Romance › Re: Is It Too Late To Marry At 34 For A Man? What Age Is Best For Marriage? by bmdmixer: 10:14am On Apr 29, 2020 |
whitelotus: A friend of mine, a man, just got engaged. He is 34.
On our "group of friends" WhatsApp group, someone mentioned that the guy is marrying too late. It started a whole debate. The guy getting married at 34 defended himself that he waited until he had money, as starting a family is no joke, financially.
Some people were arguing that one should just get married at 25 and everything will fall into place.
I got married at 30 and people on the group were also blasting me that I got married a bit late. I am a man also
What do you guys think?
Please, mature responses u are in a group filled with under age children |

Family › Re: My Husband Has Become A Domestic Slave In Our House & I Do Not Know How To Stop by bmdmixer: 9:59am On Apr 29, 2020 |
Beautykate: I am writing to ask if you can help me to persuade my husband to do less around the house. I am worried that he is going to make himself ill from exhaustion. Also, and it is hard for me to say this to him without being hurtful, I married him for his fun personality not his work ethic and I fear I am losing him to domestic drudgery. I want an equal partner, not a slave.
We have a toddler and a baby, born few months ago. During the pregnancy, I was quite tired and run down and my darling, supportive husband started to do more and more around the house and with our son (and despite a full-time, responsible job, he has always done more than his fair share of housework). I am now breastfeeding the baby, which is tough because he barely stops feeding and won't really nap anywhere except in my arms.
So this leaves my husband doing the shopping, tidying, washing and cooking. He gets up at 6am every morning to get our toddler ready for nursery, with a packed lunch, and he drops him off before he can get himself off to work. Meanwhile, I just sit around feeding the baby!
I feel permanently guilty and as if the only way I will get my husband to do less is if I do more. The thing is that I can walk away from mess and he can't.
I hugely appreciate him helping, but, beyond the basics, would rather see him sleeping or even cuddling me on the sofa rather than trying to be on top of everything. I love my husband – he is truly the sweetest, most loving, most wonderful lover and father, but I find myself resenting the fact that I barely see his fun side these days because he is so tired that he is essentially ill – and I can't help thinking it is at least partly self-inflicted which state re u in lagos |

Romance › Re: She Said She Can't Marry Me Because I Am A Tailor by bmdmixer: 12:53am On Apr 29, 2020 |
ProfDview1: There is this lady I like so much, even my friends know that I like her so much and will love to spend the rest of my life with her.
One day, I saw her with my friend and I later asked her why she is so close to my friend. She said they are dating each other, that she cannot marry me simply because I am tailor.
My friend is a yahoo boy, he doesn't have any work. The only way he eats is via internet scam. To be honest I was so pained, moreover she is not the only lady to have done this to me. Have met several ladies that told me that they can't marry a tailor and they end up dating yahoo Boys for my street.
They always tell me to leave my tailoring job and go hustle like my frnds to make cool money.
Guys, I am tired.. Should I leave the tailoring job and join my friends to do the yahoo stuff?
Girls keep rejecting me up and down and I am fed up.
Pls advise me because toto u wan leave legit ur yahoo friends wen wan learn better hand work, just improve on ur skills stop sewing local looking wears n improve peace out |
Business › Re: Advice: How To Get Emotionally Detached From My CLIENTS by bmdmixer: 9:45pm On Apr 28, 2020 |
ModestGal: Hey Nl, I have clients from many places around the world, but I have a problem, I get emotional with them. Many atimes, I would leave this clients myself because of the fact that I want them to be happy so much that I fear I may fail them in a little way. It's called anxiety
In my business deals, I care about the objectives/goals of my clients, and with them, I always have a form for them. I'm a very nice person, and very empathetic so most of my potential clients develop a high trust and love for me. And thus, when they put mouth into the story of their lives, I won't be able to stop them, and they go very deep. I usually end up turning to a counsellor or a friend because naturally, I'm endowed with deep understanding of things, and how to solve some problems.
Back to business now, I would not wish to charge them too much, or make them feel uncomfortable in anyway (this is me naturally, I will not charge my friend in real life for a job that doesn't require me to extra spend, and I love me like that).
Sometimes, I fear if they are not happy with some things, it might add more to their depression, all these fear would make me run away or even tell them I'm busy or do it for free for them depending on the type of service they need.
It seems an average person from Europe and America has some problems they are battling, and I cannot turn myself off from their battle when I know the solution, that's not possible. It seems I have no way out of this. I know myself always seeing opportunities for people neare and would wants to solve thier problems or help them grow, this is why I do not have close friends, because I fear the mental work would be too much. This night, I checked my mail and saw a potential client who has written me what I asked her to do, we started talking, and I notice it's heading to that direction What is your suggestion? ............ If you are a Nigerian, and your only problem is poverty, you need to thank God. Some people are wealthy but full of different problems that disturbs their mental health so much. Be thankful what kind of biz u do? and u saying u get emotional and sleep with them also abi kini? |
