For those people who continue to always say that Peter-Obi usually unleashes his “Loyal” attack-dogs (the Obidients) upon his political opponents, or upon anybody who says anything bad against him..,, I have good news for ALL OF YOU....

....On the Democracy Day of 2024, Peter-Obi made a very compassionate heart-warming tweet towards Tinubu, and this didn't go down well for the Obidients.. AND THEY DESCENDED HEAVILY ON PETER-OBI..

YES.. THE OBIDIENTS FIERCELY ATTACKED PETER-OBI UNDER HIS OWN TWEET..

Even Aisha-Yesufu was so happy that the So-Called Peter-Obi’s LOYAL Obidients didn't have any pity on him while attacking him..
..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HQQGwpZdQk

Now I am asking everybody,, “is it that Peter-Obi who usually send the Obidients to attack other people now ALSO sent the same Obidients to attack him with such alacrity”.??

Rhenno hated Peter-Obi because of these same Obidients.. Now, these same Obidients brutally came for the same Peter-Obi.

NOW,, WHO ELSE IS SAFE FROM THESE OBIDIENTS.??
THEY DON'T SHOW MERCY.
THEY DON'T TAKE SIDES.
THEY DON'T TAKE PRISONERS.!!

((See Peter Obi’s Tweet Below))
Peter Obi:
I was saddened to learn of President Tinubu’s unfortunate fall today. I wish him well. We achieve nothing by gloating about an accident that could well happen to any of us.
..
We are all human beings and, while we profoundly disagree on how to move Nigeria forward, we must remember our common human frailty. Let us stay focused on the issues that will lead to a new Nigeria.
..
May this moment serve as a poignant reminder of our shared humanity and the need for compassion, empathy, and unity in our pursuit of a brighter future for our great nation. -PO

1. how is lack of data responsible for squandering and embezzling taxes?

b. are you saying that all taxes that made it to their destination were never and have never been embezzled and squandered?

2. if there is no data, how did you arrive at your 56%?

b. how is lack of data responsible for leakages into private pockets and the present abysmal state of the economy?

3. I have read what you have written above. how does it answer the question....What is the benefit of all this data you are talking about?
In order to respond fully, I would require to write long epistles..

you didnt answer my questions.

1. All the income and sundry taxes that have been paid so far, what has been done with them?
They were squandered and embezzled (even by the third-party collectors of the taxes) because there is no accurate data to track the Taxes from the Source to their various destinations.

2. Is it because government does have data to track the amount of money in the system according to you that economy is in shambles?
YESS..
The amount of leakages in the economy accounts for up to 56% losses Year-On-Year.
((This is the reason some people would always say “the economy is bleeding”.. It means that lots of leakages into private pockets are happening, and they were not even noticed.

3. What is the benefit of all this data you are talking about?
Read the responses I have given above.

Many Nigerians are facing hard times, you wanna increase it?? huh
The current amount being paid as “Tax” in Nigeria is not amongst the first-twenty of the major problems in Nigeria..
But I can tell you that the current methods of taxing is amongst the first-ten problems in Nigeria.
We need to set our priorities right in this country.

LandMann:
You have been conditioned like in Pavlov's dog and bell experiment to believe that more taxes is what the government needs to solve Nigeria's problem.

But what you don't know is that tax is an easy way for government to be extremely lazy and unproductive.

Also, tax discourages productivity.

There are countries doing well without taxing their citizens

Stop giving the corrupt and useless government in Nigeria ammunition to kill the people
It's like you misunderstood my point..

Efficient Taxing Systems is what I am talking about.. Not increasing the Tax..

Please go back and read my submission again.
Thanks.

Are you dreaming or what? Nigerians pay income tax. I am very sure of that. pay as you earn is one of them that is heavily imposed even on private workers. Go do your research again abeg no come dey yarn nonsense here.
I would need you to give me the percentages of the Nigerian employees and that of the business-owners who consistently pay their income taxes in Nigeria..

Just two percentages alone are all I need here.
One for the Nigerian Employees (both public and private);
And the other for the Nigerian Business Owners.

If you paid attention,, I'm talking about accurate robust data here, and not whether there are people who are paying or not..

What percentage of all the supermarket employees in Nigeria are paying their taxes?

What percentage of all the shop attendants in Nigeria are paying their taxes??

Do These Businessmen who own long threads-and-chains of shops pay their taxes?

One thing you should know is that...
“There is no robust/all-encompassing tax database in Nigeria”

If not,, why could someone buy a Bentley Vehicle in Nigeria, (and even had the tax duly deducted),, and yet the TIN of the person who bought the vehicle and paid the Tax was not captured??
((Not to talk of the TIN of the seller being captured too.. Thus, the government can never get to know WHO bought WHAT - and then, when, where, and how..))

One thing you should know is this:
“Accurate data helps both the people and the government to properly track how much Tax that were collected, and how the money was used by the government.”

With Accurate Data, the government will always be on their toes, so as to always do their best in order to be better than their past records.
But where there is no data,, there won't be “PAST RECORDS” to be compared with..

SO, WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU SAYING.??

Politics › The National Assembly Should Propose A Strong MINIMUM WAGE LAW -- My Opinion by BluntCrazeMan(op): 2:23pm On Jun 10, 2024
The National Assembly should propose a “MINIMUM WAGE LAW” which is supposed to make all the wages, allowances, bonuses, remunerations, and all forms of emoluments of ALL PERSONS who are working (or rendering services) in Nigeria for ALL of them to be factored (for each worker) based on the “NATIONALLY AGREED MINIMUM WAGE”; except for such informal workers who had some PERSONAL AGREEMENTS with their employers for them to be paid amounts which are not based on the NATIONALLY AGREED MINIMUM WAGE.

This means,, for all those categories of formal workers whose payments are Not based on BARGAINED PERSONAL AGREEMENTS, (whether they are working for Public or Private Firms) then, their payments must be A Factor of the “NATIONALLY AGREED MINIMUM WAGE”, and this Factor must Not be Less than 1.00.

This law must apply for all categories of workers, including politically elected officials, political appointees, political staffers and aides, and so on.

This would mean that the AMOUNT PAID to every supposed formal-worker in Nigeria, ((STARTING FROM THE PRESIDENT TO THE LEGISLATIVE MEMBERS, AND DOWN TO THE SMALLEST-EARNING WORKERS)) are all supposed to be calculated based on the The NATIONALLY AGREED MINIMUM WAGE -- which is also supposed to be the ultimate-denominator and the root of all the payments for ALL formal-workers in Nigeria.

Are you new herehuh Nigerians pay income tax infact for government workers, both state and Federal, it's deducted from source. Same thing is done for most private organisations too. Commodity tax is also charged in supermarkets, malls etc., there's consumption tax too, whether it's remitted is talk for another day. Taxes with no corresponding economic improvement rather looted or spent on a select few.
Give me the percentages of Nigerian employees and that of the business-owners who pay their income taxes in Nigeria..

Do These Businessmen who own threads and chains of shops pay their taxes?

The concerns you raised (which I emboldened) are caused by one thing.....
“There is no robust/all-encompassing tax database in Nigeria”

Why could someone buy a Bentley Vehicle in Nigeria, and the tax duly deducted,, yet the TIN of the person who bought the vehicle and paid the Tax was not captured??
((Not to talk of the TIN of the seller being captured too.. Thus, the government can never get to know WHO bought WHAT - and then, when, where, and how..))

BluntCrazeMan:
ELECTORAL REFORMS:
((SUGGESTIONS))

INEC SHOULD BE MANDATED BY THE ELECTORAL-ACT TO SEND ALL THEIR ELECTION DATA TO THE NATIONAL BUREAU OF STATISTICS (NBS) AFTER EACH ELECTION.

The National Assembly should amend the Section-62-(subsection-2) of the Electoral-Act in such a way that the INEC should be mandated -- to within a SPECIFIED TIMEFRAME after the announcement of the results (Say; 2-weeks) -- publish on their website; ALL the Election Accreditation Data including the summarized final results, together with all the lower-level collated results and the various results of the various Polling-units -- for each of the elections that are concluded by the INEC.
(The Election Accreditation Data which are published on the website should come with all the possible categorizations and demographics fully represented).

..

The Electoral-Act should also be amended in such a way to mandate the INEC -- to within a SPECIFIED TIMEFRAME after the announcement of the results (Say; 2-weeks) -- Formally/Officially send ALL the Election Accreditation Data including the summarized final results to the office of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) for statistical documentation purposes.
The NBS (after receiving the set of data from the INEC) should be mandated by the Electoral-Act to run series of necessary independent consistency-tests on the whole set of data received (without any further compulsory input from the INEC during the period of the consistency-tests) before making the data public on their platforms; from where independent researchers can have access to the election data.

The maximum timeline for the election data to be made public by the NBS (including the publishing of the comprehensive reports which showed all the methodologies and the full results of all the consistency-tests which they conducted on the election results) should also be specified inside the Electoral-Act.. (Say; 3-weeks).

(The Election Accreditation Data that is sent to the NBS by the INEC should have all the possible categorizations and demographics fully represented in it)

The Electoral-Act should also indicate what would happen to the sets of data that were sent to the NBS, should in case the data-set FAILS the mandatory consistency-tests that would be conducted by the NBS.

BluntCrazeMan:
I strongly believe that the day when the INEC-Results (and all the Possible Election DATA that goes with the Results) start to get fully published for public viewing and scrutiny (and also open to independent forensic audit) within 14-days of declaring the results,, that would be the only time our elections are beginning to get transparent enough...
Politics › Re: Nigeria's Five Largest Sectors In 2003, 2013 & 2023 -- Statisense by BluntCrazeMan(op):
But wait..

I am still wondering why ALL WORKING, AND ALL EARNING NIGERIANS are not paying adequate and corresponding INCOME TAX on their supposed incomes and earnings.

And then, why are Nigerians not consistent in paying Commodity Taxes, and Luxury Taxes.

AND NOBODY IS SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT IT..

These taxes are not just merely supposed to only be serving as sources of income for the government alone,, but they are also supposed to be good methods by which the Government track how much money is in the system, how these money get into the system,, and how they are being spent...

Then again,, I just remembered that in Nigeria as a country, we don't even have an accurate database which contains the number of the Nigerian Citizens and Residents who are working as employees (whether for the government or for private establishments),, or the number of people who are owners of businesses (whether they work alone in the business by themselves, or whether they employed any employees)..

THERE IS NO ACCURATE DATA ANYWHERE,, NOT TO TALK ABOUT WHETHER THE DATA IS COMPLETE OR NOT..

What type of news is this??

He had accepted it already..
That's why he is actively in opposition..

That he continues to say that the election was nothing to write home about,, does that mean that he didn't accept the outcome of the election??

Now,, by telling him to “MOVE ON”,, they are actually trying to tell him to stop being an Opposition, which is very impossible for the moment..

That's a major gaslighting phrase coming out from them,, and I vehemently condemn (on behalf of Peter-Obi) that foul and weak language which came out from them..
