Crime / Re: Woman Sleeps With Her Son To Have A Child For Her Husband In Benue State by BlueMountain1(m): 1:45pm On Aug 11, 2018
It is very unfortunate that this happened. But why would the man not be responsible enough to open up to his wife his true medical condition? Why waste 8 years of the women? Why would he allow his mother to humiliate the wife all these years when he knew the real cause of their childlessness? He should go and bury his face in the sand. He has failed as a man and a "husband". Shame unto his mother too. Two of a kind that has no honour.

Do update us with your contact phone numbers and e-mail address once again. Looking forward to keying into this project real time.

The former Imo State from which Abia state was created has always been know to be very good academically.
The Government should be sincere and put up Academic infrastructures and strengthen the Teacher Training Institutions and not sharing and fighting over contracts of who will supply rice and pure water.

Politics / Re: Niger Delta Avengers Give Nigerian Government Condition For Ceasefire. by BlueMountain1(m): 8:15pm On Jun 10, 2016
It is quite a pity that we have chosen to be like the chicken that rather than direct it's anger at the knife that killed it, has directed it's anger to the pot into which it has been put.

The Niger Delta region are made up of States that normally receive Monthly subventions from the FGN, 13% Oil derivation funds and a very huge IGR and royalties from all the Major Oil producing companies of their respective states, Oil Servicing Companies, all the taxes of the workers in these companies. There has been OMPADEC and then NDDC that were all aimed at the first hand development of these Oil bearing states.

Who are and had been the governors of these states?
Who are and had been MD's of OMPADEC and then NDDC as well as the Board members?
Where has the Constituent Development funds allocated to members of the National Assembles been put to?
Who are the Senate and House Committee Chairmen on issue affecting the region like Environment, Oil and Gas, Marine, e.t.c?

Indigenes of the oil bearing states and communities!!!!

What is the fate of projects like:
1. The East-West Road?
2. The Brass LNG?
3. The NLNG Train 7?
4. NAFCON?
5. The Port Harcourt Wharf?
6. The Sapele wharf?
7. Domestic LPG is produced in Bonny, but is transported first to Lagos via the ships and then brought back to PH and the Niger Delta via trucks!!!

The so called Elders of the region are feeding fat on the predicaments of the region instead of standing up to speak for the rightful entitlement of the region and her people!!!

ololo12: My take is, the prediction by the US government that Nigeria will split come 2015 is gradually panning out. Should we let that happen?

When the US government released the statement, every Nigerian government official that wanted to seek relevance started jumping up and down; calling the US names. They forgot that the things an elder sees sitting down, a child cannot see from the top of a palm tree.

We as Nigeria should seek sincerely to learn from the expirences of countries like Liberia, Siera Lione and very recently South Sudan.

azora: Thanks Blue Mountain for educating us in this thread. One thing I personally observed was the price of size 4 granite which is N4,515:00 per tons, I want to believe the price is just too expensive. At my end over hear, as at yesterday I bought. That perticular size for N2,600 per ton. Please where is the quarry in your picture located.
.

This practical took place at the Conrock Granite Crushing Industry, Amasiri, Ebonyi State, South East Nigeria.
(Between Okigwe and Afikpo, though very close to Afikpo.)
Well the other quarry is a Julius Bedger quarry. They do not sell to end users but solely for their constructions. So the element of monopoly might be another privellge they are enjoying fully. What can one do when you do not have alternatives?

Discharging Second Batch load of 25 tonnes.
Actually, after this second truck has been fully loaded and reweighed, it returned 19.77 Tonnes.
So here, for an uninformed client, he will feel that a 'FULL' load was supplied to him after having paid for 25 tonnes, while in actual fact, these trucks do not contain the 25 tonnes they often claim to carry.

So, will the entire class join me in saying thank you to Oga Spyder for helping us know the difference in the sizes of these trucks and the capacity of what they can truly carry.

Summary:

1. Intention to use the granite.
2. Approach a granite crushing company.
3. Make sure you are not stopped at the gate. Claim you have an appointment with the Site manager.
4. This will give you the advantage of seeing first hand the price list of the various product sizes.
5. Get their bank account details and make your payment in accord with the desired quantity.
6. Not to worry. These companies do have dedicated individual accounts for clients, such that if you are not able to carry all your products at once, you can always come for it at any other time. You can even use the balance (cash value) to buy any other size in the future.
7. You can see that i did pay for 50 tonnes of number 4 @ N 4515:00 but was only able to carry a sum total of 43.63 tonnes.
8. The cash value balance will be used to purchase Number 5 size @ N 4,300:00 per tonne in the future.
9. Negotiate / make arraignment for a truck that will carry your product.
10. At the gate , register and collect the truck's gate pass.
11. Approach the weighing bridge to ascertain the weight of your truck without the loaded products. Not the format of the weighing scale.
12. It is calibrated in Kg;
13. 1,000 kg = 1 Metric tonne.
14. Proceed to have your truck loaded and pay N 200:00 to the pay loader guy and hand in to him the gate pass as his record of what he loaded for the day.
15. The loaded truck goes back to be reweighed.
16. If you are satisfied, then the leveler will go up for a fee of N 200:00 to tidy the load so that it does not fall off the truck. the will also put a tarpaulin over it.
17. Next is to settle Local Government, Union, and other statutory fee of N 5,100:00. All are receipted.
18. If your face is the approachable type, there are other 'settlings' that may come your way.
19. Happy buying.

Next was to get the truck on the weighing bridge to be weighed empty of the product.
The value will then be entered into the gate pass.
This value is off great value as that is the determining factor of the total weight of the product that will be loaded unto the truck.

Learning - Put - In - Action:

The first thing I put to work was identifying the sizes of the trucks and their maximum carrying capacities.

Most of the truck will claim to carry 25 tonnes but in reality the carry way less.
So having made my enquirers I was made to understand that payments are made at the bank.
That was done, and the teller brought back to the company.
I paid for of the Number 4 Size @ N 4,515:00 per tonne.
Next was to bring in the truck that will carry my products.

I had need for 50 Tonnes of the Number 4 Size to be carried in two 25 tonne trucks.
At the gate you will be expected to register the truck and you will be issued a gate pass on which the size and quantity of what you intend to buy will be written. All on that pass will be the name of the truck driver and reg number.[img][/img]

I want to hand in the report of my Learning - Put - In - Action:

Having been a distant learning student of this class and having followed the class religiously, though from a distant, I have to put into practice the lessons learnt. This, i believe was the primary reason Spyder set out to share with us his experiences and discoveries in the Nigerian Building sector.

I was at a granite crushing site to buy some products for the casting of Lintels and columns.
putting into practice what I learnt on this tread was so much fun and also gave me the needed confidence in handling all manner of antics that plays out in this granite buying business.

Health / Re: Life After A CS Delivery Is So Challenging? by BlueMountain1(m): 5:15pm On Oct 26, 2013

With reference to your question: I had a discussion with my wife and her Dr to ascertain that there were no medical threats and we were told to hold on for some 3 - 4 weeks. Also, the rear entry was also a wonderful experience, because it gives a sence of protection during those intimate hours. You can also bond with your husband in so many other ways like him bathing you, rubbing your feet while the 2 of you watch TV.

Enjoy every moment of this period. It's wonderful.

abisquare: Holding your baby after a period of nine month pregnancy is every woman dream, going through CS(Cesarian Section) for delivery is more challenging than normal delivery my baby is already 7 weeks and I still feel thee pains of stitches and a lot of DONTs. In my case I've a little opening on it and it can be so frustrating that you wish the scar will just disappear there are times when you have the urge to give it a tough scratching because of the way it will be itching you. Is all dis normal for those who have gone through this procedure? Or am I the only one feeling this way it's so frustrating that its almost covering the joys of holding my little cutie.

When it comes to the mystry of a new life, it's so amazing what God has done with womanhood. My wife had 2 CS _-June 2010 and October 2011 and I had the rare privillage of been their with her all through the process in 2010.

I have always had great respect for the ladies, but after what I saw my dear wife go through, I never believed that women were the weaker sex any longer.

When we arrived the hospital we never anticipated the CS, but certain factors just didn't fall into place. First, my wife wasn't dilating and the medical team were not so confortablle with our sons heart beat. So the idea was discussed with us.

The administering of the epidoral was the height of the whole thing. It was meant to kill the pains of the CS, the mode of administing the epidoral na die. She had to bend forward and the epidoral was injected into a particular point on her spine. It was too painful even for me.

For me, I saw my wife through all this by giving her so much support; assiting with our son's bathing and needs, meals, and any thing I can do. I let my love envelope her well and made sure the atmosphere around her was always peaceful.

When the husband shows intrest, most of the pains and discomfort do not last. Another good thing is when she looks into the eye of the new life. All will be history.
