hey Kag how you interpret prophecy is your business, but I see things differently, ok? With that said I won't bicker about what means what or not. The point is the bible's clear prophecies are coming to pass and some have already come to pass. How you and I see their fulfillment is irrelivant to our discussion of the TOE. My reasons for using the bible as reference was based on Nferyn's comments previously. If I could show you the truths of the bible, then the God of the bible would be seen as true also. To try and twist bible interpretation to make it look un-reliable or inconsistent just won't work, because a secular mind cannot understand the things of God. No insult intended, just plain old facts."Spiritual things are spiritually discerned" My concerns with the TOE is its inconsistencies. Theyhave been so many variants to the theory its not funny. Its almost as if they are feeling as they go along. The uniformist approach just doesn't hold based on what the same science has discovered. So its one body of science that is militating against the other body of science. They are too many loopholes in all this fancy-sounding theories, It all words with no meaning. The bible if its rightly understood and appreciated will, and can do far more for the human mind and body than any knowledge of science is concerned, and moreso the TTOE. |
The one thing that science cannot explain is sin. This is what is causing all the misfortunes presently plauging the world. The drama of the great controversy between good and evil is playing out itself right on planet earth. This world is the only isolated one having to contend with sin. Literally its a dark world. All the evils and misfortunes we see around us on a daily basis is a constant reminder that evil is present, and that it had to have started somewhere and somehow. Man has to live with the consequences of disobedience, and that will not change until the Creator of the universe steps in to finally put a stop to evil. Until then we will be faced with increasing misfortunes and evil, but christians knowing all of this are in a better position to deal with it. The truth is mankind with all his fancy knowledge is clueless as to how to solve mankind's crises. Just take a look at the news and you'll see that. And the bible is on target where that is concerned. It predicted that the world will get worse, and science says its getting better. Scientific knowledge is good; don't get me wrong, but when its in the hands of secular people, who frown at the thought of God, it amounts to very little. Can you imagine if every scientist had a knowledge of God what this world might have become? Until mankind returns to is Creator he is doomed. |
Back to the TOE. There can be no sense in teaching that dead chemicals came to life and formed life over time. Besides the uniformistic view that everything remains constant over a long time period wouldn't hold true in the case of Oxygen being used by living cells today as a natural part of their body's chemical processes. If early life in the form of cells according to the TOE, could have existed with out oxygen then why not discontinue with it today? Basic biochemistry of which I am knowledgable specifies that oxygen as a free radical reacts with all bio-molecules. That is why the advocates came up with this grand idea that the early earth's atmosphere had no oxygen surrounding it. Of course how could a young earth have protected itself and its life forms, if there were no protetion from the UV radiation coming from the Sun, via the Ozone layer. The bible solves that problem when it said that God put everything in place during His creation. All life forms had their own built in protection, although the newly created earth and its atmosphere posed no problem as such. There was never any evidence from the start that the earth in earlier times had no oxygen. All these statements from the advocates of the TOE are mere conjecture. In fact there are geological evidences that show unquestionably, that the earth as far back as can be dated, based on limestone formation, and the presence of ferrous iron found in foundation rocks, proves their conjecture false. There ia a lot more to come. |
No, what you see isn't space "declaring the Glory of God", and you definitely don't see the "heavens standing fast" (remember the Universe expanding - see your Bing Bang theory manuals for more information).Just as a reminder the word "fast" in his context doesn't mean static. It means stable. In other words the universe isn't breaking up or falling apart. Besides, who is talking about space? What we actually see through a telescope, is a smidgen (and what a smidgen) of a vast - and you have no idea how vast - Universe. No Gods, no fairies, no monsters, and defiitely not a peep, or even a whisper, from the "declaring heavens".I know how vast this universe is, but the photoshots say it all. Just more recently more planets were discovered in our galaxy. Only goes to show there is more surprise to come. Disregarding the deceptive (in my opinion) poor attempts to retroactively apply events to alledged, and clearly ambiguous "prophcies" in the Bible (in fact sometimes the "prophecy was fulfilled" crowd even rope in words and statements that clearly weren't intended to be interpreted as prophetic), I'll see your challenge.Really now? ![]() Here's one:Well it depends on how one defines descendants. According to Paul the apostle all who accept Christ are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promse made to Abraham. God in His fore knowledge knew about a spiritual family that would not just be confined to a literal race, but to all those who will be saved in God's kingdom. Good attempt anyway! Here are a couple, which I and many Jewish scholars are certain were not intended to be read as messianic prophecies, but Christians have decided they are indeed messianic, so let's humour them:Is that all you have to say about the prophecy? Believe what you desire, but I believe otherwise. Mary was untouched sexually and hence was a virgin. If she weren't then she would have had children before having Jesus. Isaiah 53:7I could be wrong but you're saying based on what you understand of the record of Jesus as found in the NT that He wasn't really silent after all during His crucifixion, yet the prophecy said He would have been. The expression used in Isaiah isn't dwelling so much on whether or not Jesus wouldn't speak, but rather its focus was on He not resisting His crucifixion. It also means that Christ never spoke in order to defend Himself. So the expression "openeth not His mouth" more dwelt on his lack of vocal defence. In either case you haven't disproved anything. |
@ nferyn Show me the evidence for your as of yet imaginary being.Next time peer through a powerful telescope and take a good look. You'll see that: "the heavens declare God's glory, " It was He who stretched the heavens with the command of His word. By simply speaking the heavens came into being and stood fast. It is He who holds your breath. Besides the physical evidences, there is the prophetic evidences from His word. Name a prediction from the bible that hasn't been fulfilled or is being fulfilled? Probably if you took time to meditate on God's word you'd see for yourself. |
@ nferyn @ BobbyafWhy should truth be a complex thing? I will consider life to be the ability of a self-organising biological system to reproduce and persists, whereby usable energy into the system is targeted at that persistence and/or reproductionAnd I guess that self-organizing biological system had to have started with biomolecules, right? You make it sound as if these bio-molecules just happened to come together by chance. Where did these bio-molecules come from? Where did the atomic structure for these bio-molecules come from? All atoms and molecules are very structured. They had to have been designed knowing what we are finding out about these mysterious elements. * complex organic molecules being created by natural processes similar to the ones existing on the early earth has been observedYet not one of these lab experiments have produced life as yet have they? Why has man with all this knowledge from the past not been able to produce life in the form of a bacteria? A single cellular organism. This means that belief in the emergence of the first replicators on earth does not require any faith at all.Quite the opposite! Compare the structure and design of humans. Our ability to think and reason. Are you asking us to accept that humans came from a single-cellular life form, that gradually with time developed into complex creatures? You must be kidding. ![]() Now, once you have self-replicating organical compounds, the possibility to have copying errors and differential reproductive success of the different replicators, you basically have all the conditions set for evolutionary processes to do their job. Add to that deep geological timescales and once more, no faith is required to see how we can arrive at our current biodiversity. And you're yet to explain how these replicators happened to be surrounded by an already-complex cell membrane. How convenient that primordial DNA materials eventually made a membrane for its own protection. These molecules are really intelligent. Your explanative need for an intelligent designer is only a relflection of you lack of faith in the intellectual abilities of man. Its really strange how the TOE attempts to show and what is expected to be a gradual positive development of man, yet it fails to explain man's downward moral slide. Instead of seeing humans reaching that state of perfection as his genetic make up improves, as the theory should be predicting, it is instead showing man sliding downwards, socially and morally. The Bible from the very outset shows perfectly-created humans that sinned and came short of their Creator's glory which explains the downward trend of human values. The TOE doesn't have a clue as to whats going on. If anything it has created the social delemma facing us. The TOE has not provided the real answers. It has attempted to say where he came from, but has not been able to say why we are what we are today, and certainly it lacks the capacity to guide us for the future. Trust me only the bible can give the asnwers for human confusion and endless evil. No amount of scientic discoveries and research can sway the heart of man. Only the love of a Creator-God can see the heart of mankind and bring us to the point where we see the need to humble ourselves and accept that our knowledge is folly when compared to the abounding wisdom of God. |
can we go back to the topic at hand please? God is never to be blamed for our misfortunes. I m more likely to think that its our choices in life that tend to bring bad consequences in our lives. Sin is responsible for all misfortunes. Its the curse that this earth must bear and contend with until God finally puts an end to it. |
@ nferyn Ok let us move away from the TOE for awhile. Thats a different kettle of fish. Ok can you exlain how life began on planet earth? What happened before that single-cellular organism came into being. We have to begin somewhere, right? Please don't tell me to go read it. I want you to briefly lay out sequence. How did things move from non-living to living? Most so-called experts on the matter would have us believe that bacteria and algae were the original life forms, that existed millions if not billions of years ago. Doesn't that make you stop to think about the veracity of such a basic assumption, that the millions of animal and plant species we have today just came into being after so many millions of years afterwards. I will repeat this requires far more faith than what is required to accept that there is an intelligent Designer. ![]() |
Daniel 2:44 44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Here human philosophy will be replaced by God's philosophy once and for all. Daniel 7:18 18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. Here the literal occupation of the kingdom by God's redeemed takes place after sin and sinners are destroyed. Matthew 5:3 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Kingdom of heaven or Kingdom of God basically means the same thing. Heaven is a real place with real beings. If we plan to go to heaven then the Kingdom of heaven is where we will live. When Christ came He came with the spirit of heaven so that we could know how to make a difference between the worldly values, and that of the heavenly values; between what constitutes evil and good. So in essence Christ came to make us understand what His Father was about, and what was required for us to become apart of the spiritual kingdom of grace, and ultimately the literal kingdom of glory. Thats the essence of the kingdom. At first we must understand who God is before we can live with Him. |
@Seun When did God say that you can observe he sabbath on any day you like? You're putting words in God's mouth! Thanks for revisiting my major point. We cannot choose a day. He has already done that for us, and that day is the seventh-day sabbath which is Saturday. I can't see how putting words in God's mouth fits the bill, because no one is doing that. |
@Nferyn The only people for whom this is reliable, are the ones that already believe in a near literal interpretation of the Bible. For others, it carries little weight. People may believe in it, but that does not make it reliable.Appart from that there are justifiable reasons why christians have come to rely on it. All its prophecies have come to pass, except those that have not been fulfilled already. Which book do you know apart from the bible that has predicted and witnessed those predictions come to pass? It had also laid down scientific principles that were later rediscovered by scientists. So in other words science is catching up with divine revelation. Long before any scientists ever announced that the earth was round, the bible said it was. Long before scientist announced that air had weight, the bible said it long ago. The bible has specifically predicted about the rise and fall of specific nations, and voila, such is the case. No force has been able to reverse God's words. Isaiah 46:9,10 9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure |
Based on how Jesus described it in verses 3 and 5 of John 3, it does seem as if the kingdom is both a government and a place. I will give my response: John 3:33 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. In the context of Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus, the kingdom of God here would mean the government of God and everything that God stands for, and what He is presently doing on behalf of man's salvation. So when one enters the spiritual realm trough the rebirth, he is in a better position to percieve or see what this kingdom is all about. Of course if we are going to live with God in His kingdom then it means that kingdom will also have to be a place, and not just a concept. So its important to distinguish between the kingdom of grace and the kingdom of glory. |
Why? Please ellaborate and substantiate this statement.Well no one was there to see exactly what took place, so the evolutionist has to base his arguments on assumptions first then try to find evidence to match the assumptions. The christian by faith, which is another form of assumption, albeit a good one, , attempts to base his arguments on evidence also. When you stop to listen to the attempt to supply an abundance of evidence as put forward by the advocates of TTOE, and the way it is presented, and in such jargon, with its confusing terms, you begin to wonder. Please ellaborate. This rambling is void of content as it stands. My English is clear. The onous is on you to explain the jump from unicellular life forms to complex ones. Explain the jump. The bible accounts for a creation of mature humans, and animals who procreated after their own kind. This has continued fom generation to generation. We see it happen everyday. You mean these or rather these?I don't have a clue what you're trying to say here. I was hoping you'd address the thorny issue thats been plauging evolutionary scientists for awhile now. In my ignorance I may have overlooked such a dscovery of the missing link, but please be kind enough to show me a reasonable link that will reveal the truth and not some lame attempt at falsifying the facts. The Theory of Evolution is not a cosmological theory, but only deals with life, after the first replicators arose. It does not deal with the origin of life and it does not deal with the origin of the universe.Which carries us right back to square one. Where did life come from? Before there even was an earth where did the bio-molecules come from that program life? So why was the origin of life associated with it, that is the Big Bang? If there were no Big Bang there could have been no life on earth, according to these scientist, right? TTOE had its connections tied up with the Big Bang. Order does not imply design, only in the overactive minds of those adhering to a theistic cosmologySo what does if not design? Take a look at nature and tell me if you do not see design and order? Take a look at human cells. Look at the amazing chemical network of hormones working in harmony. Only an all-powerful-Creator-Designer God could have designed man's body. |
In addition to the question I asked earlier and would repeat, here are some more:The ten commandments in principle existed before Sinae. Exudus makes mention of God rebuking the children of Israel of Sabbath breaking long before Moses recieved it on the mount as recorded in the 20th chapter. If you're asking me when the tablets were given it would be when Moses recieved it on Mount Sinae. The sabbtah being Saturday is a day of rest from labour. God has given us 6 days in which to make a living. He has reserved His chosen day for us to totally dedicate it to Him. The only stipulation is to rest from our works. By so doing we keep the day holy. The day is already holy, but by resting we maintain that degree of holiness. By obeying God's instructions we reveal its true purpose andintent. |
@ Malik Bobby,Far from it Malik. Histroy proves without a doubt that the RCC fulfils this part of Daniel 7. 1. How has the 31/2 years become 1260 years when in God's prophetic calendar, a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years as one day (2 Pet. 3:Because a symbolic day prophetically represents a literal day. God said to Ezekiel that He has appointed a day for a year concerning a particlular prophecy. It so happens that all biblical scholars have agreed to accept that principle when used to calclate prophecy. Its not an Seventh-day Adventist invention. See Ezekiel 4:6; Numbers 14:34 Malik be reasonable how could a symbolic day represent 1000 years in prophecy? Name one prophetic fulflment that used a symbolic day to represent a literal 1000 years? Peter quoted from David in refernce to "a day is like a 1000 years, and a 1000 years is like a day" This has absolutely nothing to do with prophecy. Besides, the context as supplied by David doesn't suit it. If a symbolic day really represented a literal 1000 years, then it means that all that history has said about the birth of Jesus taking place in BC3, and His baptism takingplace in AD27 would be completely thrown out of course. Try and see where I am going with this. If history verifies that the start of the 70 weeks prophecy began in BC457, when Atthaxerses commanded the restoration of the wall of Jerusalem, and you are applying your principle of a day for 1000 years, can't you see where you would end up? 70 weeks would = 490 days and if each of those days = 1000 years according to you, then it means that the 69th week would be 69X7X1000 = 483,000 years. If we add 483,000 years to BC457 we would get the baptism of Christ occurng at: AD483457. Thats absolutely impossible. 2. How has the Roman Catholic Church become the little horn that speaks great things against the Most High God, as if other groups have not spoken such things against Him?Notice the name of the church? It came out of Rome. No other religious power ruled during the reign of the original 10 european kingdoms which came after Rome's demise. No other christian religious political power has blasphemed the christian God in God's name than the RCC. You seem to forget what the prophet said; 1. It would persecute or oppress the saints 2. It would think to change God's set(permanent) times and laws. The RCC has tampered with the 10 commandments by removing the second to facilitate idol and image worship, and the veneration of mary and saints. It has shortened the fourth commandment from 94 words to just eight in order to avoid mentioning which day is the Sabbath, and (3) dividing the tenth commandment into two commandments. The RCC has not hidden from the fact of its attempt. Listen to what it said as a religious body: Roman Catholic: No such law in the Bible "Nowhere in the bible do we find that Jesus or the apostles ordered that the Sabbath be changed from Saturday to Sunday. We have the commandment of God given to Moses to keep holy the Sabbath day, that is, the Seventh day of the week, Saturday. Today, all Christians keep Sunday because it has been revealed to us by the [Roman] church outside the Bible." Catholic Virginian, Oct. 3, 1947 "You may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctified." James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of Our Fathers (1917 ed.), pp.72,73 "If protestants would follow the Bible, they should worship God on the Sabbath Day, that is Saturday. In keeping Sunday they are following a law of the Catholic Church." Albert Smith, chancellor of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, replying for the cardinal in a letter of Feb. 10, 1920. From the Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine: "Q: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday? Answer: We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea (AD 336) transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday." 3. It looks like you're mixing up identities by equating the beast and the little horn. Look at what you said:Well it wouldn't be the beast in Daniel 7 since it came from among the 10 horns of the head of the 4th beast, however the first beast that came out f the sea in revelation 13,and the little horn in Daniel 7 are one and the same. The same time period alloted to the little horn as 3 1/2 years, is the same time period alloted to the beast power in Revelation 13 as 3 1/2 years. As a matter of fact Revelation supplies a variation of alotted time which all mean the same thing. In Revelation 13:5 says: 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. notice the parallels in both books. Daniel gave the duration of dominion and spoke of how blasphemous the little horn would be, then Revelation speaks the same thing. Revelation's 42 months = 42X30 = 1260 days = 1260 years Daniel's 3 1/2 times or years = 3 1/2 X 360 = 1260 days = 1260 years This is the excat period that the RCC ruled europe for before the French Revolution brought it to its knees in AD1798. Since the RCC officially got its launching from AD538, you can readily see why it fulfils the prophecy of ruling for 1260 years to the T. The reason why I used that historical backdrop is to show who was responsible for the change from the Lord's holy day of rest to Sunday observance as started by the Bishops of Rome, which spread eventually into eastern europe, and became a practise. No where in scriptures does it speak about a change from one day to the next either by Christ or His apostles. There remains a sabbath rest for the people of God. I don'e see how a day can remain and change at the same time. |
Most of you have hit the nail on the head. Let me ask another question. Knowing what you know today about medical science and its continous research findings, is there an ideal way to eat today? It does seem that once again God's original dietary plan given to man is being upheld as the ideal. Does God desire His children to pay particular attention to what they consume? Does it matter what we consume? Does God care what we put into our bodies, His temple? |
@simmy I do not neccesarily have to prove creationists right, all i have to do is prove t.oe wrongI agree, and as a matter of fact it may require more faith to believe in TTOE than is required to believe in creation. The bible simply has given a summary of what we have seen around us. We who are looking back at both accounts can only use what is now to explain what was then. I mean how could one unicellular life form have developed into so many varied lifeforms, possessing such complex and orderly processes, under the situations that have been presented by the advocates of TTOE? Today we see a cell producing similar cells, after its kind. The biggest thorn in the flesh for advocates of TTOE, is the missing links, for which they have not been able to give a reasonable answer. If a fish over time lost its fins to develop limbs, how come sceintists have never been able to show a creature showing the changes. Where are the intermediary forms? Strange indeed! |
One of the things that strikes me about the advocates of the Theory of evolution, because that is all it is, a theory, is their inability to see the illogical conclusion, or assumption, behind order after an explosion (Big Bang). In this part of the universe if something explodes it leads to destruction, and not order. More and more scientist peer into the universe and marvel at the orderliness of the same. They see a design, yet fail to acknowledge a Designer. Strange indeed. |
There are some medications that can lead to a hormone shift, which can lead to irregular menstrual cycles. I once helped a young lady who missed her cycle for about 5 years. I placed her on a nutrition program, together with lifestyle changes that helped to balance her hormones, and in two weeks which would normally have fallen within her cycle, she experienced normalcy. More than half of the problems that people encounter, can be solved using nutritional and lifestyle changes. Most of my clients use a special brand of whole food supplements, that I supply, along with dietary changes, and voila, improved health. I could share some experiences with you that will make you say "wow", but thats for another time. |
Masterbation especially in the context of being a christian, is nothing more than self abuse, and hence it is not healthy, both spiritually and mentally. It is classified as apart of sexual immorality. Let me explain. Masterbation cannot be accomplished without the mind playing a critical role. A person cannot just up and masterbate until his or her mind is centered sexually. Either the mind is getting a flashback from some pornographic material viewed before in the past, which then acts as a stimulant, or some time during the day a person was earlier stimulated by the sight about something of the opposite sex. Jesus once said that if a man looks at a woman with sexual intent he commits adultery. Masterbation involves a mental recap of an experience that will actually stimulate the ejaculation of semen. This is where the lust comes into the picture, where the person doing the act starts to imagine himself or herself doing it with someone else. No matter what the cause of stimulation it can never be seen as healthy or moral. The person who performs the act comes under spiritual depression as a christian, because of the accompanying deep-seated guilt. |
One question. Do the words Ghost and Spirit have the same root meaning? At what stage was the word ghost introduced in the translations? Both words come from the exact root form from Greek and Hebrew. IN 1611 when the KJV translation originated surely the word ghost as translated then, wasn't used to imply the "spirit of a deceased person" as we see the word today. Instead it was used to connote an immaterial being, that is describing the nature of God. Obviously the expression "Ghost of the Lord" poses a problem only as it relates to how it sounds. It wouldn't be the proper expression to use; soundwise. Peace. |
@ firdaus4us Do u know that Hebrew language which is the language of Jesus contains no letter J, then why do u call him Jesus not Isa, as it was written in original language of the Bible. Please ask anybody that understand the language before u post your respond.I believe that most people by now know that the letter J wasn't around when the time of the Hebrew language was developing. With that said what do you want us to know? |
I long for the day when all wars shall cease! That day is just around the corner, where men's injustice will be no more. Bless |
That was a good one T, ![]() |
I personally believe that there are some good and sound principles from the OT that were carried over into the NT. One such is the tithing system. Giving monetary support to God's cause on earth should not be confined to OT or NT periods. In fact the NT doesn't even mention much about tithing, but does it mean that because it originated in the OT, and not necessarily among the nation of Israel, that it doesn't have a place among modern-day christians? |
Blessed be the name of the Lord for that testimony Tayod. God is good all the time. He's kept me healthy and alive and I give Him thanks daily. I met a friend and church sister on a university campus some years ago who was telling us how gun men had invaded her home to steal and kill. To cut it short she recalled when an attempt was made to shoot her, but each time the gun jammed. Four times an attempt was made, and each time the gun failed to shoot. All during this time she called on Jesus with a calmness that she later marvelled about. The men gave up and ran away. They didn't even take the stuff they had come to steal. God is good. |
I agree! The religion of Islam unfortunately is built with an agenda to wage holy wars on all those who reject their prophet's teachings. You could understand if the targets of such holy wars were evilous and barbaric, but when innocent people are blasted to kingdom come, then one wonders how can reason prevail? Mark you not all followers of Islam are violent, just wanted to make that clear. |
Very well said bari_kade. Coming to think of it the topic should have been worded differently. But you have summed up everything perfectly. Gracias mi amigo! |
Concerned about which "innocent" deaths? If you don't know what do you expect me to say? Why did the Isreali govt place its citizens in bunkers and the Lebanese did not nor did they try to evacuate their citizens despite the numerous warnings by the IDF, a luxury Isreali "innocent" citizens do not enjoy at the hands of hizballah?I see what you're saying, so let us include those innocent deaths that occur in Israel too. Let me ask you are you concerned for those innocent deaths in Israel? "Innocent" citizens who would not hesitate to hide hizballah fighters, burn american and jewish flags and chant "Death to america"?Surely you don't believe that everybody in the fighting regions of Hezbollah are hiding and giving support to the terroists are you? If you've been watching the news you'd have witnessed innocent families suffering who had nothing to do with supporting any war. Just like the citizens of Israel they went about their normal business. Bombs came their way. Why is everyone specifically concerned ONLY about "innocent citizens" when the aggressors happen to be American or Isreali?Well, i agree with you. The problem in this case is on both sides. I am concerned too about innocent victims in Israel, lest you think I am not. ![]() Is the world blind to the fact that islamic millitias are killing more than 100 people a day in Iraq? What of afghanistan, sudan, somalia, chad? Are those not "innocent citizens" too? The same people yelling "concern for innocent citizens" were busy jubilating after sept 11?Thats kind of similar to the point I made about the world powers not showing enough concern in an area where they have vested interest. Why are they putting off the inevitable? |
Is there anything in the NT that sends out a negative message against tithing? Just curious! Secondly, what did Christ mean when He said render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, and unto God that which is God's. Does the tithe belong to God? Thirdly, was the tithing system instituted and confined only to the Old Covenant, for the jews only, or was it meant to be a general measure of testing loyalty and faithfulness to God? |
@ bari_kade Let me be the first to applaud that, and my unreserved apologies to you and everyone else where I might have spun off. ![]() |
@ diddy4 all these hypocrites calling isreal should better go get a life. what did they do huh? so they should just stand their and fold hands and watch those asswipes bomb them huh? how long will they be patient? who told you those lives they are slaying are innocent? who even told you they are civilians? who told u it aint the hezzy armies dressed as civilians huh? this is ridiculous. ![]() |
