However, i finally arrived black gold camp at about 6 p.m. A soldierman told me to jog to the gate and in my mind i was like 'for what na'. Got to the gate and 3 other police officers (a female included) told me to go back, put my bag on my head and run towards them. I refused. And they were like 'okay, you go remain here'. Argued and later pleaded, all to no avail. I eventually did so. I actually felt stupid doing it. I got to the hall for registration and met an alarming queue. I felt i was the only one who spoke english there. Everywhere was smoking with hausa language + 60% of the females wore the hijab. I felt lost. (I later got to find out that the place was flooded with unimaid and A.B.U graduates) Later saw a coursemate, and i felt a little bit relieved. Couldn't complete registration that day. Got a mattress and slept off dirty, only to be woken by 5 a.m. The cold was unbearable, i knew it was going to be a very long 3weeks.

Wanted to be a doctor but i hated (& still hate) maths, and so in s.s 1, i was thrown into art class. That meant no more medicine, thought of something else but there was none except law.(especially with the influence of dad) I went for it, and just when it was my turn to get into uni, post u.m.e was introduced in 2005. Unical made me sat at home for 2yrs, eventhough i made the cut of mark for JAMB. I had to opt for a private uni to for law. But now, am thinking i shld have read something else.

Last week friday, i personally decided i wldn't be going to work until we get paid. Still have 200 hundred left for tomorrow and by wednesday, i might probably be on the bed staring at the ceiling.

Born and breed in lag, schooled in the east and currently serving in the north. But i wld still prefer the capital of my state....calabar.
