Preshy561: stop writing long epistles to babble on zero thing.
have you asked yourself, why Ibeto was meant to halt during obasanjo's regime?
when you answer this, you could come back for another tuitor tutor. Just like I thought, you are so ignorant about the monopoly you were screaming about that you cannot even attempt to defend your stance intellectually Well let me enlighten you further, Ibeto was forced to stop operation simply because he could not compete with Dangote. While Dangote was manufacturing cement locally, Ibeto was simply importing and rebagging foreign cement and the hike in exchange rates, drop in Dangotes cost of operation due to backward integration, and OBJ's government policies that heavily discouraged imports of items that can be produced locally to save Forex, he could not compete and was naturally edged out of the market. You can therefore see that Ibetos failure is none of Dangotes fault. But of course your village uncles would tell you that "Government stopped Ibeto to favour Dangote" and your gullible ignorant minds would swallow the silly tale hook, line and sinker I thought with my last question to you it would be clear that Dangotes brilliant success in several other countries would show you that his success is not tied to the Nigerian government (or are all other Goverments favouring him too against their own citizens?) but your brain still failed to process that simple logic and you continued blabbing nonsense instead. Go and read a book and stop exposing your ignorance on a public forum. |

Preshy561: is dangote into competition abi he was given monopoly of business? You see why y'all northerners are still wallowing in ignorance. If you were half as intelligent as you think you are, you'd know that every businessman in a capitalist system STRIVES TO MAXIMIZE HIS MARKET SHARE by all means possible by eliminating competition. Why do firms go into mergers and strategic alliances if not to gain competitive advantage and boost market share? Why do firms lobby government around the world to gain favourable policies, tax breaks etc.? You're clearly totally ignorant of what a monopoly entails in a capitalist society so stop blabbing thoughtlessly. I challenge you to mention an industry where Dangote has the sole license to operate. NONE. Monopoly is earned and not given in any free market economy Your businessmen like Ibeto et al fail and are unable to compete against Dangote, instead of acknowledging the fact and building capacity you come and start screaming monopoly as if you have the faintest idea what it means. If you're still doubting how much you exposed your unintelligence by your statement, ask yourself why Dangote is still dominating cement and manufacturing industries in other African countries and is constantly expanding into new frontiers if he is successful due to "monopoly he is given in Nigeria". |

ayodejiadetoro: By this analysis, some state would be at disadvantage, which defiles the purpose of FCC. The rule is that, a designed formular is used to predetermine the number for each state/zone to be recruited.
So for a particular cadre you are in competition with other candidate in your state/zone for the predetermined slot.
So if they are to choose 6 candidates for a certain cadre. assuming a formular of one candidate per zone.
A zone with a 40% best candidate would get a slot even though he may have a worse score than the second(or even third etc) of another zone. (See section 4 and 5 in the source link below)
source: http://www.federalcharacter.gov.ng/index.php/about-us/guiding-principles/procedures-for-recruitment Good observations, though I strongly doubt a 40% average score stands a chance regardless of FCC guidelines. Most likely they will take a higher scoring candidate from the zone that applied for a different cadre to fill the slot. |

CSTR1003: lol.
The votes are useless to him if and only if he will retain the votes he won in 2015 from the middle belt.
If he loses the middle belt to the PDP, even your Ibadan opportunistic voters riding on the sai buhari bandwagon will not save him.
Ibadan didn't vote for Obasanjo in his first tenure when he won. Because he didn't need Yoruba votes. And what is middle belt and who forms the bulk of the voters there? Kwarans, Kogites, Nigerlites or mutanen Nassarawa? How do you think they vote? Lol PMB won comfortably without Plateau in 2015 and Benue votes were marginal (to be replaced with incumbency votes ) so I'm afraid those 5% IPOB protest votes remain useless and inconsequential my friend. |

Marvel64: Good morning guys,
Let me make this clear
The Candidates that are competing for a particular position must be among the best in their respectives states.
It’s one thing to be among the best in your state, it’s another to be selected as one of the best for the position applied for.
Have a nice day! Good morning. I was wondering if there are HR departments/personnel in all DPR offices nationwide, or if the function is only in existence at the HQ in Lagos? Thanks. |

CSTR1003: And the people are entitled to their opinion.
He will never get their votes anyway. That's the point their votes are worthless to him so that was a dead comparison as he isn't seeking the votes. When you want to threaten with not voting someone, use a place with real electoral strength and value like Lagos, Ibadan or Kano. |

Marvel64: Someone said DDs have their own candidates which i can confirm is true. Mr Tata gave them the number of candidates they can bring into the system, he said anything more than that will not be acceptable. Candidates of the minister of state for Petroleum Resources, Senators, FCC, house of rep members ( especially those in upstream and downstream commuters) and other stakeholders were accepted. All of these people constituted about 20% of the final list. The remaining 80% were merit candidates. Trust me, most of the slots went to the non technical positions. The technical positions had more merit candidates. Those of you that used your connections that’s makes you so confident shouldn’t celebrate too early, many of those names were dropped. Just pray your name wasn’t among. Many will be disappointed, I repeat again.
Someone also mention some DPR staff not being competent, that’s the reason Mr Tata wants to ensure the right hands gets in that can add more value to the system. He shocked many people that thought it would be business as usual.
I must say the successful ones that made it on merit are graced to have this man fight for them. Indeed it's quite unusual, that's why I'm not surprised at the die hard pessimists amongst us. It seems totally inconceivable that a place as lucrative as DPR would successfully conduct a merit based recruitment, which is why the notion appears so naive and far fetched. I however do know for a fact that miracles do happen. God bless you for your efforts. |

Azijo: If u ever tendered ur Masters qualification as a GT, keep praying harder cos that is only a bonus 4 EHs and not GTs. Remember they have the same salary scale 4 all GTs with Bachelor's Degree and don't want you to start aggitating 4 promotion (Boss) barely after 2 yrs of ur resumption; when there may actually be no room just above; which is why they never allowed GTs upload anything beyond first degree even during the profile update call. But during the interview, they 'll persuade u to think of it as a plus, so u can say the truth. My interviewer specifically asked to sight my masters certificate after asking if any was available, and even queried why I didn't upload it to the portal, to which I explained that it was not stipulated as a requirement for GT's, and she appeared quite satisfied with the explanation and noted down the additional qualification. From her reaction, it's safe to infer that a masters degree ought to be more of a plus than a minus in this highly competitive recruitment, even for GT's. Bottom line is we should keep praying that the odds are in our favour regardless of all these permutations. |

masseratti: in a way we use the combination of both, out of 5 elections Buhari lost 4 what makes you think those other 4 cannot repeat its self again, point is we should always change any underperforming government without any emotional sentiment, that's the only way we can grow. 1. Wrong. There is no electoral college system in Nigeria in whatsoever shape or form. 2. Yes, but this is the first time he is running as incumbent and the preceding elections were marked by massive rigging. 3. Underperforming compared to what previous government? Replace the President with whom? As far as I am concerned, except for the unmitigated herdsmen killings, I am very satisfied with this government's performance considering what it met when it took office and where we are now, and right now there is no semblance of a better alternative from the aspirants currently on array. |

masseratti : same thing people said trump was wasting his time, if the election is free and fair,Buhari will lose.Yes and did he not still lose the popular (majority) votes? He was only saved by the electoral college, do your research. Nigeria doesn't operate the electoral college system so the majority vote (with 2/3 coverage) always wins. Comparing Trumps unpopularity to Buhari's popularity is just laughable. |

Onyiridike: In my honest opinion, DPR already know the candidates who are more likely to get the job based on test performance before interview. Based on my experience in HR, a candidate's interview performance is a vital part of the recruitment process, because it not only tests the knowledge and experience contained in your resume, but also helps the interviewer determine if the candidate would fit into the organizational culture and possesses required soft skills like interpersonal and communication skills and ability. The body language of the interviewers, particularly the lady when we got to the technical aspect, further reinforces this. My modest opinion. |
