Note that Guehi was playing as a LCB in a back 3 Palce. He started his Citeh career playing as the LCB. He's been so bad that Maresca has now switched him to his favorite foot to play as the RCB.

He's even one of the reasons city lost the league to arsenal last season. The guy just dey do error up and down.

No, I'm saying Saliba and Gabriel have gone past the stage Guehi currently is in his career. Those two have become formidable defensive rocks as at the time Arsenal fans were suggesting Guehi who has continually shown he's not yet up there at their level.

I'm glad we didn't sign him seeing how many points he's cist city since he joined. He literally defeated City Vs Everton last year which handed us an easy path to the league triumph.

I was against signing him because he was simply available or because we are trying to ensure city don't strengthen their team.

The gentleman in the middle, wearing a blue suit, is Oghogho Akpata, the Founder and Managing Partner of TEMPLARS, one of Nigeria’s leading commercial law firms.

Standing beside him are SIX SENIOR ADVOCATES OF NIGERIA from the firm he established.

And here is the interesting thing.

OGHOGHO AKPATA IS NOT A SAN!

Yes, you read that correctly. 😂

Let me tell you his story.

In 1995, after gaining experience at the law firm of F.O. Akinrele & Co., Oghogho Akpata established a small law practice in Lagos.

The firm was called TEMPLARS.

The following year, his cousin, Olumide Akpata, relocated from Warri to Lagos and joined him.

Olumide had previously worked under the renowned Dr. Mudiaga Odje SAN.

Together with their colleagues, they began building what would eventually become one of Nigeria’s leading commercial law firms.

At the beginning, TEMPLARS was a small practice of just four lawyers.

Today, it has grown into a major commercial law firm with more than 150 lawyers and offices in Nigeria and Ghana.

But that is not even the most interesting part of the story.

THE FIRM HAS PRODUCED SIX SENIOR ADVOCATES OF NIGERIA! ⚖️👏

They are:

1. Adewale Atake SAN.
2. Godwin Omoaka SAN.
3. Inam Wilson SAN.
4. Olufemi Oyewole SAN.
5. Igonikon Adekunle SAN.
6. Sadiq Ilegieuno SAN.

The last two were elevated to the Inner Bar in 2026.

And when their elevation was announced, Oghogho Akpata publicly celebrated their achievement.


He spoke about the years of hard work that had earned them the distinction and what could happen when a law firm invested patiently in its people.

THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A MOMENT.

Here is a man who established a law firm more than 30 years ago.

Over the years, lawyers within that firm have risen to become partners, leaders of practice groups and Senior Advocates of Nigeria.

Yet the founder himself has not taken silk.

And he continues to lead the institution.

There is something particularly instructive about that.

In a profession where titles, seniority and personal recognition sometimes assume enormous importance, Oghogho Akpata’s story offers a different perspective.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE THE MOST DECORATED PERSON IN THE ROOM TO BE THE PERSON WHO BUILT THE ROOM!

And there is another interesting part of his story.

His cousin, Olumide Akpata, who joined TEMPLARS in 1996, eventually became President of the Nigerian Bar Association in 2020.

Olumide was not a SAN either.

In fact, his election attracted considerable attention because he defeated two Senior Advocates of Nigeria to become NBA President.

Interestingly, many Nigerian lawyers may be more familiar with Olumide Akpata than with Oghogho Akpata, the man who established the firm where Olumide built much of his professional career.

Yet Oghogho has continued quietly building the institution.

And that brings me to what I consider the most important lesson in this story.

BECOMING A SENIOR ADVOCATE OF NIGERIA IS A REMARKABLE PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT. BUT IT IS NOT THE ONLY MEASURE OF SUCCESS IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION.

Some lawyers distinguish themselves through courtroom advocacy.

Others through scholarship, public service, judicial appointments or professional leadership.

And some distinguish themselves by building institutions that enable other lawyers to flourish.

A good leader does not have to be intimidated when the people around him become successful.

He does not have to diminish their achievements to protect his own importance.

He can celebrate their progress, support their ambitions and create an environment in which they can become even more accomplished than he is.

Indeed, one measure of leadership is not simply how far you have risen, but how many people have been able to rise because of the opportunities you created.

Oghogho Akpata’s story illustrates that point beautifully.

He may not have the letters SAN after his name.

But he has built a law firm in which six lawyers have attained that distinction.

And beyond the six SANs, the firm has developed numerous partners and other accomplished legal practitioners.

Perhaps the ultimate professional achievement is not always the title you acquire for yourself.

I say make we continue dey spend at the pace we are spending. Let budget padding continue, let billions stolen through Inflated contracts be used to finance political ambitions, and let them use little part of the largesse to buy votes.

I have seen Nigerian leaders spend like we are sitting on a gold mine that can never run dry. We've seen their kids use Nigerian commonwealth to finance their lifestyles that doesn't match the official income of their parents.

I know u are not inclined to be interested in such "irrelevant matters" for obvious reasons, so I understand.

Let the spending continue whether Nigeria is broke or not.

APC are on a mission to finish Nigeria such that by the time they eventually leave power, nothing go remain again. Just look at the level of wastefulness at a period when more and more Nigerians are being thrown below poverty line.

I’m not arguing whether Havertz is a threat or not with you .

You are the one lamenting why Havertz was so deep in our half in the build up to Eze’s goal . All I’ve done is tell you that it’s actually not a big deal cos Havertz came back to join the community defence we do when we are off the ball .

You can watch the video clips again , Odegaard the creator lobbed the pass from his position which is very close to our CBs. We just gained the ball after a successful community defence , you can’t fault Havertz for being in that position at that time for doing what the coach expects him to do .

Havertz's primary role is to create and not to convert chances. He is a false 9. Just as we saw Kane yesterday, he played as a false 9 and he didn't score a hatrick.

Gyokeres on the other hand plays as a traditional 9. It's his role to score goals.

The reason Arteta prefers Havertz is not because he is more likely to score but because he adds more to the overall performance of the team.

You should be praising Odegaard's ingenuity for picking out Eze who obviously didn't join the team in defending in the sequence of play before the goal. I hope you know Odegaard who played the pass was farther from Havertz and even closer to our 18 yard box when he picked out that pass.

If both are inconsistent, then we should be giving the stick to Kai cos he's gotten a larger share of the pie with minutes played between the two.

Arsenal vs Conventry- Havertz had 1 goal
Arsenal vs Chelsea- Havertz had 1 goal
Arsenal vs Lille- Havertz had 1 assist coming off the bench

All the matches listed above are games we played well and got favorable result with us being in control from start to finish.

I say they are both inconsistent because the moment you give Havertz freehand to own the starting CF role, he will drop stinker and the manager will think of giving Gyokeres a chance. Then Gyokeres will drop a goal or assist like he did yesterday, only for him to drop stinker too later.

I won't join the bandwagon of fans who believe there's an agenda against Gyokeres by Areta, neither will I fool myself by saying Havertz is good enough to start all Arsenal matches as the standing CF. Both players are not consistent like our other players in different roles.

I would prefer the club sign a striker in January instead of relying on the two of them and their inconsistent performances.
