You guys are trying so hard to remove the blame of insecurity from Tinubu.
When Tinubu was saying the buck stops at the table of the president, I guess he wasn't planning on becoming president then. grin

This habit of people saying all manner of shît when in opposition only to get elected and start giving stories is becoming very annoying.
It's just annoying.

How will forest guards face criminal Fulani militia and Boko Haram heavily armed with automatic weapons like AK 47, AK 49, RPG and the likes?

Tinubu himself said the buck stops on the president's table to make arrangements with relevant intelligence agencies and the military authorities to combat terrorism. How people will just wake and start making excuse for Tinubu to absolve him of incompetence is just so annoying.

We have a DSS that should be using the security intelligence at their disposal to not just foil terrorist imminent attacks, but also prevent any potential attack. We also have a military that should be taking the fight to these terrorists to take them.out of business.

All of these are within the control and supervision of the president, yet we keep hearing stories from those bent on absolving the president of all blame at all times 🤦‍♂️

I don’t think Nigeria is ripe for widespread gun ownership. Though It may reduce some cases of banditry or kidnapping, but it will also increase everyday violence and crimes.

Many issues people currently leave for God, family, elders, or the law because they cannot physically retaliate will suddenly start being “settled” personally once guns become easily available.
Debt issues, land disputes, tribal or ethnic disagreements, relationship problems, road rage, and ordinary arguments could easily turn deadly.

Even worse, there are situations where people already feel frustrated because powerful people often escape justice. Cases where someone knows the law may protect a rich or influential person, or where a case gets to the police station and money changes everything, are examples of matters many people normally leave for God before, But once guns are easily accessible, some people may decide to take matters into their own hands instead of leaving for God or relying on the weak system

In a country like Nigeria, we are already struggling with tension, corruption, and weak law enforcement, more guns could easily bring more bloodshed than security.

I bought 3 plots of land in 2015 for close to 1 million naira. The land was later resold to another person in 2020, and till today, I have not received a single naira in compensation or refund. Meanwhile, land in that same area now costs over 3 million naira per plot.
And this kind of thing happens on a daily basis in Nigeria, while our law enforcement agencies are not really helping matters. Situations like this are part of the reason some people argue against widespread gun ownership. Personally, even if I had a gun, I will not do anything, but another person in the same situation might decide to take matters into his own hands.
You made a very vital point in your third paragraph. Nigeria is a country where justice hardly gets served in most cases; If gun ownership becomes a thing in this country, dead body go surplus! People would just use their guns to serve that justice they didn't get under the legal system.

Imagine a situation a minor is violated by an adult but because the adult has connections, the case is buried by the police because the adult is from an influential family that has deep connections in government. Shebi the father of the minor will just carry his gun to kpoof the yeye adult that escaped prison sentence for his predatory crime.

All this one that an employer would have ex-employees arrested because they decided to resign and ask for their entitlements, blood go too flow ! Even ordinary road rage that result in Wheel spanner and jack being used as weapon of choice on Lagos road, we would just be witnessing motorists unaliving themselves with their respective guns out of anger. Our Mortuary go too full with corpse asear!

Lmao bros this one is solely on the referees abeg

There’s a Seven minute long video on twitter on decisions that have gone your way all season

Just celebrate your title and leave all this yarns
If na by 7 minutes compilation video, we can do same for all of the top clubs that contested for the league this season. Off the top of my head I remember Caicedo getting away with Murder when we faced. You can even make 1-hour videos of City getting away with controversial decisions.

The point is this Arsenal team has actually been very disciplined all year round. We weren't committing unnecessary fouls in the box 18 that could've led us to conceding penalty kicks. Gabriel and Saliba were busy making last ditch tackles in the box without necessarily fouling the opposition attackers. I celebrate grace over their life bro!

I know u watch Arsenal and most of the other teams' EPL matches all season long regularly. You would agree with me that this team is not the team we all used to see cop red cards and give away PKs under small pressure.

But be like joy of pl don make una forget say una still fit carry champions league join 😂
Baba mi, if u noticed Arteta has not been seen or heard celebrating the EPL trophy like the rest of the team. Word on the street is that he is busy watching PSG clips and trying to map out strategy to match them and hand us our first UCL trophy.

Arteta is a very over-serious manager. He mandated our players watch Bournemouth vs City at the Arsenal training ground Tuesday night, but he was at home busy brainstorming on the imminent UCL final with PSG. I believe he has his eyes on the ultimate price and would whip his boys in line to do the unthinkable come 30th May.

We the fans may be carried away with the sweet EPL triumph, but trust me our gaffer is not.

I will hand over setford medal to xhaka instead
He deserves it after the ups and downs
Honestly that Kepa howler against city in the Carabao cup final still dey vex me . Na why I fit say make dem collect Kepa medal give to Xhaka grin

But on a serious note, kudos to every member of this team; they really deserve it . It's not easy for a team to be 1st runner up in 3 consecutive years and for them to step up to win it eventually . They really tried especially core members like Saka, Gabriel,Saliba, Odegaard, Raya, etc.

I have been videos from that Amazon Prime's All or Nothing on social media; particularly parts where Arteta spoke about how he has feelings too. How he was affected by our opinions as fans and how we judged some of his decisions that boomerang. I know he must really be emotional now.

Arteta and the team really tried. I saw the clip where he introduced the song "North London Forever" as a song that can help give the team identity. He literally combed the internet to get that song and pushed it to be accepted not only by the team but the entire fan base. He mentioned how Saka was from West London, but the song should resonate with him since that's where Arsenal is currently domiciled .

I think for his tactical shortcomings as a coach, Arteta is actually a good manager of men. He really really tried irrespective of how we feel about his tactics and on-field decisions.

Tinubu has done fvck all to deserve a second term but we know things are obviously not done normally in this country. If you see South african and other African opps comments on the videos of the teacher beheaded and the mother with her baby on her back pleading shame go hug you wetin no good. Some mocking us while small feel sorry for us. Kwara, Oyo that's even his region is being hit after they've infiltrated the north so what would then happen to the other regions if we sit down and watch this bastards spread since they already have sponsors.
On the grounds of insecurity alone sef Tinubu no supposed see 10% of votes in a general election, but trust the abracdabra system of government & politics we play in Nigeria dem go tell us say : "One Good turn deserves another "

When all is said and done, we will discuss how Arsenal won this year's EPL trophy without conceding a single PK nor have any of our players sent off; Yes, Zero red card after game week 37!

How Arteta turned around this team that used to collect red card anyhow and give away careless Penalty kicks to a very disciplined team when defending or on the offensive is still a mystery.

You finally see what I saw in him.

I voted for him and no matter the outcome, in my heart, I know I voted the right choice.

Gabriel and Raya was good no doubt, but Rice at some point took the team on his back.

It was not a mistake that at the critical point of the season without our main captain, Arteta decides to hand him the arm band (of course with the players buy in, I am sure).

We needed someone with the will and resilience to weather the storm and Rice was that guy.
Yes, I now see why you picked him. Rice is that one guy every manager needs in their team, he gives his 100% for the team.

One thing I admire about Rice is the fact that he just seem to always manage to keep his emotions under check. Even when other team mates are getting worked up by our opponents through rough tackles and cynical fouls, he would play peacemaker and try to douse tension.

Rice is a material for a great leader.

I can’t like this comment enough. I think Josh taking over the club full time from his dad was impactful.

Also, don’t underestimate the hiring of Berta. Berta brought a different sense of urgency in winning now. Baba barely sat in the stands. Man was ready to fight everybody including ref.

He was always on the sidelines and won’t allow the boys to be intimidated by anyone. Na every matchday dem dey hold am back because werey wan break bottle for people head.

Edu would have been forming fine boy sitting in the stands with glasses.
Berta! I hand it to him, he is a smooth operator whose work speaks loud and clear for him; his hiring has been 100% blessing for us. Berta makes me really excited about what the future holds for this club with him in charge in that Sporting Director role. He makes one feel like Edu should be hired agaain and fired over and over again.

Josh is the kind of owner/Chairman every Manager will pray to have.

When I was serving in the north we dey go watch Champions league match on Tuesdays and Wednesdaya at viewing center till late in the night. We will leave viewing center around to 11 in the night after final whistle and would trek from viewing center to our school for nothing less than 40 minutes.

We will be discussing the match we just watched while trekking from town to our school on the outskirts of the town. This is on an interstate road o. Few vehicles will pass by us while sometimes we may see one or two people riding their donkey or camels by the side of the road and we greet them sef.

Na that same me wey dey fear to do simple interstate travel in broad daylight even within Southwest because of how bad things have now become as regards insecurity.
