Ma argument is most school accept 2.1 or 3.0 - 3.5 cgpa for direct masters while anything less u will do PGD unless for few sch that mayb accept less than 3.0 which is wht op was asking

But they said he can do master with 2.9 cgpa direct I asked them to list schools that accept it they couldn't all day just emotional stuff n stories they r putting up... Typical Nigerian without fact yet claim graduate n learn... Smh

You know nothing, learn from an experienced fellow that wanted to put you through.
Most schools hardly update their websites and that doesn't correlate to reality on ground.
IFE for example will subject you to general pg college assessment which is 2-2 and then departmental based screening tests for some departments same applied to UI, I think unilag also.
You still an undergraduate I guess.

And if he or she even performs well at the Master's level scoring 4.0 CGPA, the person can even be admitted into a Ph.D. programme. I know universities where Master's students with second-class lower degrees made it to their PhD programmes and those with second class upper degrees didn't make the cut-off point for their Ph.D. I also know professors that had 2.2 first degrees and teach in public universities and people who did their Master's programmes in those universities you mentioned but had 2.2.

OP, the world is your oyster. You either believe in yourself or in naysayers. Work hard; don't let your certificate stop you. Be trainable. Learn to learn. Increase your work rate and become a 21st century smart worker. In my career, I ran into this 2.2 UI graduate who had his Master's from Lag and I think crowned it with a Ph.D. from a private University much later. The man changed my life. He was suave, polished, hardworking, very, very creative and brilliant and he changed my life for good. I owe the success of my career to him because he mentored me and gave me the skills that enabled me have an edge in my career while working under him.

I rest my case. Won't discuss this issue further.

In well developed countries, no institution wants to be called out like this especially from a grieving student. They will be quick to make necessary adjustments and even compensate the student(s) in question. They are very wary of bad reviews from clients.

The majority of comments here just show that alot of Nigerians have accepted oppression as a norm and will allow leaders/those elected to serve them get away with every misbehaviour. Nobody wants to hold leaders accountable just to save their heads.

I was at apostolic faith camp at igbesa August last year and the school hostel was used because the student are on break.... The hostel is not bad Infact it stil look new mayb recently built or renovated
