No matter what happens, no matter how you see it,, if we refuse to go and vote, we are still the ones loosing.

Even if everyone votes, do our votes really counts in this country??. Especially under this present administration that don't give a damn about its people.
Have you ever asked yourself why rigging works in Nigeria??

It's because there are plenty of unused ballot papers (which the riggers at the Polling-units would use for their multiple thumb-printing).

And also, there are low voters turnouts (which the dubious Collation officers would easily convert to whichever value they want).

Had it been that the Voters Turnouts are huge, there won't be any room for rigging.

People are tired of the failed political system. And we know our votes don't count most times. Nigeria is a fraud abeg.
Now, only 3.29% of the whole population chose someone for the whole people, and the whole remaining 96.71% of people will have to watch and look as things go bad (or good if they are lucky).

Tell yourself the truth... are you motivated to stand on the queue and cast your vote?
I don't think that that was the reason Aba North/South people boycotted the Bye-election
Politics › Re: The 3.29% Turnout At The Aba North/south Bye-election Is Worrisome by BluntCrazeMan(op):
Honestly, there are lots of messages to take home here.

It is now very clear that there is no Minimum Voter's Turnout, Below Which INEC would Declare the Election Inconclusive..

..
..
Meanwhile...
The Imo State Judgement still baffles me till today.

..
The Constitution gave INEC (and only INEC alone) the powers to count votes.
Even if they counted nonsense, the best thing that the courts would have done is to request for a re-count of the ballots, or at worst, cancel the whole election and order for a fresh election.
I just can't fathom the reason why INEC didn't take that Imo State case serious, on the grounds that: “Supreme Court Did Their Job For Them, and went ahead to count votes”.
Politics › The 3.29% Turnout At The Aba North/south Bye-election Is Worrisome by BluntCrazeMan(op): 7:02am On Mar 29, 2021
In the Just-concluded Aba North and Aba South Federal Constituency Bye-election, out of the registered 496,628 number of voters in the Constituency, only 16,335 were accredited, constituting only 3.29% turnout of the whole number of registered voters in the Constituency.

With this, it just means that, even if the voters turnout is just 0.003% (or something like 35 people out of 759,456 registered voters), INEC will still declare their results like that.

It is really worrisome.

What was the reason for the Low Voters Turnout?

Was it Voter-apathy?
Or were they Boycotting as usual?

(This is a very bitter message to Boycotters.
No matter the boycotting, even if One Single Person Came out to vote, his vote will count, and whoever he voted for would win).

Politics › Two Of Governor Obiano’s Commissioners Don't Go To Work Any Longer by BluntCrazeMan(op):
It had been severally confirmed, that two Commissioners in Anambra State are no more going to work.
..
1). The Commissioner for Environment - Hon. Obi Nwankwo:
This Commissioner had not been to his office for more than One Year, although it was confirmed that he had been working from home all these while that he had been absent from office.

2). The Commissioner for Finance, Industry, Innovations & Development Financial Institutions - Mr Ifeatu Chinedu Onejeme:
He had not been to his office for about Four Months now, and he had NOT been working from home all these while that he had been absent from office. He didn't even delegate duties to the Officers available in the Ministry, and thus, there is a serious pile-up of files and backlog of works left undone.
The worst of it all is that, his Ministry is in charge of a lot of things, including the processing of the payment of Contractors and Consultants from all the other Ministries and Agencies in the State. Therefore, his office is a very important office in the state, yet he had left his work undone for four months now, and the works are there waiting for him, and piling up in volumes and in numbers.

The op is probably ignorant that the current 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is a fake document that was given to Nigeria by an illegitimate military government, hence has no value and isn't binding on anyone.

By implication, all public office holders since 1999 who swore by this illegal Constitution has no legal basis to do so.

There is every tendency that you're drifting away from the major topic of the thread.
This thread has nothing to do with IP.OB or marginalisation..
The topic is about the Nigerian Constitution, and how it didn't treat the subject of Referendums, which really is the Democracy In Its purest forms.

SUPERPACK:
There is no need for creating christian only section, the christians made it necessary for the mods to create an islam closed section due to their intolerance. I am yet to see a muslim attack, discredit or cause trouble on a christian religious discussion thread. The reverse is the case for christians who even go into islam threads, swear to their creed, just to have access to ferment trouble and even call then religion of piss in their Friday frontpage religious threads. The section for islam was created at the height of Bokoharam insurgency when the muslims on Nairaland could no longer chat about their faith without attacks from Christians calling them all sorts of names. Before you guys come for my neck, I am a Christian so don't come for my neck abeg.
The Atheists Wouldn't Allow Christians Have a good discussion about their faith.
This Thread Is Not Really About Muslims.
..
The Reason I brought up the Muslim-example is because they already have their section, which had gone a very long way in protecting them and their religious discussions.
..
If you think I am telling lies, then wait for any Christian Thread, you will see lots of Atheists and Agnostics, and Should I say “Free-thinkers” trying to divert the discussions.
...
In-fact, I had spotted one of them already up there.

Dear Mods And Supermods..
..
Please Create A Christian Sub-section specifically for the Christians on Nairaland.
Let anybody and everybody that wants to comment on any such thread in the Christian Sub-section Agree to A Creed that goes like this:

Are You A Christian? (This should be the Heading of the Creed)

“I believe that there no other God but the One True Almighty God.”

“I believe that Jesus Is The Son Of God, And that He Is the Christ Who Came Down To Earth And Saved All Mankind From Sin; And that He is also my Personal Lord and Saviour”

“I believe that Jesus is the Way, The Truth, and Life, and that nobody goes to God except through Jesus”

“I believe that Unless Someone Is Born Again Through Water And Holy Spirit, He Cannot Enter The Kingdom Of God.”

After All these Christian Creed,, then create a button for such persons to either accept or reject..

“Yes, I'm Christian and I believe all of the above”

“No, I don't believe them”

Also indicate the warning that: (The above declarations will be posted on your profile if you click “YES”)
...
..
It is highly unfair to Christians on Nairaland that it is only ISLAM FOR MUSLIMS that happened to be the only Religious Sub-section on Nairaland.
Other various religious sub-sections are also supposed to feature too in order to make things balance very well on this forum.
..
..
The attached screenshot below is an example of what someone must agree to in order to comment on any thread that finds itself inside the Islam-For-Muslims Section.
..
No matter how educative or enlightening the thread is, once you're not a muslim (and you cannot get yourself to accept the muslim beliefs) then you can only read the thread and jump and pass.
..
Your opinion will never ever be needed on such a thread.

Politics › The Nigerian Constitution Is Very Silent On REFERENDUMS. by BluntCrazeMan(op):
For those that may care to know, the Nigerian Constitution actually mentioned referendum, but in very few cases.
It can only be conducted in these three situations:

1). When there is need for the creation of a new State or a new Local Government Area (Section-8 of the Constitution).

2). When there is need to recall a National-Assembly member (Section-69 of the Constitution).

3). When there is need to recall a State House-Of-Assembly member (Section-110 of the Constitution).

And in all the cases, it is only INEC that has the sole power to conduct any of the referendums.
..
..
In the Nigerian Constitution, there is no full section where referendums are explained and detailed; where the Constitution stipulated that some categories of national or State issues, or some magnitudes of national or State issues shall be decided either fully or partly by referendums.
..
It only means that, apart from these three situations stated above, every other form (or type) of National or State issues shall be decided FULLY by the Federal or State Legislature and the Judiciary.
...
For those of you that are shouting Referendum Referendum Referendum.!!
Please, know it now that since you're not seeking for the creation of a new State or Local Government, or for the recall of any of your Legislative Members, then you cannot get it. Even if Nigeria wants to give you the Referendum, the Constitution highly restricted such.

And Most Importantly, Please Note That:
REFERENDUM IS NOT WAR.
..
Referendum Means “General Voting by the people on an important issue”.
