No official Salary increase yet... Opposition is quiet. Very high cost of living... Opposition is quiet. Severe fuel scarcity everywhere... Opposition is quiet. Yet these stuuupiiied opposing people are breaking their necks to stop a road which to me will even be beneficial if completed. No wonder Tinubu has not even bothered to utter a word himself. What manner of people do we have as opposition leaders. Greedy selfish people! |
The Mayor of Dubai has spoken. The fraud says he's fighting corruption. He should start by giving up all the assets he fraudulently acquired in Dubai and all the ones he fraudulently acquired during the days of privatisation. |
Most ethnic bigots like Perra Obi only oppose the Coastal road because it doesn't directly link the SE. My question is why didn't these bigots oppose the 2nd Niger bridge and instead ask for a perpetual repair and refurbishment of the old bridge. They all supported the new bridge and are enjoying it. But have the guts to say the new Coastal road should be suspended because there's an old road that can be repaired. Thats Hypocrisy at its highest point! |
234GT:Am sure you're from Obi's side. People of hate and envy. |
Were you people among those using the beach illegally too. |
This makes me respect Wizkid the more. That he was born and grew up in a shanty and still became great and very wealthy shows that your beginning doesn't matter. Hard work and determination is what really matters. Take a bow Wizzy, you're an inspiration to poor and homeless kids. |
You no go hear perra Obi talk now ooo. All his attention is on Lagos and Lagos road. If single pin drop for Lagos he go rush go twitter. To say na for Lagos herdsmen kill even one person Obi no for let us hear word. Anything for SE no concern am! Ode buruku!!! |
You only receive compensation if your personal land is taken or if your approved building is destroyed. Landmark didn't have any personal land taken because the beach is public property and no regular building of theirs was destroyed. They are entitled to zero compensation and accordingly got none. Landmark was only trying to blackmail the government into allowing them to keep using the beach illegally without buying it or paying rent on it. They recruited Peter Obi in their propaganda war with Federal Government but failed woefully. Thank God the road continues. |
The owner of Landmark was just a politician masquerading as a investor. He said he saw the beach lying fallow and decided to build it up... Without any recourse to federal government the owners or official permit. Is that how things are done in the abroad country he claimed he came from. He was just trying to blackmail the government emotionally to let his personal investment investment be on the beach. The beach is a public property. If he wants to build a proper beach resort he should buy/rent a beachland properly and accordingly and from the rightful owners too which is the F. G. Thank God his blackmail failed and the road will progress. Gov. Soludo is busy destroying houses everyday in Anambra for new roads but you'll never hear Obi talk. But once it comes to Lagos, you'll see him Obi jumping like a loosened monkey claiming he now loves Lagos more than his SE. Enemies of progress will keep failing. |

That road is too important to delayed because of one greedy businessman who is squatting on the beach illegally and has turned the beach which is supposed to be a public property into his personal business venture. |
SoNature:You squat in another man's property. He now wants to develop it and your advice is to sue instead of plead for time or negotiate. It's only in Nigeria that greedy individuals barricade and fence off a public beach in the name of business. Every coastal town has free public beach but in a Lagos that has more than 50km of ocean front you can't sight an inch of the beach freely. Gone are the good days of open bar beach where one can visit and relax and just watch the ocean waves. All the beaches are now illegal personal commercial properties. My suggestion is to open up all these barricaded beaches where you pay to enter, pay again just to even sit down, and pay x3 for everything. As for the road, it will bring far more good and development than what will give way. It will also decongest Lagos and make travelling to Niger Delta areas faster. Far better than Buhari that borrowed money to build railway to Niger Republic. |

For the first time I have to agree that Sowore is making sense. This school might have been acting as a money laundering partner for these big guys in government. How can you pay six years school fees in advance for kids still in primary school and not yet in your school. If this wasn't discovered, the ex governor will simply go back there next year and terminate the contract and collect 80% of the money. Leaving the rest for the corrupt school officials to pocket the rest. Deal done! Teachers there won't even know what's happening. Only the owner, principal and accountant will be involved. It's possible they do this too for other Politcians who pay fees for non existent children and later refund a percentage of it to the criminal when required. |
XtraFortunes:Here goes another Obi supporter. People that think through their anus! |
Watinhapen:Another bitter Peter Obi supporter venting his frustration out. Bitterness leads you people nowhere. For once be happy with progress in Nigeria and wish us well. |
Good2go1:Another bitter Obi supporter spotted! |
KIDfurniture:I know your from a certain place full of envious people. Always bitter when there's progress. That your wish will never come to pass. |
Best news of the week. Iam also happy that the compensation will be paid immediately. A direct road linking the biggest economy in Nigeria and the Oil producing regions through the coast is the best thing that can happen to Nigeria. Lots of premium land will be established and access to potential new sea ports will be opened. |
This shows that Lagos state is being held hostage and blackmailed by people of certain origin. Every other state in Nigeria is free to demolish infractions in order to build but once it comes to Lagos state government, you'll see some people shouting that the government is heartless for destroying people's investment. If it was in Anambra or Imo etc, that Landmark beach would have gone by now if there was an important major road to be built. But because it's in Lagos, you'll see Peter Obi and their group shouting. Obi that cannot comment on anything in the SE now sees Lagos as his home that must work according to his feelings. |

So why was he declared wanted in the first place. Was it that he fled his palace or went into hiding immediately after the killings. Because I see no reason why a traditional ruler will be declared wanted in his own domain and up till now hasn't returned. |

So they ended up excluding the City of David Parish where he worshipped from the events. A good lesson for all to learn from. |

This is the onset of Dementia. And like Biden, age and memory issues are clearly catching up with the old man. He's outliving his usefulness and the best thing is for him to resign so that his younger deputy or an acting GO be appointed. But he'll rather die on the post. For a church he never founded. |
Hahaha... Since last month when CR7 made a public mockery of the French league by saying that even the Saudi league is tougher, Mbakpe decided to hasten his PSG exit without further delay. That's good for him because he could have 50 years in PSG without any Champions League trophy. |

The question is what are those departments of CBN eg Banking Supervision doing in Abuja in the first place. Those greedy staff want to be taking estacodes and flight tickets and hotel money every month instead of staying in the place where 95% of all the banking/financial headquarters that they are supervising are based. There was a time Abacha even took NPA and NIMASA head office to Abuja before the madness was reversed during the civilian rule. The sooner we get more efficient and start saving costs the better for us. |
