You will agree with me that hospitality business is one of the most profitable business in the world if well managed. A clear evidence of this argument is the numbers of hotel and other accomodation outlets you can find around you and still counting on a daily basis. As a typical Ibadan boy and a hospitality practitioner with over 30 years experience in the industry. I can't stop imagine the secret of existence of some of the hotels in Ibadan that has been existing over the past 30 years in the city. I know there is no other secret to any sustainable business more than good management and intangible assets that has been built over the years by the owner or the management. Interestingly, 95% of the hotel in Nigeria today are privately owned by individual or partnership. This argument again brought my attention to some of the oldest and active outlet in the second largest city in Africa. Here are three to four hotels that are still keeping the legacy of hospitality in Ibadan over 30 years ago. 1. KAKANFO INN 2. HILLTOP TAVERN 3. DAVIES HOTEL 4. UI HOTEL 5. KS MOTEL Unfortunately, Premier hotel is suppose to be on the list. While D'Rovas, Lafia Hotel, Green Springs, SEGELU are not active anymore. However I will like to receive more inputs on any information about oldest and active Hotel in Ibadan.

There was a fight between Solider and Police today around Secretariat. Both of the security were seen shooting at each other. They were seen shooting at each other around federal Secretariat too. |
Kudos to a first hand report from the Tourist. If there is any law or bill for this unnecessary charges . I, as a Nigerian and well learned expert in Tourism who love to sue the AU or Nigeria to Court. In Hospitality and Tourism Law, there are regulations guiding against unlawful act in the industry. But most patrons did not know. If there is any law that says that there should be a particular percentage of charges on Visa processing to any African Inbound tours and it been violated. Please feel free to go to court and teach any violating territory a lesson. We really need to be strict with our life's in Africa. |
Felix6:A very good observation. The turf are very cool for international standard. I hope they manage this facility well for future opportunities to host international standard |
See how ball is flying in the sky like volleyball ball match. If DR congo handle Nigeria with this sky ball matters, we can chop nothing less than 7 goals |

SalamRushdie:Honestly, nobody want to stay in this shithole anymore. But despite that, Nigeria youth need to rethink if what it takes to makes this nation a better place for everyone. There are many people who are giving all their best everyday with no results and time is waiting for no one. Before, only politicians and super rich man pikin can afford japa. But the rate at which an average Nigerians is running out of this nation is really alarming. |

Hi Nairalander, Permit me to share my perception on how much Nigerians are spending daily to survive in this country. And moreso, to motivate and encourage everyone to keep their head up in whatever situation they may find themselves now. Living in Nigeria in recent time is really on the high side compared to what we have in the past 8 years, including the means of communicating with people. As transportation fare as skyrocketed to a world beyond. Internet and call charges are also showing their pain on the customers with the claim on the price of servicing a working network in Nigeria. Anyways, I have something to boost your morale this morning and I will like to know your opinion. Please if you are buying data to communicate to the world on your own without begging anyone to subscribe for you. I swear you are not poor. Regardless of the type of gadget you are using to communicate. As long as you are the one buying data by yourself in Nigeria today. You are not poor like that. You are only seeing the problem and mostly not the opportunities of being on the internet. ( Dey play ) Take a time to calculate how much you are using to buy data monthly and you will realize that you are rich enough to pay someone's salary monthly. |

In any buisness or project entities. Try to work on the people's review. What they say matters to your buisness or project. Nigeria need to work again. We need to trust our police once again. We need to believe in our leaders again. Sometimes, I wonder if there is any government things real to me again. Police-VGS must work. We need to feel safe at home again. |
fortunateme:Yes, he was one of the Nigeria military finest in terms of intelligence service. He is now free from prison. Can't he just lay low and enjoy the rest of his life with calmness rather than causing another uproar. On the other hand. There is always an element of truth in every rumors. I am still very sure of many untapped resources wasting away or mined illegally in the North. |
