raumdeuter:We are telling u the government has failed the people, worse than Jonathan government did when Ur principal couldn't keep Jonathan's name off his lips. The workable solution is let this failed government redeem it self by bringing the kidnap victims home! Shebi Ur own workable solution was for Jonathan to have prosecuted Buhari's supporters who caused mayhem under Jonathan's government, so the workable solution we are suggesting is for Tinubu's government too to not only rescue kidnapped victims within record time, but prevent future kidnap incidents. The title GCFR is not just a prefix added to Tinubu's name nor a title paid for like "Jagaban", it is a damn title that comes with responsibility!
|
izzou:I agree with u, arguing these situation is a waste of time especially with a government apologist. They would never see the failure of governance for what it is. |
izzou:He thinks this whole thing is a game that needs to be won at all cost, or perhaps a political debate instead of a genuine call for accountability. You are right tho, when matters like this don't hit close to home it is always easy to start coming up with excuse upon excuse to defend government and the failure of its agencies |
raumdeuter:Excuse, excuse and more excuse! Ask Tinubu what he thought Jonathan should've done differently when he called for Jonathan's resignation over the Chibok girls kidnap saga. Bear in mind that the Chibok girls were not even beheaded at that point. While u are busy giving the American fighter jet that was shut down in Iran, don't forget it ended with the Americans deploying all available resources to bring their man home within a few days. This happened behind enemy lines in an active war Let's also not forget the Americans once rescued their kidnapped citizen right within our borders. We are asking for this government to bring the kidnapped home and not tons of excuses or gifting bags of rice to their families. |
raumdeuter:More reason why a more proactive government would've set things in motion long before the unfortunate beheading of the deceased teacher. The government and it's security agencies should've long planned rescued efforts if they take the life of the citizens serious like they ought to. All these excuses hold no water at all. We know how long it even took the government to even react to the incident which is a shame. All the tweets Tinubu made back then has shown what a terrible president he's turn out to be as far as security is concerned |
raumdeuter:Which risk pass the beheading of the victims we've been seeing on social media? When Security agents dey recover Hakeem Odumosu wife and neutralize the kidnappers wasn't the risk to her live not in the equation? If they can't recover these victims, it only means iye security agents are incompetent at will ni jare |
Segedinho:Yeah, I've seen sine of their live video recorded by people who joined live on TikTok. Normally if things work well in this country, none of those ones foolish enough to do TikTok live should ever escape arrest and even kpaiing. One guy that's always posting about kidnappings and terrorist attacks that are under-reported online complained that one of those bandits even called his personal phone number to threaten him. Those guys are not even hiding at all. It's just annoying that over security agencies continue to pamper them and allow the to thrive for reasons Best known to them. |
We talk this thing that time say a vote for Tinubu was literally a vote for "continuity" Yet, some people will still queue in the sun to vote this man again next year. 🤮
|
popizaino:Rice answereth all things 🤦♂️ |
akwesenana:I just did some more digging, seems it was the deceased teacher's niece that posted about it. She said the minister(I'm guessing Humanitarian minster) came to the family with two bags of rice 🤦♂️
|
akwesenana:I don't want to believe this is true. Please post link |
Ihebu4chelsea:Sometimes when person reason this country matter sef, person go wan craze. How is it so easy to move over 40 people around just like that and security agents can't track them withing the country's geographical boundaries. The kidnappers dey send videos out to social media and dem still dey put call to authorities to make demands. Even if dem dey move around the forests 24/7 , after14 days security agents can't still narrow down their location, talk less of attempting a rescue mission. Make this country sha no fight war with any country no matter how small the country may be o, because all these things dey give vibes of say our government can't protect us against internal threats. Shey na this government go come protect citizens against external threats? |
afrodoc:I get that part, what I was expecting is that if there's a way the videos can be used to narrow down the search area within which security agents can trace and track them. For example let's say they make a video deep in the forest in Ogbomoso and had to locate the nearest network cell tower to upload and send the video out on social media; can't security agents start tracking right from that moment and put into consideration the maximum distance the kidnappers can cover on foot with their victims within a specific time frame? At least they can guess they either move deep in the forests in Oyo state, Osun State or go as far as Kwara state forests. I mean can't they combine forensic analysis, common sense and security/detective skills to widen their search net and catch these guys ? The whole thing just look as if our security agents are incapable of getting things done when it matters most. Or maybe it's because the people involved are not really VIP. I remember the former Lagos CP Hakeem Odumosu's wife was kidnapped sometimes and the security agents eventually arrested her kidnappers after securing her release. Is it a case of willpower? |
The videos kidnappers always release showing victims in their custody being tortured and even the ones they decapitated; abeg where dem dey always send those videos to? Is it not possible for security agencies to use those videos to trace the kidnappers' location? |
Theuniverse:Nobody is saying arsenal is the only club to go unbeaten in the UCL now. You are the one that's claiming a team that came top after 38 matches in the league was helped by referees. So I'm asking if the same team was helped by refs in the UCL they have almost a perfect record the same season. It's okay for u to hope and wish Arsenal lose the final as a rival fan, but it's something else trying to water down the team's disciplinary record in the EPL and also their status as champion. Gabriel and Saliba are arguably the beat CB duo in the league this season and they kept cool head while doing their Jobs both in the UCL and EPL. |
germaphobe:Funny thing is Areta somehow was able to have a very good work relationship with the hot headed Xhaka; the same player who most fans had already given up on . In fact, Arteta turning around Xhaka's story at Arsenal is a clear example that Arteta is not the bad man-manager some fans may want to paint him because one would think if Arteta would have issues with senior players, Xhaka will be number one on the list. |
Theuniverse:Arsenal as of this moment remains unbeaten in this year's UCL despite facing Athletico Madrid 3x, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Leverkusen, Sporting CP, etc on the way to final. Is that also courtesy of England ref? They conceded the least number of goals in the UCL group stage and didn't also concded a red card. Is that also the handwork of EPL refs? |
germaphobe:I also wondered why he's bent on blaming Arteta for Auba and Ozil's exit ; especially Auba's. Auba is not a model for well disciplined superstar at all. Auba that had the same discplinary issues at national team level at the 2022 AFCON when him and Lemina broke the team's curfew by returning late to their hotels leading to a clash with security. It's understandable why he was axed at Arsenal because he will surely be a bad influence on the young team we were building to go back to winning ways. I am one of the biggest Auba's fan and I remember how I used to have tons of arguments with Iamoyindamola defending Auba every week back then. I never really liked Lacazzette and would always refer to Auba is the model goal poacher we need as a team. But the moment the news of his indiscipline issues made the rounds and he was axed, I agreed with the club management and wash my hand commot Auba matter. I can't condone indiscipline from a player being paid millions yearly who just can't behave himself on and off the pitch. |
Ihebu4chelsea:Yeah, gambling, drugs and alcoholism are strong addictions that have showed people shege over time. Saying "Nobody is addicted to soft drinks " is an absolute statement that is not always a fact. Go and watch this station that shows obese people on DSTV ( Can't remember if it is TLC or E).....You will see people addicted to all sorts of junk, soft drinks and other obesity agents. You will see them suffering from the consequence of their consumption, but they can't stop just because they are addicts. |
Ihebu4chelsea:If u are addicted to anything, u can do and undo to satisfy the cravings. People who are addicted to gambling will waste all their money on gambling and still gamble with other people's money in their care. I remember around that 2014 during the world cup period, one guy in our area was playing all those virtual baby soccer that they can play one whole league season within 2 to 3 hours. The guy at some point was winning and people around were hailing him. That day people thought finally they've seen one person that will really wreck 1960bet because he has mastered the winning stretegy for baby soccer. I later heard the guy lost all his winnings, went home to bring more money and still lost. He asked the shop owner to let him fire more on the premise that the shop attendant will follow him to ATM to withdraw to pay. Laslas he lost more than the money in his bank account and ended owing the bet shop owner. The man felt since his house was opposite his shop , he will surely get the money from him in a matter of days. That was how that guy ran away from home and never turned back for weeks. It was obvious that guy was an addict and would probably steal sef to gamble if he had the chance. That's the same way others are addicted to weed and even alcohol. They don't have the will power to stop |
larride:Alright bro. |
WhoDeyHause:U get! I don go naming ceremony before wey be say table wey I dey one of the guys carry Laughing gas come . As the party dey go, the guy just brought out ballon and was pumping them passing to his guys wey dem follow dey on the trips. If u go out frequently in Lagos, u go dey see these things. Dem no dey hide these things anymore, na olden days all those senior bros dey go far inside uncompleted building to smoke weed. |
Ihebu4chelsea:Most likely the highness feeling now. |
GloriousGbola:I no dey argue with u again my oga. U are right, he is staging a comeback to drop an album. |
WhoDeyHause:U get bro! Most people are not seeing it from the angle of addiction. When some people say they've lost like 20m to betting within 5 months of this year, you would look at them and think it is a lie because they don't even look like someone who makes N10m per annum. So you would wondering how's it possible they lost double of that to betting addiction when we have not even spent 6 months in the year. I recently watched a skit showing 3 friends who were all hungry and deliberating on how to source for food. Two of them agreed they should all contribute so they can buy food but the 3rd one claimed he had no money but would eat if they are able to source for food eventually. So the two guys devised a means by changing the topic to contribution for "cana". The 3rd guy quickly agreed they all contribute to buy the weeed and even sent his own contribution first. Immediately they confirmed his transfer they cussed him for always being eager to buy smoke and not food. They told him the money will be used for food and there's nothing that can be done about it. In the comment section of that skit, there were quite a handful of comments of young guys claiming they have friends like that ; guys who are very much addicted to weed and give it priority above any other need they may have. |
izzou:Okay then. I agree with u. No need trying to count someone else's money on their behalf sef. |
izzou:Read again! A show will pay around ₦1.5m and he can grace at least two or three in a week. Way back when I dey go work I dey always see clubs and hotels who host ladies night on Wednesdays and another show on Thursday when I'm going to work in the early hours of thurday and Friday. You will see people coming out of those places around 5.30am to 6.30am.... And dem go still do weekend shows. |
larride:Lolz. Just dey play Sometime ago I saw a banner of him showing up at a night club somewhere around egbeda. A club where they overprice their drink on a normal day. On such a day he would come, they will overprice their drinks even more and pay far above N1m for his appearance fee sef. E be like say Una no know how those nigife business dey really rake in money from all those yahoo boys regularly. Move around this weekend and u will see one or two hotels hosting a celebrity u consider as being an old taker. Those night life business owners dey use dem dey cash out steady |
izzou:These people rent houses like me and u na, it's just the location & cost of rent that differs. Me I fit rent 2 bedroom @4.5m per annum at Ajao estate make B-list artiste rent N20m per annum house for one of those estates after abraham Adesanya, Ajah All those hotels they lodge na show promoters dey cover those ones as part of cost of bringing them to shows. And the drinks they usually drink are sometimes on the house ; u no go carry artiste come show make u no fit do Martel and casamigos for the artiste's table for him and his entourage. I get friend that once invested in all these record label business, so I know a little about those things. I'm not saying they won't be spending on feeding and giving handouts to brothers and sisters (if they have any), but u should understand this smoking na addiction which may be taking majority of their earnings. For somehow that is assured of at least 2 to 3 shows in a midsized hotel in Lagos that pays him nothing less than 1.5m per show, he can always spend 155k on smoke. Na u dey reason say person wey be igbo addict go dey too get plenty savings 😂 |
afrodoc2:Exactly. The actual figures may not be too far off his claims. If no be say I dey see people transfer "igbo money" give dealer for my presence, I no go believe say that thing dey expensive like that. |
afrodoc2:Iceprince still dey do shows wey dey pay above a million regularly . If it is about being able to pay, I think he can still afford it since it is his own addiction. I don't the guy has a family he is really supporting with real cash. Maybe if he was married with a handful of kids whom he needs to support financially , I will agree he may have run into debt financing that lifestyle and still caring for his family sha. |
izzou:Well, na him get him pocket and na him know wetin dey inside. My own point is If guys wey dey see Yahoo money, random guys from old money and people wey dey do business fit dey buy weed of 80k dey smoke at one sitting with friends, I wouldn't really doubt a celebrity who sees regular money who claims he spends more than that daily on weed. There's one misconception I see people have about some of these artistes people have; I mean artistes whom we tag as artistes who "fell off". Most people think they are no longer getting money because they don't have banger hits blaring on the airwaves. I know you are somene who drives around Lagos, you will agree with me that if you drive around areas like Igando, Ikotun, Ejigbo, Ikorodu, Apapa, Ojo, Surulere, etc ; you will see clubs, hotels and lounges listing these C-List,D-list artistes as headliners for a show they have from time to time. Most of these guys still charge over a million naira to show up at these shows. Someone like Portable despite how rough he is , he won't even leave his house in Ogun state to perform in a "big hotel" in Ipaja. Let's not now talk about someone like Iceprince wey dey fly all around middlebelt, Abuja and Lagos to still show up at shows where he still gets paid millions for pulling crowds for those nightlife business owners in those axis. |
